Normally I wouldn't go for straight-up image recognition, but doesn't this feel like just the right set? How can this not bring a smile to your face?

The maker of #7 gets bent out of shape (figuratively) when you spell it with that last letter. So of course I always do.
Thanks for the fun!

I had that same thought, markta. Probably compounded by the unnecessary S-ing of 5 and 12. But on the whole, I appreciate that I recognized all of these (and deplore how old it makes me feel).

I must have a spelling error or something wrong, it won't take my answers.
NM: found it.

[9], [12] - I too thought that when I filled in the answer for #7. "No, no! Collectively they are ____ elements!" I never added on the "elements," but I never added on the extra letter either. = )

Fastest crossword ever.
But for some reason I was putting an "o" for the first vowel in #16 instead of a "u" ...strange. 8-P

[27] That's entirely possible. Wood playthings named after the 16th president of the US.
Definitely one of the most straightfoward hypercrosses I've seen. Not much to complain about here! Cute. Nice diversion.

[32] Well, it's the only toy I know of to get close to the moon. Part of the first mission to see earthrise.
Makes the toy cooler than I am, I suppose.
