    got them all...or so I thought...darn it...

edit: #2 was spelled wrong. overall, a pretty good one.

  2. FilePancakesepaz on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:24 AM

[1] Google the title for the theme. Should help you get 1, at least.

    (I'm stuck on 9, myself.)

  3. FileEggmnemonica on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:29 AM

I have answers for all, and they all fit a very loose theme. Of course, the answer's not taking, so something's wrong. My problem might be with 9, for which I have a really generic word. (edit: OK, the theme's not all that loose; I hadn't heard that title phrase before.)

  4. FileCheeseburgerHrothgar24 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:26 AM

Count me also as stuck on 9...

  5. FilePancakesepaz on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:26 AM

[3] Same here... I'm not sure if what I have for 9 is really the answer, or if there's something wrong elsewhere.

  6. FileCheeseburgerHrothgar24 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:29 AM

9 is a single ??? of the whole

  7. FileEggmnemonica on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:31 AM

[6] Thanks; that got me looking for the mistake elsewhere. I had misspelled #2.

  8. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:37 AM

Can someone give me a nudge on #7? The word that comes to mind that fits the theme is too short.

  9. FilePancakestempus42 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:39 AM

Any clues on 7 or 8? Do I need to know the name of that ballpark?

  10. FilePancakesepaz on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:56 AM

[8] Did you add the second word?

edit: Got it! (And feel stupid about it, too!)

  11. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:42 AM

[9] Yes, you need to know the name of the ballpark. It's not where the Yankees play, btw.

  12. FilePancakestempus42 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:45 AM

nm - I got the ballpark. Now can someone say why that hamburger bun is being measured?

  13. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:46 AM

[12] Achtung! That looks like it might be from a Wendy's ad.

  14. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:51 AM

    [10] It was the 2nd word I had. :D
[11] Thank you, that was what I needed.

But I still have something wrong. Everything looks right. Maybe I have #6 wrong. Hmmmm....

Edit: Got it. I DID have #6 wrong. It's the surname of both actors shown.

  15. FileEggRPardoe on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:46 AM

[11] I figured it wasn't where the Yankees play. That would be when 1 vowel went walking.

  16. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:47 AM

[12] You need the specific name of that bun. And it's not Hamburger.

  17. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:48 AM

[14] Well, people have been warrenned about image identification...

  18. FilePancakestempus42 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:55 AM

Thanks for all the help. By the way, in case anyone is interested, the rule in German is the exact opposite from what it is in English...

  19. FilePancakestempus42 on Fri Aug 22, 2008 09:58 AM

[16] Ok, so all the measurement stuff around the bun is a complete red herring. If it were me, I would have found a less misleading picture, or I would have edited the extraneous stuff out. Just a pet peeve of mine on these kinds of puzzles....

  20. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:03 AM

[19] Actually, the measurement let me know it was more deluxe than your usual fast food burger bun.

  21. FilePeppercyncat on Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:06 AM

    [15] Lol.

  22. FileEggMurdoctor on Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:14 AM

Ugh... #8 had me stuck for a while. Thanks for all the hints... the picture couldn't have been more misleading if it depicted a red herring sandwich.

Personally, I'd have used a picture of a German emperor tumbling down a hill... lol

  23. FilePancakesScrappyChiq_n_Husband on Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:50 AM

I think I have most of them..but am totally lost on #2

  24. FileEggRPardoe on Fri Aug 22, 2008 01:40 PM

[23] Look carefully at the picture...there is a part that is obscured.

  25. FilePancakesScrappyChiq_n_Husband on Fri Aug 22, 2008 02:13 PM

    [24] thanks, don't know why I didn't notice that

  26. Avatar_profileRaspberrytpals on Sat Aug 23, 2008 06:27 AM

Any salt on the guys in #6?

  27. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Sat Aug 23, 2008 06:45 PM

[26] That is the only one I have left as well.

  28. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Sat Aug 23, 2008 11:11 PM

[26][27]if he isn't talking to his wrist he's turning RED - or the other guy might be getting SUPERed and DELIVERed
    | one has claimed the other was his 'illegitimate uncle'

  29. FractalEggdduensing on Mon Oct 12, 2009 07:23 PM

The two guys that were in #6 are now in #1 (tanga renumbered them)

    WARREN and NED...

what last name do they share?

The current picture #6 is from the TV show FRIENDS....you should be able to pick out the first name from the lists of actors.

(I am posting these two bits of salt because facial recognition puzzles without a hint is now considered a Tanga no-no.)
