Theme? Ahh, post and solve!

LOL, I'm #16!

Fun, but a pain to type!

Any salt on the theme? I got all the way thru with no light bulb.

I think I've got them all but #5.

Well, post & solve for #5.

But, I know the theme, I think I know how the clues work, I just have to figure out the right way to type it all in.

Try to list the answers you can think of for the clues (they won't fit the grid), and you should see something in common which will make them fit.

I think I've got what is common, I just don't know what to substitute to make it accept and fit the grid. It all fit, though, just not accepted.

I mean I know what is in common but don't know how to apply it to anything that sounds normal.

Got the right symbol first time, but with spelling error, tried different symbol, then fixed typing error, then back to first symbol & finally I got the bloody thing to take!

Nice one. But I had it all done in Safari and spent a ton of time trying to figure out which one I had wrong, until I saw the post about it not working on safari. Had it in 5 minutes, 25 total after figuring out the safari issue and loading up firefox.

any help with #8 and #17?

got them, I guess my error is elsewhere -I had never seen that before, just looks like jibberish on the paper

that's hard to do for a typist. when you type an average of 100wpm ya just have to stop yourself and take some time.

great puzzle. did you need to keep correcting yourself at first?

[23]: I type fairly quickly, but I also write code, so I didn't have nearly the self-correcting issue you seem to be mentioning.

grid is filled, answers look right, spell checked a dozen times, still I want to slam my head against my monitor

[20] Yes, it does look like gibberish on paper. That's normal -- and it isn't standard gibberish, different people's versions will often be quite different.

[25] If you can TG me a couple answers, I might be able to clue you as to what you've got wrong. (Or, I might not.)
