#8 is the only one I can't figure out. Don't know either of the two guys and a single letter isn't enough to help me.

edit: p/s strikes again. You probably DO know the second guy. I googled the phrase under him plus two descriptive words (color and size) plus a guess at the decade and a rather famous guy popped up near the top of the list. ;)

[6] Thanks, I didn't even need to Google again. You mentioning "size" did it for me. I did try using color in my earlier searches though without luck. Luckily I listened to oldies growing up. Got 79th.

It was my first attempt at the clue, and I still like it a lot for simplicity, but it didn't really match the rest of the puzzle.
