Check out my new STU status! Booyaka!
got all but the cat
That was pretty sweet.
[2] The clock was a little confusing, I thought. What does the object on the right do?
The cat is also slightly confusing. I can't think of any salt that wouldn't totally give it away.
I have all but the top across. Any salt for that? (Aha / Sweat Graph)
[2] What turns "the cat" into its status?
okay I have them all, but somewhere i am making a spelling/grammar mistake
Very cute.
[4] I am left wondering why you cannot salt it? Hmmm?
I know 101 Uses for that cat.
[4] I do know there is more than one way to skin one
what on earth is the food in the middle down one?
[10] Yeah, sorry. Shoulda made that one larger. It's an omelet.
ah, it probably would have been fine if I either ate omelettes or had heard of the answer - I did like the rest of the clues (=
I have all but the bottom across. Any salt
I think I have all of them, but the cat is still a mystery.
EDIT: Of course, as soon as I ask, I got it.
Any salt for the top across?
[14] I might have better phrased it by saying "dear God, what could do such a thing?" but that's not as funny to me.
just not seeing the bottom one. I guess i'll have to sleep on it
top across - think Edison
omelettes makes a lot more sense than taco... :)
A found a quote from Thomas Alva Edison that apparently isn't right and this message has been edited for salt.
very fun, truly not trash to me!!
[17] That's one man's solution. Another man might stay up a little longer and try to figure it out.
[20] Might want to recheck that quote
[20] You're quote's not right. Edit for salt, though, anyway please.
Very fun and clever. Thanks.
Got it. Dang internet for putting close but wrong quotes out there.
robrizob
Fun Puzzle!! Thanks
(and congrats on your new STU status!)
-- that poor cat - snooping around too much!
Robzirob, fantastic puzzle tonight! I think this is the first puzzle I've given 5 stars. You've inspired me to get back working on another Hypercross.
Had the most difficulty ignoring the "killing kittens" euphemism.
That was one of the better hypercross puzzles. Well done robrizob!
That was a good puzzle. Took me a while to figure out what some of these were referring to. The cat one is what made the theme click for me. Very nice! (except that omelet should have been larger. I too thought "Taco?")
Very fun one.
Poor cat nothing. The only good cat is a dead cat.
congrats, robrizob and welcome to the club!
Finally got them all! (With no salt, I might add!)
Bottom across was my last hole. Got stuck on Garbage in, garbage out. Nothing worked. Tried Green man/blue man, nothing there. Then it hit me right in the chest.
Thanks imapuzzl. That's the one that stumped me.
All I have left is the Aha!/Sweat one. Any salt there?
[38] See [18]
Is the bottom across Tanga Trash clue a common saying or a Tanga.com-specific saying/phrase? I'm totally stuck.
I think I have them all but am making a mistake somewhere. is the omelet one "_ _ _ _ _ ing e_ _ s"??? i can't get another phrase to work like "a few e_ _ _ s" have checked spelling on the others and think i'm ok there. thanks. By the way what a fun hypercross robrizob!!
popoopie, no it's a not Tanga specific - just think though of proverbs with that word in it.
[41] Yes, that's it.
Thanks [42] runart, I got it now, I was definitely too focused on Tangaisms.
That was fun!
Fun puzzle! I even learned something new: For one-down I always thought it should be the ">" symbol rather than the "=" symbol, but after Googling it I found out I was wrong!
I think I have the second one down (from the left), but it doesn't fit. I guess I don't have it correct.
[Edit] Oh, I was forgetting an indefinite article.
Wow... the cat one definitely threw me. Like [29], I couldn't get past the "Kill a Kitten" reference either. It is NOT kitten, definitely cat!
For those that don't know the kitten reference...
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kill+kittens
http://www.wayodd.com/dont-kill-kittens/v/4753/
thanks robrizob, i had the kitty wrong!!
ROFLMAO at the dead kitty! That was too funny and apparently unlike many, one I got right away.
The omelette one threw me for a bit. At first I thought it was a "real men don't eat quiche" kind of thing until I saw some salt that it was an omelette.
[47] That one was that last one I got too because although I said it three times out loud, I was focusing on the end
got 'em all real quick.
