Woo-hoo! 3rd and 12th on crypto... If I hadn't gone braindead on the next to last one, who knows? I might have been 1st!

    Awesome puzzle - great theme!

  3. Rf_avatarTomatoRandiman on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:04 PM

    Fun one!!

  4. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:05 PM

A few tricky ones, but overall a great puzzle.

  5. Phi3CornPhilana on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:05 PM

    Yes, this was fun!

  6. Tanga_profile_photoRaspberryWhiteKnight85 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:06 PM

Is there a problem with the answer grid? It says I'm not correct ... but I think I am.

  7. FileSailboatkevinruns262 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:06 PM

    Fun, nice one!

  8. Tanga_profile_photoRaspberryWhiteKnight85 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:06 PM

Oh. Apparently the problem is me.

  9. Img_0189Egggst on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:08 PM

    Good and well-balanced puzzle.

  10. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:17 PM

I had nothing until the theme hit on clue 8

  12. Avatar_profileCheeseburgerslokay on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:09 PM

    Nice puzzle

  13. FileTomatobcgrote on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:09 PM

Never heard of #6... Do I need to know who HE is specifically, or is it name related only?

  14. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:11 PM

[13] You need his TITLE only.

  15. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:11 PM

    wtf is 9??? a mat?

  16. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:13 PM

    Hmmmm ... stuck on 6 and 10.

Post and solve on 10. Now just 6

  17. FilePepperdajagr on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:11 PM

[13] The name isn't important. It's something else about him.

  18. PhotoRocketdenisepinto on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:11 PM

Nice aha on the theme ;)

  19. FileRaspberryForNoReasonHeresApu on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:11 PM

    fine and dandy

  20. Cutie_jillianPeppersuzique on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:12 PM

Think I have them correct, but won't take. May I check my answers with someone?

  21. FileTomatobcgrote on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:14 PM

LOL, all I got is the partner of a dom is a submissive!

Edit got it, wow, it makes sense, but I'm not Catholic or Anglican enough to have got it on my own!

  22. Nick_dress_blues_2Pepperbitwisenot on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:13 PM

very nice! #6 took me the longest...

  23. FractalEggdduensing on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:13 PM

nice puzzle...loved the theme....and NO facial recognition!

the last clue (the dom) took me the longest....but a crossword solver worked wonders.

  24. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:13 PM

[15] - #9 is something you might find inside a computer or something electronic in general.

  25. 100_1703Raspberrysonjahi on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:14 PM

[15] Yeah, that one's tough. It goes in a computer.

  26. Avatar_profilePeachyalsof on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:14 PM

[14] Thanks, I would have never gotten it without that.

  27. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:14 PM

[20] I can check if you like...

  28. 2951_72460803643_680288643_1849615_6860025_nGrapesCpt_Jemand on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:35 PM

I swear I've got it, but it's not accepting it... gone over my answers twice...

89th... Can't believe I got the last one wrong... my mind works in mysterious ways...

  29. Pretzel3_profileTomatoDavmar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:16 PM

    Nice puzzle :)

  30. Avatar_profileSailboatmama2molly on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:16 PM

I know #9 is part of a computer, but I guess I'm just blanking. ugh

  31. Avatar_profileSailboatmama2molly on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:16 PM

    oops. double post

  32. FileGarlick1w1 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:16 PM

    'lil help on 8?

  33. PhotoRocketdenisepinto on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:17 PM

    [32] It's comical.

  34. Avatar_profileRaspberrygwk1967 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:17 PM

#10 took me the longest (it took forever to realize who the indicated guy is supposed to be), with #6 a close second.

  35. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:19 PM

    [33] it's a dynamic answer.

  36. 07310099PepperLakeLivin on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:19 PM

For some reason I found that really tough, but I really liked it!

  37. FileKiwiconniebgood on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:20 PM

    What is number nine?

  38. FileOnionzyrilia on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:20 PM

    #4 eludes me...

  39. Avatar_profileSailboatmama2molly on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:21 PM

Finally got #9. duh Really liked this puzzle! :)

  40. TangaCarrotFalala on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:28 PM

Still lost on #6...I think I know his title but not getting the connection

  41. PhotoRocketdenisepinto on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:21 PM

[34] Me too. For #10, I started thinking about the theme and what I would have put in the puzzle, and then the word "bank" clicked!

  42. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:23 PM

6 just came to me. I was thinking a little too generically and not specifically to his position title.

Great puzzle. I didn't have to look up a thing and that's always a time saver with hypercrosses

  43. Avatar_profileSailboatmama2molly on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:24 PM

[37] Not sure if this will help, but it's a LOT smaller than the picture makes it look.

  44. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:24 PM

It's got to be 6 I'm still missing..several options on the crossword solver, none of which work....hmmmm

  45. FileKiwiconniebgood on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:28 PM

    got it! Salt on 10?

Post and Solve - under 100! It's fun getting here at night. :)

  46. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:28 PM

For #10, look where the arrow is pointing. Perhaps he should be standing somewhere a little more obvious.

  47. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:28 PM

    [45] rhymes with 10 (tenn)?

  48. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:30 PM

[47] Did you spell #5 correctly? I nearly slipped up there.

  49. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:32 PM

[30] & [37] like I said earlier #9 can be found in computers or other sophisticated electronics. If that is not enough then it is a heteronym of a crispy snack food...

  50. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:31 PM

[48], i did...6 must be "nucleoli"...that's the only way i could have missed it....

  51. SavethewordscopySailboatWordoPhile on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:32 PM

    what the heck is #2

  52. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:33 PM

ok time to feel stupid but I still can't get #1

  53. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:33 PM

[51] that may very well be the easiest one. The picture is of something you would use to fix a flat tire.

