I think #7 and #8 should each be plural- and the grid would still work if the "s" was added!

Interesting but problematic. The fact that #1 and #3 are verbs as opposed to nouns throws in an unnecessary wrench; #2, according to the Scotch website, really ought to be "transparent". But not bad.
