either i'm thinking it's something else, or google is letting me down....

[1] Me too - looks like a jellyfish to me, but the only thing I can find for that is "Jellyfish phobia"

[4] Well... there's no specific word for that either that I can find.

Problems with the grid display & spelling fixed

Wow, somebody finally solved this. I wonder who it was.

[5] I fear that you may be right and that there could be a spelling error in #13. I do have a guess for #5, although I haven't been able to confirm it. I'll be ticked if I'm wasting my time trying to find an answer for #5 if the problem is in #13.

EDIT: I got it! You have to omit the first "K" in the answer to #13.

SUBSEQUENT EDIT: #13 has now been fixed, so that answer should be entered normally.
Also, #6 now shows all six letters.

You solved this puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 4th Tanga member to solve it. Finally after 3 hours!

Can anyone give salt on #5 for instant gratification? That's a poor picture at best, and when it's so small, there is seemingly no hope.

That is a jellyfish in #5.

For #5, I found the Wikipedia "jellyfish" article very helpful. I had three crossing letters for the answer to #5, and in that article I found a word whose first 8 letters included those three letters in the proper positions.

Man, that was a *tough* five points.

[16] Agreed. I have answers that fit, but don't know what's wrong. I'd say #2 and #6 are my shakiest, but I dunno...

think I fixed it. finished every puzzle published on Tanga but not such a savvy puzzlemaker here.

[15] Wow. I finally got #5 using your wikipedia method. I then turned around and googled the supposed phobia and google autocorrected me to a fear of learning. When I forced it to search for the answer here, there were a whopping 154 hits!

[19] That sucks... Maybe put a WIP after the hyper name so they know it's not ready? I guess Arnott warned us that some had not been moderated yet. :)

edit: I just noticed what you did with 4 and 13. Cute.

Also, I almost missed this one entirely because I wasn't navigating from Arnott's links, I was just looking at the recent hypers and since these are all kind of grayed out... like when you've solved them... I almost missed it. :)

Got tripped up by #12 - I found 2 answers that fit.

Finally got #5 - it is a jellyfish - it's a specific class of cnidaria

That was painful... and the fact that it had spelling errors and grid problems when I first started it (though they got fixed mid-stream, and I had to reload the page) made it near impossible.

My #8 and #15 answers arent matching up, which is making it hard to answer the supposed jellyfish one in #5. Any help?

I've got answers for everything, and everything is seeming to fit, but getting "Sorry, that is incorrect". Maybe I should go to bed.

I wonder how many people have to be diagnosed of a fear before it gets its own prefix?
I mean really? How many people have been diagnosed with fear of flutes, or otters, or chop sticks, or peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth?
Now, I can understand bee stings or cockroaches- I'd rather be holding an otter who's holding a flute on a bridge in the dark in the rain and fog while eating peanutbutter with chopsticks!!!!!
