Is anyone else having trouble getting these? I've compared them all to a wiki list and it keeps being wrong...

    [2] Me too.

edit: Ah. I had the last part of #7 wrong.

[2] [3] There is a comprehensive list, but it is cumbersome to wade through. However, just do the clues as they are set forth and you should be able to get them. Don't worry about matching them to the last name is what I'm saying. The clues are good on their own. The last name just lets you verify.

[2] If you want to TG me what you have, I'll look it over.

I will be happy to respond to TG's, too.

Having trouble with 13 (and maybe 12). TG, please?

I had done as [4] suggests. #7 was the only one I had to google and once I got it, I wasn't sure anymore why I had trouble. They were beautifully clued, KennyBruin.

Please, please, PLEASE keep the American pastime hypers coming. Love em!

I know nothing about baseball, but with google I seem to have everything right. It says it's incorrect though.

Nevermind, got it. Had #13 wrong.

Great Americana! I can see this as a July 4th puzzle.

A couple of funky clues, but good crossings make it work fine.

[11] I scheduled it on purpose, actually, to coincide with the All-Star Game.

  13. Avatar_profileLemonjbutterfly77 on Jul 13, 2010 07:16 PM

that was fun and I am clueless about baseball!

  14. AssetsSailboatChrika on Jul 13, 2010 07:41 PM

Don't know baseball and still got 'em all with no help from Google. Yay me!

This puzzle was so beautifully clued that although I'd only heard of one of the people (and didn't know this particular nickname for him) I got them all right without once turning to the net.

Well done and thanks for the new things to learn today.

for some reason "sayheywillie" doesn't fit.

  17. Avatar_profileLemonekks7410 on Jul 14, 2010 09:35 AM

    oops....got it, duh

  18. AssetsGrapeskaleidoscopeeyes8 on Jul 14, 2010 09:39 AM

It keeps saying I am not correct, though I have triple checked all of my answers, to make sure they are actual ones.

  19. AssetsGrapeskaleidoscopeeyes8 on Jul 14, 2010 10:57 AM

    [16] is rather salty.

    [19] Edited.

    too easy

  22. Avatar_profileOrangesk8dork on Jul 14, 2010 03:19 PM

somehow i got all of these correct on the first try except for 4, because i took the clue too literally, and i didn't know these were nicknames. looking back i recognize the last names, but not the nicks
