I've tried a trillion answers, but I'm getting "sorry that's not correct" for all of them :(

    edit:
Ah, my engineering background tripped me up!
    kilobyte, megabyte.....

  2. AssetsPearckpete2887 on Sep 09, 2007 07:15 PM

I've got all but 3.... Can't get the cartoon-y guys with the barrels in the background, the black hanging thing (looks like cast iron), or the fossil b/c I can't remember it's name.

    Edit: got the fossil.

Edit 2: Thanks [6] that got the iron looking thing for me. Got the cartoon-y guys too by simply going through the alphabet until I stumbled on the right word.

That pendant is messing me up...

  4. Avatar_profilePeachrbuehrle on Sep 09, 2007 07:12 PM

I'm with you on the iron thing [2]. What is it?

  5. AssetsEggIrrenarzt on Sep 09, 2007 07:13 PM

I knew all of them, though the three guys screwed me up for a minute. Averted pulling my hair out when I realized I misspelled the fossil.

  6. AssetsGrapesChadel on Sep 09, 2007 07:13 PM

    3 Think hot things.

  7. Avatar_profileStrawberryDarkholmme on Sep 09, 2007 07:17 PM

Thanks [6] that actually helped a lot!

  8. AssetsPepperdajagr on Sep 09, 2007 07:18 PM

The term for the iron thing was not one I was familiar with for a long time. It seems to be somewhat of a regional term, or something. I asked three of my pet doctors, and only one knew what it was.

  9. AssetsGarlick1w1 on Sep 09, 2007 07:18 PM

Hmm, 2 spellings for the fossil.

  10. Avatar_profilePearaneese on Sep 09, 2007 07:27 PM

does any one have a good link for the fossil

  11. Avatar_profileStrawberryGaryL on Sep 09, 2007 07:29 PM

Cool, I got it all fairly easy. I knew kinda what the fossil was called, and got it close enough so when I googled it, it prompted me with the correct spelling.

I had no clue about the stick figures, until i realized the most important thing about them is just that there's three of them.

  12. Avatar_profilePearaneese on Sep 09, 2007 07:33 PM

    [10] I found one mdbourrie@gmail.com

you have to look for awhile

  13. AssetsPumpkinJohn on Sep 09, 2007 07:37 PM

I think the stick men are one short of a barbershop quartet.

  14. AssetsCarrotrobrizob on Sep 09, 2007 07:38 PM

I don't know the hockey one. I thought for sure it was "hat trick" before I figured out the theme.

  15. AssetsGrapesgahndalph on Sep 09, 2007 07:38 PM

got it on the first tri, though I did have to check spelling on the fossil

  16. Avatar_profilePearaneese on Sep 09, 2007 07:38 PM

    [8] well said

  17. Avatar_profilePearaneese on Sep 09, 2007 07:42 PM

my spelling must be off what is the other spelling for fossil

  18. AssetsGrapesdantan98 on Sep 09, 2007 07:43 PM

This one should have been worth 3... =-P

  19. AssetsPotatoDandelion_Wine on Sep 09, 2007 07:49 PM

[14] What is he doing to that other player?

    [17] It's a particular fossil - an arthropod fossil

For me, this one was as easy as they come. Nice change -- I've been struggling with IDing pictures in the hypercrosses the past few days.

  22. Avatar_profilePearaneese on Sep 09, 2007 08:50 PM

I have them all filled in and spelled right and it is not going

  23. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Sep 09, 2007 09:02 PM

fun...and not too hard. Thanks to the person who said what type of fossil it was...that and google was enough to get the right word.

  24. AssetsBananatheChony on Sep 09, 2007 09:26 PM

I'd like to thank Animal Crossing's museum for the knowledge of fossils.
By the way, this salt is kind of bland.

    Loved the puzzle.

  25. AssetsWatermelonjdno on Sep 09, 2007 10:39 PM

I got it, it sure took a tough stomach to be able to figure out that deli tray.

    It kept tripping me up.

  26. AssetsApplebagherra on Sep 10, 2007 05:07 AM

    better than yesterday.
had a hard time spelling the fossil, though

  27. AssetsBananajppe5 on Sep 10, 2007 08:46 AM

I never heard of the metal thing either.

  28. Avatar_profileRadishrmcelroy on Sep 10, 2007 10:26 AM

On the three figures with the barrels, based on the length of the word, I was looking for a certain silly rabbit... (or am I being too US-centric?)

  29. AssetsTomatoMurdoctor on Sep 10, 2007 01:56 PM

[28] It's much more generic. There are three figures there... which makes them a ____?

  30. AssetsPancakesthreehojos on Sep 11, 2007 01:15 PM

Thanks to all who enjoyed my puzzle! I plan to submit more in this particular genre, so look for me in the near future!
