[28] Interesting. I started from the start of #16, and got a reference to an Andrew Lloyd Weber play (specifically one song in it), which gave the proper answer also :-)
Kudos to Jebe for making this puzzle.
If you've ever tired making a generic Hypercross, you know they are not easy; this is a masterpiece that took real effort to back up the genius idea.
Great puzzle. These kind of puzzles (requiring an extra step or insight) are sometimes difficult to understand without a nudge. I thought the final clue was brilliantly constructed and the method to find it, though veiled, was superb.
very clever. I missed the clue in #15...I wish I'd read that a bit more carefully and noted the connection to #16. I keep trying to start where I should have finished....
I enjoyed puzzle even more after I went back to the beginning and realized I wasn't just solving a puzzle I was actually entering a labyrinth. Loved it!
Oh wow, this puzzle is genius! You have to really think outside the box in order to figure out how to find the word for #16. And the way it corresponds to the story is really fun. The puzzle itself is a labyrinth. Way to go Jeb.
This was obviously a challenging puzzle to build (as alluded to by [41]), but very satisfying to make. I really liked how it all tied neatly in a nice little package in the end and I hope it provided many a-ha moments for all. I must say I was a little worried when there was only one solve (see [2]) in the first 15 minutes or so...
Well done! my AH-HA moment came only 7 hours after I started! If I had just followed the last clue and the salt given, I should have had this completed much faster :( But, definitely one of the most fun AH-HA moments I've had! Thanks Jeb! Great work!
I gotta admit it took the salt form #28 for me to get it, i just couldn't put it all together. this puzzle was above my abilty to think outside (or inside) the box
That was a great puzzle. Nice work jebediehard! I spent the whole puzzle wondering how some of these clues fit together. Had to get them all filled in (except 16) before it all clicked.
I've been stuck on this a couple of days. There's no way to get the answers, but if someone can help me further with #16 I'd be grateful. I see where #15 is pointing at, I feel like I keep getting *this close,* but I can't put it together.
Got all but #16
Pretty cool!
Got almost all of them but definitely haven't figured out the theme haha.
Edit: That took me forever, but oh my god that's the coolest "Ah ha" moment I've had in a hypercross.
any salt for #16?
I hate being so close ... and yet so far ... one to go.
Any salt for #1?
Ariadne's thread is a logic process that involves backtracking.
[6] Yes, it's not an exit....so therefore it's an ________
[6] It is EXACTLY what it says it is not.
Awesome!
any salt for #7? I have something that fits but I've no idea what it means... not sure if it is right
Niiiiice!
__________
"He was a wise man who invented beer." - Plato
[11] It could be a sign on a vacant lot or an old abandoned building (among other places)
Did I miss the #16 salt? I'm really missing something here!
[14] same here
The #16 salt is in [7]
#1 is NOT the exit.
But what is 16? "Ball of yarn" doesn't fit....
Ugh, tried a bunch of things, nothing is taking for 16
"This algorithm will terminate upon either finding a solution or marking all initial choices as failures; in the latter case, there is no solution."
Uh oh!
Go back to the entrance....
[17] "breadcrumbs" doesn't work either, but if you used some, you might find the answer on your way back out
[17] I tried a whole bunch of balls, but not of them fit ...
P.S. Very nice!
...and watch your step...
I'm not sure what dead ends has to do with this puzzle. Can we get some explanation?
Penny makes a hell of a noise when it drops. Bravo!
[25] avoid them to solve #16.
[20]Actually no, go to the minotaur on the left side of the puzzle and work your way to the right side
[28] Interesting. I started from the start of #16, and got a reference to an Andrew Lloyd Weber play (specifically one song in it), which gave the proper answer also :-)
So CLEVER!!! Love it!
Yikes, that was not obvious! Thanks for the salt in [28].
AHA! [28] did it for me, led me right to the answer
#16 is going to be the death of me if I can't solve it.
Reading the wiki article isn't helping very much.
Got it....start from the T in at the intersection on the left.
Very clever
[28] did it for me, thanks :)
yeah, what you all said, dang...duh
No idea where this puzzle is going. What exactly am I backtracking?
Wow. Getting #16 helped me correct #12.
That was awesome.
Followed the clues to get the answer. Interesting puzzle. I think we need more of these!
Kudos to Jebe for making this puzzle.

Ineresting. Not sure how I was supposed to get 16 without some nudges. It doesn't really stand out and the clues don't lead or relate to it.
[42] You're absolutely correct! There is little, if any, logic or intuitiveness here to get this without some help.
[25] You want to avoid the dead ends, and take the shortest path back.
[42][43] Actually, the clue for #15 gives you a lot of the information you need to figure it out.
Great puzzle. These kind of puzzles (requiring an extra step or insight) are sometimes difficult to understand without a nudge. I thought the final clue was brilliantly constructed and the method to find it, though veiled, was superb.
Loved this one.
WOW! Well Done!
Amazingly put together.
THAT was cool. Very nice puzzle.

I rarely comment on here, but that was one of the most amazing Hypercrosses I've ever seen. Bravo!
this was pretty cool. I needed some salt, but it all makes sense. Lots of clues. Even the dead ends themselves are comments to you! Nice job
Wow, awesome work!
[42] sounds like you need to look up the clues, it was very cleverly referenced.
AWESOME idea and implementation jebediehard! Thanks! This puzzle was my favorite hypercross ever, I can't believe it only got 3 stars for fun.
The solution was a little oversalted in the comments, hopefully people try to solve it before looking down.

Tremendous! That has to be the most I have had to think on any of the puzzles to date. Absolutely magnificent!
Wow... such great feedback. Thank you very much.

A+ hypercross
That was impressive. Thanks [33], kept starting at the wrong place. Great puzzle, best hypercross I've seen.
I agree with the comments. This was very well done. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
exactly what i hate about hypercross -- all but one #16
I feel like an idiot for not seeing it sooner! That was by far the coolest Hypercross I have finished on Tanga so far. Excellent job Jebediehard!
I thought that I would never get it! Thank you, thank you [29]!
[44] Yeah, clue #15 is what makes #16 fair, and is why this puzzle really works, IMO.
GREAT job, Jeb.
I gotta admit it took the salt form #28 for me to get it, i just couldn't put it all together. this puzzle was above my abilty to think outside (or inside) the box
It took me a pretty long time and took several hints, but wow jebediehard, that was great. Kudos to you for this great hypercross!
... can't ...get ... #16 ...
That was a great puzzle. Nice work jebediehard! I spent the whole puzzle wondering how some of these clues fit together. Had to get them all filled in (except 16) before it all clicked.

Brilliant!
