my first first! woohoo!
Just an interesting thing ... I misspelled a name in #12, but when I typed in #14 it overwrote the letter at the intersection. I didn't go back and fix #12, but the submit still worked.
Apparently, the "submit checker" process (or whatever you want to call it) does not compare your text in the answer blocks to the answer key, but it compares from the grid.
I don't think I'd noticed that before ...
[2] I had someone point that out to me not too long ago. Your assessment is correct. Which meant a recent hyper of mine where The Byrds was helpfully crossed at the Y but the crossing word came later meant that an aweful lot of people prolly got away with spelling it wrong! :)
pleasant puzzle
Got all but 15...I don't recognize that lodge. Google isn't helping.
Nevermind, I had the g-->t with the wrong picture. No wonder I couldn't think of any singer with the last name of Trig...
Got 54th.
[5] The first word is what you'd be doing in order to need to use the lodge. And the L is used as a common letter to the 2 words.
Some of the pictures (2,3,4) don't open for me. Would someone be so kind as to describe what is shown in the lower right picture in clue #2?
Top 100 in all three, first time ever!
67th??? At :16? Y'all must be out at parties and letting me do well.
Thanks. :)
Hmmm, stuck on 15. Thought I had it via Google, but not taking. Salt anyone?
OK, #3 the color is NOT beige!
[7] arrow pointing to water saying "not this", arrow pointing to the... not-water next to it saying "this"
any help with the SNL guy?
[12] It would help if you changed those three images from PNG files to JPEG files.
[12] That did it, thanks.
Are 2,3,4 uploaded as .png files?
[14] Thanks - those are the wrong pics. Part of the two-step process you recommended to start with png and convert to jpeg... I'll get right on it! :)
Oh, before anyone asks - they are the "right" pics - just not the "final" format.
EDIT: Ok, I just re-uploaded those 3 images. If that causes anyone trouble, I deeply apologize! But hopefully it will fix problems like dragontrainer was having.
[13] They were an androgynous character.
[17] t/y. that did it!
After checking, and rechecking, a completed puzzle for over 1/2 hour, I give up. Wicked frustrating....
Lots of trial & error with "i" versus "y" in some of the answers. #15 threw me for awhile - I didn't see that tiny little letter change over the last clue.
Also on three, the color is not any sort of gray. In fact, I don't think it looks like the color it's supposed to be at all.

[21] You need to adjust your monitor. Looks alright to me.
[21] "Not any sort of gray"? It's... not gray... Maybe you meant that it looks gray to you? Regardless, the theme should tell you what letter that color starts with...
And for anyone else having trouble, the clues are in alphabetical order.
[20] Sorry about the little letter exchange - when I looked at it just before puzzle time, I thought it looked too small too. As far as the spelling of the names go, I tried to stick with well-known artists so that they would be easily googleable by anyone that wasn't already certain how they were spelled...
Very odd - I am pretty certain I have them all and they are spelled right but it is not taking. Anyone care to check my answers?
[25] I will.
[25] <--- ditto. checked, double checked and triple checked. anybody mind quadruple checking mine?
[27] You can send your list to me. Most likely spelling mistakes are #11 and #12, although when I "solved" it, it wouldn't take because I had named the person pictured in #10 instead of the clued artist.
281st Tanga member to solve it. You earned 20 points for solving this! Great clues!
would someone check my answers? I too have quadruple checked and don't see where my problem is.
[30] Same here...it's driving me nuts. I even tried refreshing the page and entering all the answers in again. I've googled the spelling of EVERY answer on the puzzle.
Help? Please?
Never mind. I found my problem: it was the color on #3 there are actually two colors that fit the alliteration and the theme. I had the wrong one. Neither color actually is what the clue looks like, which is what had me confused.
The answers certainly spanned a lot of decades of music!
[31] The problems I've been made aware of so far are:
Thinking #3 is beige - go more generic than that.
#13 - someone had Ray instead of the real first name
#14 - someone had Nina instead of the real first name (I suspect this one, at least, was just an unnoticed typo).
If it's not any of those, send me a TG and I'll help out.
[33] Yes - and genres - and I tried to keep them all well known but people are having trouble anyway. :(
I cant get 15. it's drving me nuts
someone help me with 15
[36] I dunno... Can I Trust You With My Heart? Or will your Foolish Pride get in the way? :)
(You are looking for an American Country singer)
[34] sorry so many people are having trouble. I thought they were well clued. I too had a spelling mistake (I normally do) and was able to google the correct answer. I liked the alliteration theme.
i have it all filled in and still cant get to accept it .. but still liked the puzzle
I need a check too. Googled every name to make sure they're all singers... still no go!
Arrrggghhh! Never mind... #3 got me too. I must be colorblind!
[37] Thank you for that... I had the last name ending with 'gg' instead of 'tt'.
