    Very nicely done!

  2. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 24, 2010 07:10 PM

    Any salt for #6?

  3. Phi3CornPhilana on Dec 24, 2010 07:13 PM

[2] They're a normal part of a jacket, not usually covered in fur.

  4. Phi3CornPhilana on Dec 24, 2010 07:15 PM

ryanker, you did a great job of relating each clue image to the holiday!

  5. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Dec 24, 2010 07:18 PM

    [4] Agreed!

This was a great puzzle - I particularly liked #18 but I have to say it frustrated the bleepity-bleep out of me for reasons beyond the puzzle! First Tanga load issues, then my computer lost its internet connection, switched to the laptop but kept fat-fingering and grabbing for the desktop's mouse! *sigh* It's time to go to bed and wake up on Christmas!! :)

    Salt for #4?

  7. ErwinPepperTangaAl on Dec 24, 2010 07:20 PM

[6], think scientific name. If needed, you can Google "vertebrate classes".

  8. ErwinPepperTangaAl on Dec 24, 2010 07:22 PM

By the way, thanks, [3]. I was hung up on the particular "furry" part of it. : ) Searching for "what do you call the furry stuff on Santa's coat" pulled up several jokes I had no desire to read.

  9. FileEggknights23 on Dec 24, 2010 07:23 PM

    any salt for 19?

  10. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Dec 24, 2010 07:26 PM

I'm not getting anywhere on #19 either.

  11. Poirot_smallPotatoelmward on Dec 24, 2010 07:29 PM

[9], be very precise about what the arrow is pointing to.

  12. ErwinPepperTangaAl on Dec 24, 2010 07:29 PM

[9], [10], this was the toughest for me. Google what you think it is, maybe look at a synonym dictionary? That's what did it for me.

  13. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on Dec 24, 2010 07:32 PM

Thank you for the kind words. This is another one that Arnott helped a lot with.

[4] Some of the pics started out very un-christmasy. It took a few revisions to get them all "working".

  14. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Dec 24, 2010 07:32 PM

[12] Thanks, I had already tried that without luck, but I did it again and this time came up with the answer.

  15. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Dec 24, 2010 07:44 PM

[9][10] I had success using the thesaurus on dictionary.com.

  16. Oregon_ducksKiwiChrystyA on Dec 24, 2010 07:44 PM

    [9][10] Luke 2:9

  17. FileEggknights23 on Dec 24, 2010 07:53 PM

    [11], [12], [15], [16] thanks. I had 13 wrong so made it even tougher

  18. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Dec 24, 2010 08:16 PM

Wow, got here over an hour late and still 90th.

  19. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Dec 24, 2010 09:08 PM

    Wow, it's almost 2 hours and I was 109th

  20. Avatar_profileKiwiKayAnders on Dec 24, 2010 09:16 PM

This was so clever, and beautifully done. Nice Tanga christmas present, thanks! :D

  21. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Dec 25, 2010 05:51 AM

[13] With thanks to Murdoctor for the grid.

  22. KittylolxRocketjohanna on Dec 25, 2010 12:16 PM

Am I the only one having trouble with #13? Think I have all the rest. Edit: Think I just got #13 but something else is wrong. Drat. Well the edit wiped out my answers and then it took when I retyped. Must have had a spelling error.

  23. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on Dec 25, 2010 07:22 PM

This one was kind of tough. Had problems with 4, 5, 6, 13, 15, and 21, but was eventually able to figure them out. #4 was confusing because the answer seemed shorter than it should be. If you use the terminology "class" then technically the answer should have an "ia" and the end of it. As for #5, I was trying to make it past tense.

Wikipedia gave me the answer for #19, also where I went for #6.

[16] Thanks for your help. First time completing a hypercross!
    Merry Christmas!

  25. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Dec 26, 2010 09:16 AM

    Well done!

  26. Ncvacation2011_123Acemmp21989 on Dec 26, 2010 04:05 PM

You got it! But we're not going to save your answer.
Can anyone tell me why I got the above message when I finished the puzzle?
    Kind of disappointing.
Edit: Not as disappointed now I checked and I got the points I earned for the puzzle!

For [2] --- on a suit, there's usually a buttonhole there where you can put a flower.:-)

  28. FilePumpkinJohn on Jan 01, 2011 03:45 PM

#2: Blasphemy... The only true version was narrated by Boris Karoff

  29. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on Jan 02, 2011 02:56 PM

[23] I see what you're saying about #4. I figured using the "English" version, Vertebrate, instead of the Latin Vertebrata, would point to the correct version of the clued word.

  30. Avatar_profilePearjetcitygirl on Jan 02, 2011 04:32 PM

I had a hard time getting #19 too, even though I knew what it should be. It just didn't seem to fit w/ #18. Then I looked a bit closer at #18 and found out that my first impluse of putting the artist's first name in was not what was needed. Once I fixed that, it was a piece of cake!
