Nice puzzle, but you forgot Tanga :p

  2. AssetsPancakesCWarrior on Aug 25, 2008 07:07 PM

OK ... this is why we should start a "Hall of Fame" thread.

  3. AssetsGarlicheatherlouwho on Aug 25, 2008 07:09 PM

    ACK! #10 has me stumped.

  4. AssetsSailboatElGrande on Aug 25, 2008 07:09 PM

    Fun one!

  5. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 25, 2008 07:14 PM

I got them all except #1. Edit: post and solve. That was the smoothest hypercross I've done in a long time. Nice one, fenwic!

[3] (Editted for saltiness.) Ignore the physics.

  6. AssetsGarlicheatherlouwho on Aug 25, 2008 07:12 PM

[5] OMG! Thanks! I was definitely overthinking that one!

  7. AssetsEggplantlnrr on Aug 25, 2008 07:12 PM

    Didn't get it until #5.

  8. AssetsTomatobcgrote on Aug 25, 2008 07:13 PM

Stoopid #10! Had me stumped for 4 minutes! Sigh, I'll take 43rd....

  9. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:18 PM

    #1 has me. salt anyone?

  10. AssetsOnionzyrilia on Aug 25, 2008 07:27 PM

#1 and #10 both have me stumped... hopefully posting this will make the answer materialize.

Edit: OK, #10 came to me.
Edit: Thanks [13] and [16] - I got it! 66th for me tonight!

  11. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:20 PM

[10] the picture sort of looks like a letter
hoping for help with 1 myself

  12. AssetsTomatotlmitch7 on Aug 25, 2008 07:21 PM

    Any salt for 13?

  13. AssetsRocketsandj on Aug 25, 2008 07:22 PM

[10] if #1 has you stumped, maybe you should put your thoughts down and post them for all the world to see. It just may help.

  14. AssetsGarlick1w1 on Aug 25, 2008 07:22 PM

    Struggling with 14

  15. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:23 PM

[13] that did it for me! Thanks

  16. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 25, 2008 07:27 PM

[9] [10] [11] #1 So what do you think happened to the tree?

[12] #13 I think a book will help you, maybe an atlas.

[14] #14 The shape is important.

  17. AssetsEgggst on Aug 25, 2008 07:25 PM

#1 does not follow the theme; it's a general term for a category of user.

  18. AssetsTomatodduensing on Aug 25, 2008 07:38 PM

    Cant get #7....got everything else

    pumpuprussia?

[23] Thanks....your clue did it for me. An arrow pointing to the top of an unlit candle would have been a better picture.

The little girl doesn't seem to fit.....yeah...it's what she is doing, but I thought she was brushing her teeth....silly me.

  19. AssetsRocketsandj on Aug 25, 2008 07:27 PM

[17] actually it fits perfectly, it is number 12 on the most popular list.

  20. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:27 PM

[18] I have the physical version of this onmy bookshelf

  21. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 25, 2008 07:28 PM

    [14] Think of William Shatner

  22. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:29 PM

[21] he was in the Cryptopix tonight :)

  23. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 25, 2008 07:29 PM

    [18] That's not a pump! It's an oil lamp.

  24. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 25, 2008 07:30 PM

[18] The first picture in #7 reminded me of a recent crytopix:

  25. AssetsDuckiesteph_frolin on Aug 25, 2008 07:31 PM

[10] took me longer than it should have...I wonder if my video has uploaded yet.

  26. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 07:33 PM

old movies would have you believe that large warrior women come from #13

  27. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 25, 2008 07:34 PM

    [25] I think you meant #10 (not comment 10)

  28. AssetsClockJewelia on Aug 25, 2008 07:40 PM

    Good one!

  29. AssetsPeppercyncat on Aug 25, 2008 07:45 PM

    So many good clues!

Also, so many passwords to remember. I even had one for good old #1. :)

  30. Avatar_profileAppleRavis13 on Aug 25, 2008 07:58 PM

I'm stuck on #3 and #10. Still can't get 10 even after the salt in [5]

  31. AssetsPumpkinJohnQ118 on Aug 25, 2008 08:05 PM

    #4 and #8 ???
so easy for you so hard for me.
    nm: Post 'n-Solve. Thanks!

  32. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 08:04 PM

[30] #3 might be easier if there was only 1 E

  33. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 08:06 PM

[31] I use #8 to get me from here to where I need to be. I'd be lost without it

  34. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Aug 25, 2008 08:08 PM

#10 we used a lot of these in chemistry but they were never shaped like that

  35. AssetsSailboathokie98 on Aug 25, 2008 08:11 PM

LOL Squeaked in at 99... #10 had me stumped for the longest time.

  36. AssetsPepperChupper on Aug 25, 2008 08:13 PM

thanks [26] that was the only one I had trouble with.

    Damn, 101st!

  37. AssetsSailboathokie98 on Aug 25, 2008 08:14 PM

[30] perhaps if it were a video you might see it a little better

  38. AssetsPepperChupper on Aug 25, 2008 08:16 PM

[17] no, it's a commonly used site, named for the people who would use such a site. Owned by #2. (I prefer WordPress anyway)

  39. AssetsOnionmonocle on Aug 25, 2008 09:11 PM

    not seeing #12... I'm stuck :(

    Smacks forehead... got it.

  40. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 26, 2008 12:18 AM

[30] For those still stuck on #10, [11] has some good salt.

  41. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 26, 2008 12:22 AM

[29] Agreed! I really liked #4 and #5. The girl in #4 was too cute.

  42. AssetsCornPhilana on Aug 26, 2008 04:07 AM

I thought I had posted this earlier, but I must have forgotten to click the Post button. Better late than never...

    Well done!

  43. AssetsAppleqwertyca on Aug 26, 2008 11:12 AM

For #10, Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down...

  44. AssetsPumpkinrunart on Aug 26, 2008 02:51 PM

I agree with [2]. This belongs in a Hypercross Hall of Fame. What a great puzzle.

  45. AssetsPotatoDoomDahDoomDoom on Aug 26, 2008 06:21 PM

    #1 - BlumberJack.com doesn't seem to fit...

edit: nm - found it, though I've only vaguely heard of the site

  46. AssetsKiwiPhollower on Aug 26, 2008 06:55 PM

My favorite one was #10. Great puzzle.

  47. AssetsRocketfenwic on Aug 27, 2008 07:40 AM

My second hypercross! I was away yesterday, so I missed all the nice comments until now. Wow, glad so many people liked it so much. Makes me want to produce some more...

It's funny, #1, which many people suggested they knew the least is the one I probably have used the most.

  48. Avatar_profileKiwichonyjr on Aug 27, 2008 02:57 PM

Any salt on #1? All the previous salt isn't enough. I probably don't go on the internet enough to know it.

  49. AssetsSailboatjgf on Aug 27, 2008 03:39 PM

[47] I think it's because the nature of those types of sites to stay within your own community. I have a free account on livejournal, and so the only feeds I can get are those syndicated through LJ. Similarly when I was on xanga. [38] uses WordPress. I actually keep a game design journal on #1, but it's under their b---spot domain, which is why it didn't come to me.

    I hope that's enough salt. :)
