Two-sided Board - does this mean the Game is in German and English?

  2. Avatar_profilePeachwsims on Thu Apr 03, 2008 09:10 PM

It's all in English, but one side has the United States and the other side has Germany. In my humble opinion, I believe the United States to be the "easy" side and Germany to be the "hard" side.

I don't have this one yet so no one else bid on it. :)

I really want this one been looking all over for it

This game is great fun, an engineer friend of mine has it :) It gets pretty cutthroat, too. I bid over 100 bucks for a 5 city renewable energy plant to crush someone else.

Super prize today, Tanga! I already have it, but this would make a great door prize at our monthly game club.

[2] I wouldn't classify the two board sides as easy/hard, just different. The Germany side is a little more evenly distributed, with the cheap connection areas spread around the board. The US side has all the cheap connections in the east and midwest, with the west being mostly expensive. Personally, I use the Germany board for new players, so they don't screw up and get locked into the expensive US west regions without realizing what they're doing.

This is a pretty sweet prize! Stay away from my numbers!!

Allright, I've been charting the bids for over a year now and if all that hard work is going to pay off now should be the time. I need this game at this "price".

    This is on my wishlist!
Ok... NO ONE PICK "1". This baby's mine. :P

Ah, one of the best games of all time!

[2] [6] Personally, I think the the BeNeLux board (an expansion) is the 'easy' setting. It has much lower connection costs and makes for a faster game.

Wowsers! This game is ultra awesome! Two player version is even fun! What a steal for the winner of this one.

[13] Thanks! First win on the bottom feeder...and it's a game that I probably won't ever play.

Sorry...just trying to see how many people I can tick off. I think I wanted to win this more than the PSP!! Absolutely cannot wait to play!!

  15. FilePlumseasidebruin on Fri Apr 04, 2008 09:45 PM

Yeah... that ticked me off Ducky! :)
    Congrats...

[14] Whew! I was about to scream!

This is one of my favorite games, and I'd love to have a 2nd copy for when I wear out the first! But since you don't have a copy (and you expect to play it!), you deserve it more anyway, so I'm happy. :-)

Yay! Congrats, Ducky! Awesome game, already have it, love it.

  18. FileGrapesSneezy96 on Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:33 AM

I was only off by 1! ARGH! I had 296 also...

    Congrats Ducky!
