I found these, but mostly through blind searching for names that fit on cheese.com. Am I alone in thinking that different cheeses don't really look different enough from each other to make this a good puzzle?
[6] Perhaps I suffer from Image Recognition Disorder (IRD), because I have the same problem, whether the subject is obscure entertainers, video games, or cheeses!
I certainly think video screens are different even if I can't identify what they are. The cheeses to me are quite similar. I still have got a place to even start on the cheeses. Maybe if they all came from the same country?
Edit cheese.com and several friends got this for me
92nd, thanks to [16], otherwise, ughhhh; the one with the country as part of the name was WAY too difficult--The southern italy salt is where I started and then all fell into place...
Overall, I did "Pourly", as it took me a long time since I did not think it was a "Gouda" puzzle, but now I'm done, so I don't give "Edam"... (meant to be punny, not salty...cannot be held responsible for incidental salt)
This one I knew!
[1] Not me...
A little bit of salt, then ... you can read the name (or most of the name) of #1 on its side.
I'm from Wisconsin - and I'm still having problems with #6.
edit: [5] Thanks. I wasn't expecting the country name to be included in the type.
That's because it's from Northern Europe.

[6] No, you are not alone. ;-)
Personal knowledge certainly is a factor in how much work something's going to be. To me, video-game screen shots all look pretty much the same.
Perfectly Unfeaturable!
Now I'm hungry. Is it lunchtime yet?
I'm stuck on five

[8] and [9] Excellent points!
[11] It's a cheese from southern Italy, aged at least 4 months and is more flavorful than mozzarella.
[11] wikipedia says it's one of the most common cheeses used in cheesesteak sandwiches -- ahead of Cheez Whiz!
[14] Mmmmm cheesesteak...that's what I had for dinner last night, washed down by a Killian's Irish Red!
I got one or two, and then a crossword solver using the clue "cheese" and the few letters I had got the rest.

Hey, the "Flag this comment" is back! When did that happen?
I need some wine to go with my cheese... this was hard!
mmmmm.... [off to search in the fridge for cheddar sticks...]
love tineye!!
Pretty tough five points!
[21] didn't help me for even a one....

3 years after feature and I only missed the top 100 by 6 positions! *sigh*