  54. Avatar_profileCarrotmmene on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:34 PM

[52] - don't feel bad, it was one of my last, I think one must belong to a different subculture. But, as I found out, it is pretty easy to google the answer if you recognize the picture and you understand the structure of the answers...

  55. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:35 PM

    OK...you got me dajagr..good night!

  56. PhotoRocketdenisepinto on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:35 PM

[51] Thing you use to lift your vehicle.

  57. SavethewordscopySailboatWordoPhile on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:35 PM

    [53] aaah thanks
clearly as you can tell I don't do much of that LOL

  58. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:38 PM

[54] thanks for trying to help, but still no clue

  59. 20162_655852564169_12805181_37247322_6510368_oBananaAmanda.K.Brown on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:38 PM

same here [40] ..i feel ridiculous. I've had the rest of the puzzle for over 20 minutes!!

  60. Media1Sailboatacop on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:39 PM

crossword solver gave me 176 answers for #6 help and I am Catholic dangit

  61. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:41 PM

    [60] lol...i know...pain in the ass

  62. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:46 PM

can someone tm me #1 please?

  63. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:47 PM

For #6 all you need to know is the bottom part, in the most generic sense.

  64. 20162_655852564169_12805181_37247322_6510368_oBananaAmanda.K.Brown on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:48 PM

Holy moly... after googling five thousand variations of clues for #6, I finally got one hit that made it click with *just* the right clue. If I'd only been Catholic... I learned something tonight!

  65. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:54 PM

Ok, if no one will send me the answer to #1, can someone give me a bit more salt in here please? Is it "the brain" ..."the mind"....or something else?

  66. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:56 PM

    [65] It's a cartoon character that's in the pic for #1

  67. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:56 PM

    [65] TG sent

  68. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:58 PM

WOW, There is no chance I would have ever gotten that. Never heard of it.

  69. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 07:58 PM

    TY bamar

  70. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Tue Aug 31, 2010 08:00 PM

I would never have heard of it either without my kids being the ages they are.

  71. PotstickersKiwi62mackinnon on Tue Aug 31, 2010 08:00 PM

Yeah, the pic on #10 is really tough, I've never seen such a low-security bank, I guess.

i.e. one where that indicated guy wasn't working behind a counter and/or plexi-glass wall. I guess the world is less violent/criminal in dajagr's area.

  72. FileEggGamesX4 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 08:03 PM

I was thinking along the lines of "brain and brawn",

  73. Avatar_profileBanananwjake77 on Tue Aug 31, 2010 08:26 PM

[43] That was just enough clue for me -- thanks!

  74. Avatar_profilePlumegates on Tue Aug 31, 2010 08:51 PM

Loved this one! I find it strange that I got my aha moment on #7 though.

  75. FileAppleReverendVader on Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:18 PM

The answer to number 6 has a striking resemblance in tone and flavor to the answer to number 3.

    That was my "aha" moment...

  76. Avatar_profileGrapesCasualSax on Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:49 PM

Oddly enough #4 stumped me. #6 came easily 'cause I'm a big Elvis fan.

  77. Goofy_kid_mugBananaGoonieguy on Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:53 PM

    neat-o mosquito! Fun!

  78. 100_1703Raspberrysonjahi on Wed Sep 01, 2010 04:17 AM

    [76] Funny... :)

  79. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Wed Sep 01, 2010 04:37 AM

[23], [60], [70], thanks...unfortunately my crossword solver didn't have the answer, so the google fu finally kicked in...

  80. Th_10696-bigWatermelonMokona on Wed Sep 01, 2010 04:42 AM

Wow, I feel really silly getting stuck so long on #4 and #9!

    Good puzzle!

  81. Avatar_profilePlumcv20 on Wed Sep 01, 2010 05:33 AM

#6 had me stuck for a while, now i feel dumb for not getting it,
    Fun puzzle! :)

  82. Avatar_profileStrawberryAllenKll on Wed Sep 01, 2010 08:32 AM

WTF is the #6 clue? I googled it and still don't understand.

I would never have gotten it if not for [75] THANK YOU ReverendVader!

  83. NelsonKiwiVinDash on Wed Sep 01, 2010 08:45 AM

Can someone please send me the answers. For the first time I am completely lost on 8/10 clues. I have 1 and 2 and feel I get the theme, but can't get anything else!!!! argh!!!

  84. Sparky_fullflame_01PumpkinTJSunDevil on Wed Sep 01, 2010 08:56 AM

Kept trying to use both images in #4... just use one or the other

  85. Dumb02Garlicsammydb on Wed Sep 01, 2010 09:41 AM

cripes #9, why couldn't you have been a picture of a Dorito!!

  86. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Wed Sep 01, 2010 01:31 PM

I relunctantly confess that this puzzle has stumped me almost entirely. Ok, maybe I have 2, 5, 7, 9 (maybe). But no theme or answers to the others. I've been over the comments, and nothing clicks. I must be on a different wavelength on this one. No fun here............ :(

the 240th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 20 points for solving this. I could not have done this without the salt and my friends help.......so thanks! I learned on this one! Although, I think some of the clues are pretty difficult to identify.

  87. 100_1703Raspberrysonjahi on Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:10 AM

  88. PirogoethPlumPirogoeth on Wed Sep 01, 2010 12:35 PM

Once it finally clicked, it was a breeze and great. Wonderful puzzle!

  89. FileOnionPatanga on Tue Aug 09, 2011 01:01 PM

Oh....the monk drove me crazy....and I knew the correct word because of where my sons went to school......aaah.
