    Theme? Ahh, post and solve!

    LOL, I'm #16!

  2. AssetsCornPhilana on Jan 04, 2009 07:08 PM

Fun, but a pain to type!

  3. AssetsGarlicmartinp13 on Jan 04, 2009 07:09 PM

Any salt on the theme? I got all the way thru with no light bulb.

  4. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:12 PM

I think I've got them all but #5.

Well, post & solve for #5.

But, I know the theme, I think I know how the clues work, I just have to figure out the right way to type it all in.

  5. AssetsEggjohninc on Jan 04, 2009 07:10 PM

    Outlandish.

  6. AssetsCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Jan 04, 2009 07:11 PM

[3] How does the title relate to the common item in your answers? (I gather you did finish the puzzle from your question)

    [4] Get some Selson blue.

  7. AssetsEggjohninc on Jan 04, 2009 07:11 PM

    [4] You don't want #5.

  8. AssetsGarlicmartinp13 on Jan 04, 2009 07:12 PM

[6] You gather incorrectly. I have nothing. :) Well, I think I got the sandwich one.

  9. AssetsCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Jan 04, 2009 07:14 PM

[8] sorry, I misinterpreted "got all the way thru"

Try to list the answers you can think of for the clues (they won't fit the grid), and you should see something in common which will make them fit.

  10. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:15 PM

I think I've got what is common, I just don't know what to substitute to make it accept and fit the grid. It all fit, though, just not accepted.

    Nice job!

Note this doesn't work in Safari on the Mac. Needed to use Firefox.

  12. AssetsEggj15bell on Jan 04, 2009 07:17 PM

    wth is the theme??

  13. AssetsDuckiePix924 on Jan 04, 2009 07:18 PM

    I was non+sed

  14. AssetsEggj15bell on Jan 04, 2009 07:22 PM

I mean I know what is in common but don't know how to apply it to anything that sounds normal.

  15. AssetsGarlicmartinp13 on Jan 04, 2009 07:22 PM

[13] I would NEVER have gotten it without that. WAY too random. :(

  16. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:24 PM

    *sigh*

Got the right symbol first time, but with spelling error, tried different symbol, then fixed typing error, then back to first symbol & finally I got the bloody thing to take!

  17. AssetsEggj15bell on Jan 04, 2009 07:26 PM

you've got to be kidding me. okey dokey. tyvm!

  18. AssetsGarlicmartinp13 on Jan 04, 2009 07:27 PM

But good came of it... I learned how to correctly spell #15. :)

  19. AssetsTomatoRagspur on Jan 04, 2009 07:27 PM

Nice one. But I had it all done in Safari and spent a ton of time trying to figure out which one I had wrong, until I saw the post about it not working on safari. Had it in 5 minutes, 25 total after figuring out the safari issue and loading up firefox.

  20. AssetsDuckiespoofme on Jan 04, 2009 07:34 PM

any help with #8 and #17?

got them, I guess my error is elsewhere -I had never seen that before, just looks like jibberish on the paper

  21. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:29 PM

    [20] 8 - what's on the paper? 17 - what position?

  22. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:30 PM

    [18] I learnt how to correctly spell #11. ;)

  23. AssetsEggj15bell on Jan 04, 2009 07:33 PM

that's hard to do for a typist. when you type an average of 100wpm ya just have to stop yourself and take some time.

great puzzle. did you need to keep correcting yourself at first?

  24. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:38 PM

[23]: I type fairly quickly, but I also write code, so I didn't have nearly the self-correcting issue you seem to be mentioning.

  25. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Jan 04, 2009 07:38 PM

grid is filled, answers look right, spell checked a dozen times, still I want to slam my head against my monitor

  26. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:39 PM

[20] Yes, it does look like gibberish on paper. That's normal -- and it isn't standard gibberish, different people's versions will often be quite different.

  27. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:39 PM

[25] If you can TG me a couple answers, I might be able to clue you as to what you've got wrong. (Or, I might not.)

  28. AssetsEggj15bell on Jan 04, 2009 07:41 PM

[25] are you sure you have 11 and 15 spelled correctly?
haven't written the gibberish for years. do people still do that?

  29. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Jan 04, 2009 07:45 PM

    [27] will do
    [28] I'm pretty sure

  30. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Jan 04, 2009 07:47 PM

    [27] it has been done

  31. AssetsSailboatdagibbs on Jan 04, 2009 07:49 PM

[30] Reply sent -- I think it will solve your problem for you.

  32. AssetsPepperracheal0101 on Jan 04, 2009 07:53 PM

    [31] & I lived happily ever after

  33. AssetsPumpkinRickj4029 on Jan 04, 2009 11:33 PM

& I thought using numbers for letters was dumb...

    What was I thinking?

  34. AssetsPancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Jan 05, 2009 04:48 AM

[19] Sorry. That wasn't a problem we were aware of. Damn. Of course, that's Tanga's problem and not the puzzle's. I thought this one was very cool.

  35. AssetsSailboatyelowflower on Jan 05, 2009 05:48 PM

I have them all and I think I have the right symbol, but it is not taking it, any help out there? may I TG someone please?

NM I got it, used the wrong one

  36. AssetsAppleControlFreak on Jan 06, 2009 08:00 AM

    Nice!

  37. AssetsPumpkinJohnQ118 on Feb 09, 2009 08:13 PM
