[2] how's that? I can't figure out why the other version wouldn't have fit...I mean, I solved the puzzle, but I really can't tell why that fits a theme whereas the other one doesn't.
I'm with [9] and [11].
[12] I see that aspect of the theme, but that doesn't explain why the reversed version of Clue #11 doesn't fit the theme.
Edit: Oh, wait, now I get what you are saying - it's not that the clues don't include what they all have in common, it's that the answers aren't actually an example of what they all have in common.
[15] I thought exactly the same thing, so I went to dictionary.com and learned that it is a regional term for the metal stands that hold up the logs in a fireplace.
[16] Ah. Well, #11 inverse can be figurative (an organization, for example). Not that the puzzle's bad, but I've not heard of #11 as it is. :) As long as it all works, though...
[16] I'm surprised that dictionary.com claims #12 is a regional term. I have known the term since childhood, and I've never lived in any of the regions dictionary.com named.
Some salt specifically for #7 please.
Thanks[24] I think I know that term from directional drilling. However that means my down word is wrong but Hey! so is half of what I've got. 10 min later..... LOL Got it all. I was making it way too hard.
Isn't #11 backwards?
Be careful with #11!
EDIT: No, it's not backwards. As entered, it's a legitimate term. The opposite version wouldn't have fit the (subtle) theme.
No, it means a late night to early morning watch. Good catch, tho!
Watch out for typos, too! *sigh*
i don get it....
EDIT: nvm

[6] It's subtle. I sent you a TG.
[7] Ahhhh, I see. I didn't catch that. Nice.
I have to admit, whatever theme Philana has in mind, it's too subtle for me to see as well.
I finished the puzzle, walked away, and the theme hit me.
[9] Maybe it's lack of coffee, but I'm having the same problem...
[9][11] The theme is that none of the answers represent what all of the answers have in common.
I am Soooo lost.
Somebody send me a Tangagram with the theme and maybe I can figure out what I have wrong.
I'm with [9] and [11].

At the risk of sounding obtuse, if #11 is in the order it is in because the answers aren't examples of the commonality, then what's #12?
[15] I thought exactly the same thing, so I went to dictionary.com and learned that it is a regional term for the metal stands that hold up the logs in a fireplace.

I have no idea where to even start here.

#10 has me stuck...
[16] I'm surprised that dictionary.com claims #12 is a regional term. I have known the term since childhood, and I've never lived in any of the regions dictionary.com named.
[19] That phrase has a common abbreviation.
[21] Thank you, that finished the puzzle for me.
[21] thanks, I never knew it was spelled like that, helped me get along, (a) little ...
Some salt specifically for #7 please.

[24] Think of a bend on a golf course.
