Cute, until I got to #2...big long clue with only one crossing letter. And stuck.
Thank you [2]
I was trying to use the symbol in #2 the same way I used it in #4. Oopsie, that won't work.

[2] Even after solving it with a lucky guess, I don't understand the first picture!

[2] [3] It's a letter superimposed over a type of fastener being driven into wood by a cordless tool.

I think I'm good except for #1 and #2. Any additional hints would be appreciated, feel free to tg.
Edit: Got #2. Needed to think singular. Now just trying to figure out #1. And if it doesn't end in "P", then I have the dice one wrong....
Edit: Got #1. It's not so much of a "saying" as some of the others are as it is just a statement. It does end in "P".

[5] #1 does end in P. Look at what you are given in [4], and include which way it is being driven in.
Mea culpa.

I was stuck on 1 and 2 as well... thanks [1] and [4].
I still don't get the "theme". Seems like a bunch of random platitudes.

[7] I've always known them as "wordzles" - visual representations of phrases. I had a wonderful 2nd grade teacher who introduced us to these. #11 was the first word puzzle I conquered.
The title itself is another example of this type of puzzle. In fact, I think CinMel used it in one of her recent puzzles.

Yes #1 is a comment often heard when confessing an error. And now I have #2 and #4 stuck in my head, going back and forth between the two. Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!

[9] Mwahahaha...my evil plan has succeeded! In fact, #4 is how this whole thing got started. Gotta love that 80s classic station!

I either have 5 or 6 wrong - I have stuff that fits each individually, but the crossing letter doesn't agree....

#6 is such a baby clue.

[13] well, now I know I had #6 correct. Now to figure out what I am missing in #5 (I just the word crossing 5, but I may be farther from the answer than I think....)
edit: got it- I had another phrase which was also clued nicely by the picture, although once I figured the correct one, it was obviously a better choice.
