I would not mind winning this lil ol prize!!
If you win and don't want it just let me know and I'll take it off your hands. :-)
is it autographed? It won't have the proper collector's value if it isn't autographed.
well this thing should bring in a load of bids.
[2] AGREE!
Hmm, can I get it to work with Sprint? They're the only company left that has service near my house!
I have AT&T. Liked it lots till around the end of May this year. Something drastic happened and AT&T won't own up to what the problem is. Now my service is really, really bad.
Dang, nice. =)
I feel super lucky today.
iPhones are exclusively AT&T I think...just so you all know
You can always "jailbreak" it. Then you can put it on pretty much any carrier you want. People do it all the time. Just make sure you get unlimited data plan on your contract. I've heard horror stories about those who didn't.
To clarify, if you jailbreak it, you can only use it on GSM carriers such as T-Mobile. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA carriers, it will NOT work with them. Completely different technology.
Google Jailbreak iPhone 3G. It's a fairly easy process and you can then switch it over to T-Mobile if you want. But the issue is every time there is a new update, you need to wait to make sure the hackers post a new "break" for the update before you can update your phone.
So i've never won a bottom feeder and now i finally REALLY need to win this one :) My phone just bit the dirth yesterday so maybe it's a sign.
Although i need to re-evaluate what numbers i should throw in there (#1 b/c i never win and #2 b/c it's 72 hours...)
"Verizon are CDMA"
I'm pretty sure it depends on what phone you have. I think VZW has both CDMA and GSM
so what is the range of numbers to be picked? like how many digits can be piicked?
[14] To infinity and beyond;)
14. I am also new to this. I think however, that if your number is the lowest number that no one else picked (unique) then you win.
please please please please, please please please.
Iphone are exclusively provided through AT&T however you are able to "jailbreak" the phone and us it on any carrier.
And also when you jailbreak it I noticed a significantly longer lag when trying to open a program. Its also alot of working on getting everything set up the way you would want.
[16] You are correct, sir!!
Congrats CinMel! Nice prize!
That was a very short 72 hours!
[22] That's what I was trying to remember (I was wondering if I missed a coupla days here or something...).
I guessed 239 & 241 - how stupid can I be???? You should thank me, CinMel!!!
Congrats!
So confused...
Congrats CinMe!!!
So, I think I pulled a Rip Van Winkle and slept through the last 72 hours.... where did the time go??
I knew I was having fun solving puzzles, but that time really flew by....
Maybe another one isn't coming up until the 72 hrs is over?
Did not win it. crying.
Umm i feel cheated i didn't input numbers because it said 72 hours so i was going to wait until the 3rd day to input my numbers....
at least someone who has put in some serious hours on the site won! congrats cin!!
[24] ha, just noticed i'm one of the other 8 folks who did 241. crazy. wish i could switch places with cinmel!
[31] Same here. WTF?
[31][34] Me too!
Why would you wait until the 3rd day to put your numbers in?
[36] Probably a better idea of what to bid... Just like waiting till the last hour on a regular auction to see if 700 people (bid lower) or 5000 (bid MUCH higher) are involved.
I bid much higher because of the 72 hour thing (not that it helped at all). Not sure if this bottom-feeder will be called a "mistrial" or CinMel's gonna get the prize...
I should have gone in the 200 range... went way too high.
hmm, the three numbers I picked, 8 "others" picked each one of them .. what are the odds?
240 could have been worst like a single digit win. :)
So. WTH is the 72 hour thing about anyways!!?!
I bid 223 and one other sucker bid it along with me. If only that person had not bid. And then again if I had been late to the game that person could have gotten a cool prize instead. DANGIT
looks like we are going for 72 hours...

I'm confused.
Wow. Tanga Monkey must have a lot of iPhones... Hey! Waitaminnit!
so close ...
Here are your unlucky numbers:
119- 5 other people picked this number .
222- 6 other people picked this number .
235- 8 other people picked this number .
237- 15 other people picked this number .
318- 8 other people picked this number
well
401 got 4
402 got 4
403 got 3
I am about 1/2 off.
guess it pays to go low.
No response from Tanga on this saying it would run for 72 hours, then ran for 24?
I'm not one of those angry types, and I get that crap (and mistakes) happen, but it drives me crazy when a company doesn't even try to explain or CYA about a mistake.
People would like to know, especially ones that bid in nearly every bottom feeder, then intend to come back to see how many people had entered...
I'm surprised and disappointed that the Tanga folk didn't even bother to comment, explain, or apologize for this incredible screw-up.
[49] [50] I agree. After all, this IS a game, and many of us play it based on a strategy (good or bad strategy, but it's still a strategy) which in turn is based on the given rules of the game.
Many of us bid numbers assuming that 72 hours' worth of people would have played, providing 3 times (realistically, maybe 2 times) the normal pool of people. Not to mention a desirable Bottom Feeder prize would attract more players than, say, a trio of paintable piggy banks -- so maybe we're back up to 3 times the normal pool again.
Anyway, my point is that all this and more factors in to what numbers to pick, and when the rules changed, that invalidated any strategy and just turned this into a fairly random pick.
It's not sour grapes; I didn't expect to win, and I DO congratulate CinMel. I like that someone I "recognize" won. I'm just complaining about not running this as advertised, and then not explaining what happened, or saying "Oops; sorry about that."
I just feel badly for the tanganites that decided to wait to see how many bids were made just before the 72 hours were up. Many will use those numbers to decide what to input I think.
And yes!
Congrats CinMel
I know, I'm totally jazzed that CinMel won. Not user647yz with no puzzle solves.
