solved it...still haven't got the theme.

[9] Last word should have given you the theme. Add that to each other answer.

[16] Doesn't #16 make the answer pretty obvious? I got that one before the rest and it made solving all the others much easier. I thought the title was only poorly connected to the theme but that hardly matters since the puzzle was pretty easy.

That was really fun & I caught on right away except the relevance of the title!?! Duh! Thanx bargellos! :)

[10] big deal of difference between knowing the common word used and knowing what theme is hinted at in the title.

I get the title now.....I'm one of the few people with only a landline.

I can only imagine Homer Simpson's reaction to the picture for #13.
