Hypercross: When two vowels go walking?

got them all...or so I thought...darn it...

[1] Google the title for the theme. Should help you get 1, at least.

(I'm stuck on 9, myself.)

I have answers for all, and they all fit a very loose theme. Of course, the answer's not taking, so something's wrong. My problem might be with 9, for which I have a really generic word. (edit: OK, the theme's not all that loose; I hadn't heard that title phrase before.)

Count me also as stuck on 9...

Can someone give me a nudge on #7? The word that comes to mind that fits the theme is too short.

Any clues on 7 or 8? Do I need to know the name of that ballpark?

nm - I got the ballpark. Now can someone say why that hamburger bun is being measured?

Edit: Got it. I DID have #6 wrong. It's the surname of both actors shown.

[16] Ok, so all the measurement stuff around the bun is a complete red herring. If it were me, I would have found a less misleading picture, or I would have edited the extraneous stuff out. Just a pet peeve of mine on these kinds of puzzles....

The current picture #6 is from the TV show FRIENDS....you should be able to pick out the first name from the lists of actors.

(I am posting these two bits of salt because facial recognition puzzles without a hint is now considered a Tanga no-no.)
