[9]got it, already thanks, but that #1 - there are too many possibilities that are all correct - bad clue...
{edit} I got the answer by a,b,c... the answer makes NO sense (unless its an obscure reference to the book). 13 is a better -and correct- answer.
[10] #1 and #2 aren't materially different than the others. For all 18 answers, what you see clued would fit more comfortably in a box 5 letters longer, but you'll notice something missing. (In fact, you can look at the title and there's something missing there too.)
2nd! w00t!!
Love the grid!
17th
Good thing I've got a lot of useless area between my ears. 14th.
would have been better with some crosses on some of the words since more than one thing can fit.
Boy, that #12 ??
and no cross...
I am not getting #1. Is it a term or am I just missing the obvious?
EDIT: Yeah it was the obvious - just not so much like the others
[7] There's more than one.
[6] Hopefully you know the title of the comic. You're looking for the publishing company.

[5] LOL. Yeah, you try and make those crosses :) Spam's been working on this one, on and off, for at least a year now!
[11] No way....just saying, though. :D
[10] #1 and #2 are a little different than the other clues. You need the leftover letter.

woot! first top 100 cus I'm actually home from work early!
That was...weird.
fun grid. a little wild and spacey, but all in all, good fun.
Having some trouble. I know I have them all, but it's not working.
And of course after typing this comment, it works.
This one had a lot of potential, and I love the grid, but too many of the clues just don't work well.
Fantastic puzzle. You have to give it just enough thought, yet it has great SOLVABILITY.
I preferred asteroids on the Atari 2600.
Anyone have any salt for #15?
Got it!
sweet puzzle. I love the grid, and surprisingly, I didn't have any trouble solving. Good job Spamwise!
[22] Tab, carriage return, and #13 are all examples.
[22] Also, if you look at the pseudo-code, there's a bit of a hint to the desired word as well. That might be your LAST resort. :)
Still stumped, everything is filled in and still not correct.
[26] You can tangagram me what you've got and I can direct you to the sticking point.
anybody got a salt for the #14 i thought it was boy but that does not fit....I have the first letter.
[28] If you google the title plus the theme word you should find what you need.
(Otherwise, I suppose you could ask Santa for a "little helper").
