    Great idea!

  2. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jun 10, 2010 07:04 PM

3rd here and the crypto! Yeah! And I only had to google two of the Britsh ones!

  3. AssetsRaspberryRocketeer on Jun 10, 2010 07:06 PM

Luckily I've a little of both in me. ;-)
    ...
Now what's this supposed to mean?
"You got it! But we're not going to save your answer."

  4. AssetsGarlick1w1 on Jun 10, 2010 07:06 PM

Probably easier for us foreigners who need to be familiar with both.
Thanks Philana, flew through that one.

  5. AssetsRadishDocJ on Jun 10, 2010 07:07 PM

    Can I call myself bilingual?

  6. AssetsRaspberryjebediehard on Jun 10, 2010 07:08 PM

Didn't know #8, needed reminding on #13 and figured out #12 from the crossings!...

  7. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jun 10, 2010 07:08 PM

[3] That's leftover wording from when the hyper answers weren't saved after you solved them.

WOO HOO YIPPEEIAY You solved this puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 42nd Tanga member to solve it. YOWSER! I loved this one, Philana - thanx! I only had to google the game. I am a bit of an Anglophile but my brain is sometimes on pause by this time after watching Thomas the Tank Engine, SpongeBob SquarePants and Toy Stories 1 & 2 all day w/RJ! The Mr. & I got in from our nightly bike ride just in time for tangatime. :)

  10. AssetsRadishcapkincaid on Jun 10, 2010 07:13 PM

Hmmm, must have a misspelling somewhere.

  11. AssetsXylophonehouck on Jun 10, 2010 07:20 PM

  12. AssetsTomatoHoddy on Jun 10, 2010 07:45 PM

  13. AssetsGarlicmartinp13 on Jun 10, 2010 08:12 PM

Wow, nice... I can't believe I didn't have to look any of those up... must have heard them at one time or another. The baby item was the only one I needed to "skip til the end". :)

    Great puzzle

I submitted a very similar one a week ago so I'm thinking it will need some modifying as many of the words are the same as yours.

I'll have to put my thinking cap on.

  16. AssetsPotatoDadmeister on Jun 11, 2010 03:19 AM

    Very clever puzzle.

  17. AssetsSailboatOlieno on Jun 11, 2010 04:25 AM

I solved it in 0 seconds ? Wow ! Am I surpised ! If I go a little faster, maybe time can go backwards.

  18. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jun 11, 2010 06:07 AM

[3][12] That also happens if you've already solved it. "But the answers are already there if you've solved it!" you say?

Once, I was solving on the laptop while my husband solved on the desktop. He finished the hyper before me. When I finished the hyper, I got that message. I was stumped! What I had failed to notice was that my husband was actually the last person to log-in to tanga from the laptop so I was using his log-in! Since I accessed the hyper before he solved it, I found myself in a weird twilight zone situation. "He" did very well on the crypto and OWW that night (thanks to me) and by the time I figured it out, logged out & in, and input all the answers again, I was out of the top 100 on all of them! :)

You missed a good opportunity to work in a soccer - excuse me, football - reference.

  20. AssetsPlumPirogoeth on Jun 11, 2010 06:52 AM

That was awesome! I knew everything but the last one. Not bad for an American! :)

  21. AssetsKiwiKevinStallings on Jun 11, 2010 08:21 AM

Good one, got all except 14, had to look that one up..

  22. AssetsGrapesmconolly on Jun 11, 2010 01:29 PM

    Cheerio!

  23. AssetsApplewolper on Jun 11, 2010 02:17 PM

I thought you might use Noughts & Crosses--one of my favorites.

  24. AssetsPotatojbsegal on Jun 11, 2010 08:04 PM

    Biffing good fun!

  25. Avatar_profilePlumpprattsj on Jun 11, 2010 08:40 PM

Not so separated. I got the all in the first go.
Another of my favorites that didn't make the puzzle is 'knock-shop' ; but then this is a family website.

  26. AssetsBananatirerim on Jun 11, 2010 09:39 PM

Nice. I always knew my knowledge of British English would come in useful for something (besides visiting Britain...).

  27. AssetsPumpkinJohnQ118 on Jun 12, 2010 05:03 AM

    [20] I never 'eard of #14.

  28. AssetsRocketfenwic on Jun 18, 2010 12:39 PM
