My children wanted to make a puzzle for Tanga. This is the fruit of their effort. All I did was construct the grid, request a few specific pics for crossings, and reject a few unworkable ideas (like "a dinosaur in a T-shirt" or "monsters attacking the whole world").

  2. AssetsTomatobcgrote on Jul 06, 2010 07:03 PM

Beautiful! Great art, better than I can do!

  3. AssetsTomatoRandiman on Jul 06, 2010 07:04 PM

That was great! (Kinda hard if you get stuck on one, but the crossing words were enough to nudge me back on track - well worth the pause for the art!).

  4. AssetsRaspberryjayvil on Jul 06, 2010 07:05 PM

That's just AWESOME! Unfair advantage to those of us with young kids that basically do this puzzle every day, but genius puzzle sonjahi!

[14][15] Yes, there's a smiley on it and everything! ;)

  24. AssetsRaspberrydsmeyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:11 PM

  25. AssetsPumpkinRickj4029 on Jul 06, 2010 07:11 PM

Guess you have to have young kids to get this.

    I was cruising along until #6 & #8.

  26. AssetsPotatoantiawb on Jul 06, 2010 07:11 PM

I filled out everything and everything fits perfectly. I don't know why it's telling me I'm wrong.

  27. AssetsApplebengrier on Jul 06, 2010 07:12 PM

    [11] haha, got it. thanks.

  28. AssetsDuckieescKey on Jul 06, 2010 07:12 PM

  30. AssetsPeppersuzique on Jul 06, 2010 07:13 PM

Thought I had them all correct, but answers not taking. Drat!

  31. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 06, 2010 07:13 PM

[26] You can TG me your answers if you want.

  32. AssetsBananaPinkBeatles on Jul 06, 2010 07:13 PM

  33. AssetsPepperclarencebyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:15 PM

    salt for #8?

  34. AssetsRaspberrydsmeyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:16 PM

    [32] stuck on those too.

    Boo to the puzzle.

  35. AssetsRaspberrydsmeyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:17 PM

[33] the blue is jeans, the pink is sticking out the bottom.

  36. Avatar_profileBananagljonesaz on Jul 06, 2010 07:19 PM

Could someone please check my answers? Everything fits, but I obviously made a mistake.

(edit) Never mind. My first post & solve!

  37. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 06, 2010 07:19 PM

[32][34] Where are those people from? What do you call people from that place? A crossword solver would give it to you too.

And for #14, that's a bell on top of the building. Does that help?

    [36] Send them to me.

  38. AssetsPepperclarencebyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:19 PM

thanks [35] makes perfect sense now!
the building in #14 is not a house or a home

  39. Avatar_profileEggplantdsgirl on Jul 06, 2010 07:19 PM

    Adorable!

  40. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 06, 2010 07:19 PM

    [33] Those are not fingers.

  41. Avatar_profileBananagljonesaz on Jul 06, 2010 07:20 PM

    Great puzzle!

  42. AssetsRaspberrydsmeyer on Jul 06, 2010 07:21 PM

    [32]
#12 is a building of education
#14 are people that live in Italy's Capital

  43. AssetsPumpkinRickj4029 on Jul 06, 2010 07:22 PM

I'm sure it was fun for all the moms out there but not for me.

  44. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 06, 2010 07:22 PM

And if you think you have them all and it won't take, reconsider #3... That one is at an unusual perspective for the item drawn.

  45. AssetsRaspberryjebediehard on Jul 06, 2010 07:23 PM

    [43] ... and the dads!

  46. AssetsRadishjeanerz13 on Jul 06, 2010 07:23 PM

    113th...i was stuck on #6 forever :(

  47. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 06, 2010 07:27 PM

[44] Ahhh, I got it from the crossings, but didn't see it until you said that.

  48. AssetsPotatoantiawb on Jul 06, 2010 07:26 PM

A very fun puzzle. A well deserved pat on the back to the talented artists.

  49. Avatar_profileCarrotnewsgroupie on Jul 06, 2010 07:28 PM

That's beautiful, honey(s)! Thanks for sharing your artwork!

  50. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 06, 2010 07:31 PM

For those of you that liked this, here's the puzzle that triggered the idea. You'd probably like it too. If you didn't like this, then you should probably avoid this one... :)

  51. AssetsPancakesLakeLivin on Jul 06, 2010 07:33 PM

    Cute, nice change of pace!

  52. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 06, 2010 07:33 PM

    [50] I remember that puzzle!

  53. Avatar_profileBananarxgary on Jul 06, 2010 07:35 PM

    3, 15, 19???

  54. AssetsCarrotbamar on Jul 06, 2010 07:39 PM

Got everything except 10, the dinosaur thingy. My youngest is 10 now so I'm not used to looking at very young drawings on the fridge anymore. Bet I would have got it 4 or 5 years ago :)

  55. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 06, 2010 07:39 PM

[53] #3 is looking down on the object from the top. But the usual perspective is from the side. Use the crossings to help

#15 It goes on the right

#19 His friends might be looking for him, honey.

  56. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 06, 2010 07:40 PM

[53] Look in your kitchen drawer for 15. Ask Christopher Robin about 19.

  57. AssetsCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 06, 2010 07:40 PM

[54] As it was salted before....that's fire shooting out!

  58. AssetsBananaTrimster on Jul 06, 2010 07:55 PM

Nice. My two little artists are much better now, but I'm close enough to recognize these. :-)

  59. Avatar_profilePlumpprattsj on Jul 06, 2010 08:01 PM

some of these look like real kid drawings. But some of these look like adult-trying-to-do-kid drawings.

