Took a while to get the "Aha!", but worth it!

  2. FileClockmust67 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:10 PM

No idea what #5 is if its not swim or crawl.

  3. DadPancakesjayvil on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:11 PM

No "Aha" here! Still trying to see it.

  4. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:13 PM

    [2] more generic than that

  5. FilePancakestempus42 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:16 PM

    [3] i'm with you, unfortunately

edit - ok, I think I just got the aha

  6. Rf_avatarTomatoRandiman on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:15 PM

[3] If you're confused today, you'll really be confused tomorrow....

  7. FileOnionRickj4029 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:18 PM

You were the 16th Tanga member to solve it.

Took awhile for me to get it as well.

  8. FileEggGamesX4 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:21 PM

salt on 7 please. Ok, got it, have to pay attention to those commas

  9. FileOnionRickj4029 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:19 PM

It's not so much how I got it as "when".

  10. 8grg3zbpu691mpv38q2nPancakesjebediehard on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:20 PM

Thanks [6]! That did it. Tricky, sammy!

  11. Rf_avatarTomatoRandiman on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:21 PM

[8] Look closely at the color of the letter

  12. FileOnionRickj4029 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:22 PM

    [8] "Get ready, get...."

This was the last one for me too.

  13. FileEggentropy on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:23 PM

    [6] AHA! Thx.

  14. FileRaspberrydsmeyer on Sun Jan 03, 2010 07:57 PM

What a terrible way to clue the key part to all these words. Someone trying to get this puzzle on a different day will never understand why it is what it is.

  15. SierraDuckiePix924 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:05 PM

I was so stuck on 4 for so long, maybe cause I don't use one of those very often

  16. Insanely_scary_clownRadishad1211 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:14 PM

[14] Thank you so much because I would never have made that leap considering it is tomorrow for me!!

  17. Avatar_profileAppledanceaddict on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:25 PM

any salt for #4, got the aha but still don't get this one

  18. Avatar_profileOrangekashmirton on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:33 PM

I don't know what show that is :-P The rainbow show?

  19. Avatar_profileApplephosrik on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:47 PM

I agree completely with [14]. Anyone trying to solve this on a different day is hosed.

  20. Avatar_profileApplephosrik on Sun Jan 03, 2010 09:11 PM

    still can't get 7

Edit, guessed it but can't figure out how the heck you get the answer out of that.

  21. Avatar_profileApplephosrik on Sun Jan 03, 2010 08:57 PM

    [17] tangagram sent

  22. FileApplekirklimon on Sun Jan 03, 2010 09:13 PM

no aha here... got a bunch of the corresponding words, but always a letter short (and a day late?) What's all this about tomorrow?

  23. Panda-flyGarlicpandapal on Sun Jan 03, 2010 09:14 PM

Finally got the theme from [14]'s comments. Was struggling until then. And the final clue stumped me for a bit, too! Pretty fun overall, though!

  24. FileApplekirklimon on Sun Jan 03, 2010 09:57 PM

ack. thx [23] and [14] and others to realize why i was always a letter short finally. with all the words in hand, it's hard to believe i didn't make the aha earlier.

  25. MeKiwipadlocksan on Mon Jan 04, 2010 12:29 AM

I was AMAZED. I read through all the clues without getting a single one right. No 'AHA' at all. That has Never happened before.
Then I read [14]'s salt and compliant. Now I see it. I wouldn't have without it it, I am sure. Thanks, dsmeyer.

  26. Dscf1890Bananaigmkor66 on Mon Jan 04, 2010 01:56 AM

[6] i AM in tomorrow and was thoroughly confused until...

[14] thank you! i was on the right track but as with [24] i was a letter short and nothing made sense!!

it's tough being on the other side of the planet!!

  27. Dark_visor_downPlumtoolrocket on Mon Jan 04, 2010 02:41 AM

Monday in Germany... thanks Shakers, for the salt.

  28. FileGarlicChupper on Mon Jan 04, 2010 06:42 AM

OOOH, #4 is not a remote control!

  29. FileGarlicChupper on Mon Jan 04, 2010 06:44 AM

Note for everyone doing this puzzle after day 1: This puzzle was published on a Sunday.

Salty, yes, but if you've read this far into the comments without getting that aspect of the puzzle then you need that much salt!

  30. Avatar_profileStrawberryluckynutmeg on Mon Jan 04, 2010 07:36 AM

So long and thanks for all the salt!

  31. Avatar_profileWatermelonknisely16atc on Mon Jan 04, 2010 07:53 AM

I am still lost with #5 no idea what it would be if not swimming or crawling.

Edit: got it now...feel like an idiot.

  32. Avatar_profileGrapesnycguy on Mon Jan 04, 2010 08:49 AM

    any salt on 9?

what the heck is that thing that is stacked

    --never mind. got it finally

  33. Avatar_profileRocketnickiann45 on Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:12 AM

I was on the cusp of getting the aha from [6] and [14] salt but just couldn't grasp it until I read [27]. Thanks everyone!

  34. FilePepperdajagr on Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:41 AM

[14] Thank you. I suppose it didn't occur to anyone that hypercrosses stay up for two days. :P

  35. KittylolxRocketjohanna on Wed Jan 06, 2010 01:09 PM

I finally got the Aha and am sure of all but #5. Salt on #5 please?
But I don't see what everyone is whining about as far as the Aha! After all, the day of the week and the date is published at the top of the puzzle. If you looked at one published Dec 25th a month later, it still ought to occur to you that it might have a Christmas theme.
Got it. Thanks for additional salt. The words on #5 actually threw me off. Got hung up thinking it had to be an "ing" word. I guess the "crawl" should have clued me in.

  36. UntitledPepperarecords on Mon Jan 04, 2010 05:02 PM

    [35] It's also a bad heart condition

  37. FileDuckiespoofme on Mon Jan 04, 2010 08:37 PM

NOTE TO LATECOMERS: This puzzle was originally published SUNday, January 3 2010.

  38. Gto1Grapessobeman311 on Mon Jan 04, 2010 09:16 PM

spoof, less EMPHASIS on specific LETTERS would make thing MORE enjoyable for those who ENJOY figuring them out. number 4 took me two days to figure out, but i'm much more pleased that it's solved because of it :-)

  39. Avatar_profileRocketnickiann45 on Tue Jan 05, 2010 08:07 AM

[35] See what the person is doing in the picture? Think of the different types of movement related to that activity and what word they have in common.

  40. FileOnionimapuzzl on Tue Jan 05, 2010 12:40 PM

Tuesroof just doesn't make any sense. Nor does it fit.

  41. Avatar_profileGrapespikapp383 on Tue Jan 05, 2010 02:50 PM

[29] Thanks, would still be banging my head without that information.

  42. Elliott_cofa-sCarrotknightelliott on Fri Jan 15, 2010 10:18 AM

Took me way to long to get to my AHA moment, but once I did it was nice and easy.
