My first attempt and any puzzle submission. It would be great to have this published while the Saints are still undefeated.

  2. FilePancakesCWarrior on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:06 PM

No clue at all on #10

  3. Rf_avatarTomatoRandiman on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:07 PM

[1] Nice job, especially for a first attempt - hope we see more from you!

  4. FilePancakesCWarrior on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:08 PM

Got #10 ...Beware #6 (ambiguous). It would been easier if it were a DOWN clue.

  5. DadPancakesjayvil on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:09 PM

[1] Well they aren't undefeated, but they're still alive in the playoffs!

  6. 8grg3zbpu691mpv38q2nPancakesjebediehard on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:09 PM

Good stuff ! Very nice grid, I must say.

  7. 250px-lobster_nsrwRocketmeshneiarin on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:18 PM

    Clever idea. Thanks!

  8. FileEggjohninc on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:19 PM

[4] Thanks. I think that flying creature is from the windy city.

  9. FileDuckietwofalls on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:22 PM

I enjoyed this one. Thanks a lot!

  10. FileAppleDBMechanic on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:23 PM

Fun. Only had to Google twice, and one of them I should have known!

  11. FileOnionRickj4029 on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:26 PM

Got them all & double checked but it won't work

  12. FileApplenkpham on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:26 PM

i got them except #14. any salt?

for number ten, if you like 311, it's the "color of her energy.."

  13. FileOnionRickj4029 on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:27 PM

...and I was finished 15 minutes ago, damn!

  14. FileOnionRickj4029 on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:30 PM

You're really old when an "m" looks like an "n"!

  15. Ted_doggPancakesdmlafrance on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:37 PM

    [12] think first

  16. MashiconCarrotyfking on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:40 PM

[11] Me too - I have everything and it fits but it won't take

  17. FilePepperhairy_lime on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:44 PM

    Impressive grid!

  18. FileApplenkpham on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:47 PM

[15] is the statue a specific person? i've been trying to find a synonym...

EDIT: Nevermind... I figured it out. I'm stupid... I got the right person, but I kept using the last name and it made no sense.

  19. BlowieAppleloungehead on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:48 PM

oh, what a puzzle to do while possessing a deuteranomaly...

  20. 1169685695_scudworth2AppleScalfaro on Fri Jan 15, 2010 07:50 PM

The color on #14 held me up for the longest time. I kept trying to figure out if the gentleman in question was some kind of 'cobbler'. -_-

Then I adjusted my monitor. Silly laptops.

  21. Panda-flyGarlicpandapal on Fri Jan 15, 2010 08:20 PM

Great puzzle!! But the last one is wrong!!!

    GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Fri Jan 15, 2010 09:05 PM

[18] - Thanks for that comment. I made the exact same mistake and was breaking my head over it. What are the chances that they both have the same number of letters.

  23. Avatar_profileGrapesshrmsgirl on Fri Jan 15, 2010 09:56 PM

[14] Have a hot dog and try again.

  24. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Sat Jan 16, 2010 06:57 AM

[18] they went out of business here - haven't seen one for YEARS. (no DQ close-by either)

  25. Big_ears_1Plumjacobjw2 on Sat Jan 16, 2010 10:01 AM

same boat as others: got all the answers, says its wrong, dont know what to do.

  26. Poster-jornadas-20082AppleBayes on Sat Jan 16, 2010 04:28 PM

Anyone have any help for #22? I've never seen Barney Miller..

  27. Avatar_profilePearsdibo10 on Sat Jan 16, 2010 07:55 PM

[26] I second that - last one, and no clue.

EDIT got it finally with a wiki

  28. Surf_board_wallpaper_legg_800Peachkayhouse on Sun Jan 17, 2010 02:41 AM

Wow im dumb... #11 held me up for hours, couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. I just assumed it was in the same order as the rest lol

  29. Avatar_profileAppledemingk on Sun Jan 17, 2010 06:16 AM

    #11 is throwing me too

  30. Sexy_lips2AceCiabelle on Sun Jan 17, 2010 07:32 AM

[24] Was just the salt I needed for #14, which was the only one that initially eluded me.

Even then, never heard of 3, 13, or 24 (except when used without the conjunction) At least they were easy to guess.

  31. MeKiwipadlocksan on Sun Jan 17, 2010 07:41 PM

I finally got #10. But is it a regional thing? At most, it is a USA thing.

  32. Avatar_profileAppleastew90 on Thu Jan 21, 2010 02:47 PM

Phew took me a lot longer than it should. I didn't realize the second part of #6 needed to be specific.

  33. Avatar_profileGrapesMickey1821 on Thu Jan 28, 2010 04:43 AM

ah the pain, black & gold is my steelers colors too....

  34. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Tue Jan 11, 2011 05:09 PM

I came back a year later just to say: AMAZING grid. Really impressive.
