Winning the Spiel des Jahres in 2006, Thurn and Taxis takes the theme of the German post office and transforms it into a fascinating game. Players take turns building connecting routes of postal stagecoaches across Germany. Decisions must be made whether to build short, safer routes that may allow them to control territories, or to build longer, more lucrative routes.
Fans of Ticket to Ride will enjoy the medium complexity of this game, as players may utilize one special ability each turn to help be the first to build routes in each area. Requiring planning and forethought, Thurn and Taxis is a rewarding experience for those who enjoy strategic games.
Power and Glory:
The postal carriages continue to roll. Now that players have learned to master the postal routes in the south, they naturally turn their eyes toward the north, looking for more routes to establish to add to their ever-growing postal networks. The new routes run between Holland and Sachsen—between PreuÃen and the free cities. The players build new postal stations in order to provide fast service for important letters to the many new customers in the north.
Hard-working postal carriers add horses to their carriages to enable them to travel farther and more safely, which will help the separated PreuÃen provinces to achieve power and glory.
This expansion offers new ways for players to enjoy Thurn and Taxis. The new board opens up new areas for postal routes. New bonus tiles and new city cards (with horses on their backs to support the new rules) are included to support the new board. Hopefully, players will enjoy these changes and the strategic opportunities they offer.
All Roads Lead to Rome:
In Audience, each player sends 5 clergyman to attend an audience with the Pope in Rome. The players endeavor to make certain the carriages with the clergyman arrive, but not too early! A player who arranges for his cardinal to arrive at just the right time will score more points than the player who manages the same with a simple priest.
In Offices of Honor, the players try to use the office holders as evenly as possible, in order to receive different office tiles. The more different tiles a player can return at one time, the greater benefits he receives.
Whether you play Audience or Offices of Honor or both together with Thurn and Taxis, they will take you and the game to a new dimension.

1700 entries already with 12 hours still to go. Good luck...better odds than the lottery, but barely.

I call Mine! And no-one else has! So it's just like calling "Shotgun," right?
[1] specifically said he "wants to win this one," and "If I can win just one," which isn't near the same as calling it.
Sorry [1], but I've got dibs.