  60. AssetsKiwi62mackinnon on Jul 06, 2010 08:28 PM

[44] thanks a bunch, I was thinking it was something edible until you said that.

  61. AssetsRaspberrydmlafrance on Jul 06, 2010 09:31 PM

[50] I thought of that one as soon as I started this one. I liked it as well.

And, tell your kids their artwork was great!!!

  62. AssetsCarrotholdenbj on Jul 06, 2010 09:54 PM

[50] Backsolved that one. I thought I would hate it, but it ended up being one of my favorite Hypers.

  63. AssetsPeachphotogal on Jul 06, 2010 10:22 PM

I am a preschool teacher and a mom. I loved it. Tell the artists to keep drawing!

  64. AssetsRadishad1211 on Jul 07, 2010 01:45 AM

[1] No kids here, but I really liked the puzzle. I got all but one of them with ease. As for those that are having a hard time, just call them Captain Hook...no imagination!! Please pass on my congrats and thanks to the kids.

  65. Avatar_profileApplerosgirl121184 on Jul 07, 2010 05:43 AM

Can I TG someone my answers? I think I have it, but I must be missing something as it won't go. Thanks!

  66. Avatar_profileBananarxgary on Jul 07, 2010 05:59 AM

You are a freaking genius!! You solved this puzzle.

You solved this puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 242nd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 20 points for solving this.

    thanks 55

  67. AssetsPepperChupper on Jul 07, 2010 06:36 AM

I applaud the idea for this puzzle, it was very cute and well put together, but I still don't think it should have been featured. If you get stuck on anything, you're basically screwed with no way of figuring it out.

  68. AssetsCarrotBattler on Jul 07, 2010 07:31 AM

    Your kids are awesome.

  69. AssetsGarlicsammydb on Jul 07, 2010 09:40 AM

that was awesome. way to go kids!! also, even though i needed salt to get #6 (i was thinking dino for too long) it is awesome. also, very good job on pooh!!

  70. AssetsGrapesmconolly on Jul 07, 2010 11:15 AM

Very nice. Clever idea - I love that they are real drawings and not some adult "mocked-to-make-them-look-like-they-were-drawn-by-children" pictures.

I guess number 6 gave everybody, including me, a hang-up. Once I got the salt and from the creator and the clue from the other 2 letters, it came to me.

  71. Avatar_profileApplerosgirl121184 on Jul 07, 2010 12:09 PM

Nevermind about the TG, I got it. I thought that #3 was something you drink out of and was stuck on it for quite a while. Oh well, at least I solved it. It was kind of fun, even for someone who doesn't have kids. :)

  72. Avatar_profileCherriestwocatsintheyard on Jul 07, 2010 12:45 PM

I'm stumped. How big is #3? What is it made of? (I wish there was a button I could push and get a clue).

  73. AssetsEggj15bell on Jul 07, 2010 12:50 PM

[72] it's smaller than a breadbox and has a button on top. but I can't tell you if it's actually related to a team as I don't recognize the colors for any teams I know about.

  74. AssetsPumpkinrunart on Jul 07, 2010 04:28 PM

Even before I scrolled down to the comments I knew this art was created by children not by an adult trying to immitate "kids" art. There something almost impossible for an adult to capture about children's artwork. I simply adore #6 - what a great little drawing. My compliments to these wonderful artists.

  75. AssetsEggsonjahi on Jul 07, 2010 07:09 PM

[70][74] Thanks for recognizing this really was done by kids and not, as [59] hinted, done by adults to look like kids. I swear I did absolutely no touch-up on any of them. They were all done in Microsoft Paint. #6 was one of the first and done by the youngest. After he saw his sister using the paint-fill feature, he refused to do any more "line" drawings!

[67] You aren't quite screwed. I made sure there were so many crossings that a cross-word solver would give you a small sampling of choices for most of them.

  76. AssetsGarlicpandapal on Jul 07, 2010 07:12 PM

Cute! Guess I'm really a parent, since I could identify at least most of them!

  77. Avatar_profileBananaMammothPam on Jul 08, 2010 08:35 AM

Very fun! Got them all almost too easily.

  78. AssetsDuckieRamblingRich on Jul 08, 2010 08:41 AM

Great idea! I got them all without looking at the comments but I did have to get help from my wife. :)

  79. AssetsGrapeskaleidoscopeeyes8 on Jul 20, 2010 03:01 PM

Got them all relatively easily, as I live with a 5 year old. The only one I got stuck on was #12, because I was thinking of Zeus and not Jupiter.

  80. AssetsStrawberryMirthOfTheWicked on Oct 09, 2010 08:27 PM

thanks [57]! I was totally stuck on #6 just like everyone else.. I absolutely love all the pictures (#6 was probably my favorite actually). Tell your kids they did a fantastic job!
    [EDIT] Spelling error...

  81. AssetsPotatoBenditlikebaker on Nov 09, 2010 09:37 AM

    haha 6 had me stuck

I get it now, first I thought it had a beak haha

  82. AssetsPotatoBenditlikebaker on Nov 09, 2010 09:37 AM

    haha 6 had me stuck

I get it now, first I thought it had a beak haha

  83. AssetsEggplantJWillOH on Nov 04, 2011 05:27 PM

You got it! But we're not going to save your answer.
Hmmm. Don't know what that means, but I guess I got it.
    Very cute!

  84. AssetsDuckiePatanga on Dec 03, 2011 05:15 PM

Dragon, aliens??? Who knows....who cares? Very self-indulgent puzzle IMHO.
