I liked the concept but thought it was way too easy because of so many crossings at first or last letter. However if there is an overall theme to the final words, it escapes me.
I got them all, because the chains give me enough letters in each clue. But I don't know WHY # 5 or # 9 have the solutions that they do. (admittedly , I don't know who the people in # 5 are)
#5 is because the others were Idol winners and the one came in 5th or so...
I don't know why #9 is, ir's not which are the beginning of a quarter (that works but not with that answer), not which are not odd numbered months (there are two)...maybe it's the one without a holiday?... just know it fits
[edit] ah, thanks [23], guess that was pretty obvious after all
Despite not watching TV, I recognized where #5 was going but knew it'd take a lot of googling. Lucky me, googling the show name plus the first picture I chose gave me a last name that fit. I was surprised because I thought she had been on the show and expected the answer to be someone who wasn't on it, not someone who just didn't win. I like the idea to this puzzle and had a lot of fun even if it was a bit easy.
Fun one!
Nice new concept for a hyper!
#5 was tough, as I'm not a fan of the connection.
Love the last clue! It may not be easy being it, but that's about the only thing those pictures have in common! :)
[3] Yeah, UGH to specific pop-cultural knowledge in #5!
pop culture gives me troubles but this one picture wont load all the way so i cant even get all the clues!! argh!!!
well, i took a guess based on the other letters and got it! but ended up coming in 107th... oh well.
Go, Bill Cosby ... Sing it!
Got easier as I filled in the grid ...
[3]it's just kids who want a chance to sing.
Thanks [9] I got it on a guess, but now I get it :)
I got it but I don't know how or why I got it.
Some I figured out and some I used the only option that matched the cross letters but still don't quite get.
Oh well. I like the idea.
anyone know what the ornate mug is called in clue #8?
Never mind. Got it. I'm not a beer drinker so that was a tough one.

Now I've got Sesame Street stuck in my head. :)
Count me in the anti-#5 bandwagon. Just google all the names together and you should find the answer that fits the letters in the grid.
That was fun. 11 took me a while.
Lost on #11. I know which picture the answer is but I don't know what it is called. Any salt?
[19] used for holding beer, especially in German brewhouses...also a Ben who was a teacher in ""Bueller.... Bueller...."

[12] My thoughts exactly. :)
