This Hypercross will only be up for one day.

There will be a new Hyper tomorrow which will
run the normal two days for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

#8 seems to be missing a space?

  3. UntitledPepperarecords on Dec 23, 2010 07:07 PM

    Cute! I liked it!

  4. ErwinPepperTangaAl on Dec 23, 2010 07:08 PM

    [2], I'm with you. Wondering if there's a twist I haven't caught onto yet.

Never mind, it's not the repetitive, shortened version of the phrase. Google helped me get it right.

    Great one, Arnott!

  5. FileClockJewelia on Dec 23, 2010 07:07 PM

    Who you callin' a 'ho?

  6. TobuzooPepperdavidrager on Dec 23, 2010 07:08 PM

[2][4]] you should not be repeating yourself. Then check the spelling of the first word

  7. Avatar_profileRadishAmoyTubig on Dec 23, 2010 07:08 PM

I thought the same thing [2] but then I used my google-fu and found another way...

  8. FileEggmarkta on Dec 23, 2010 07:08 PM

8 has some silent letters if you know what I'm saying.

  9. Avatar_profileApplefyrephoenix47 on Dec 23, 2010 07:10 PM

[2] It's not spelled the way you think.

    Fun puzzle!

  10. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on Dec 23, 2010 07:10 PM

    Great puzzle.

  11. FileTomatobcgrote on Dec 23, 2010 07:10 PM

Sigh, why use the Disney icons if you're not going to use the same spelling?

  12. Avatar_profileRocketradkatemax on Dec 23, 2010 07:11 PM

    any salt on #10?

  13. Avatar_profileKiwihippie19 on Dec 23, 2010 07:11 PM

I think that this is my first top 100 triad. 21st 9th and then 66th it is that hang up on #8

  14. FileEggmlevenson on Dec 23, 2010 07:11 PM

    What's with #8???

  15. AnguseyeaCarrotbamar on Dec 23, 2010 07:13 PM

    Nice!

  16. Avatar_profilePlumRenegadeTim on Dec 23, 2010 07:13 PM

Any quick salt on #10? Got everything else, just stuck on it.

  17. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 23, 2010 07:13 PM

what a dummy I am - I put in the wrong name for #5. Still made the top 100 though.

  18. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 23, 2010 07:13 PM

  19. FileGarlicgdhs22 on Dec 23, 2010 07:16 PM

I think I have #8 right, but something's still wrong.

Edit: I had the same problem as [16].

  20. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 23, 2010 07:16 PM

the numbers are repeating, whats up with that? (the numbers of the posts I mean)
Anyway RenegadeTim (aka [16] number 2), I got that answer pretty easily through googling.

  21. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Dec 23, 2010 07:15 PM

[16] They are fox hunting. It won't take my answers, would somebody check mine for me?

  22. Water_dropEggplantMrsH2Os on Dec 23, 2010 07:15 PM

To quick with my Monopoly answer. Put the wrong one.

  23. Avatar_profilePlumRenegadeTim on Dec 23, 2010 07:18 PM

    Nice! 99th, to complete my 1st top 100 triad. Thanks [21] (tlmitch7).

I'm quite ashamed I had such a hard time with #10... Being from the state capital of Florida, I use the term quite often... Shouldn't be too salty, I don't think.

  24. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Dec 23, 2010 07:20 PM

[22] Thanks, I did the same thing, got it now.

  25. Avatar_profileApplehiscarlett on Dec 23, 2010 07:26 PM

need help, still get get #8 to work...
at least i think it's #8, since no red letters, but when checking it says sorry not correct

  26. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 23, 2010 07:23 PM

[21] - I can check if you like

  27. Avatar_profilePlumRenegadeTim on Dec 23, 2010 07:25 PM

After the solve, I still don't understand why the creator didn't just use the four word version for #8. That one took the longest aside from #10 because I just didn't know what was going on there.

Edit: The answer is done correctly because it is the actual name of said song. Just not what everyone thinks it is.

  28. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Dec 23, 2010 08:06 PM

    [16], [22] same here!

  29. Avatar_profilePeachfreddymace on Dec 23, 2010 08:10 PM

Ok...i've used multiple answers for #8....still can't get it....any additional salt?

  30. FileCarrotmmene on Dec 23, 2010 08:17 PM

[29] - think of the song. Google if necessary.

  31. 125ApplePDXErik on Dec 23, 2010 08:33 PM

[12] google fox hunts and how they're started.

[29] google was the only way I got this one.

    Any salt for #11?

    (lol)

  32. Avatar_profileOrangeSamel on Dec 23, 2010 08:37 PM

I cannot for the life of me figure out #7. Any salt?

  33. FileAppleqwertyca on Dec 23, 2010 09:27 PM

[32] According to wikipedia, that's what they call that type of sandwich in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

  34. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Dec 23, 2010 09:29 PM

[32] It's a Philadelphia thing. Try finding a wiki for what you think it is and go from there.

  35. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Dec 23, 2010 09:29 PM

[2][4][7][11] Heh, you never see coming the answer that might trip people up. FWIW, there actually *is* no other "right" way to spell that phrase/lyric. But I can see how the "It's off to work they go" part would lead people to think I was asking for a four word answer. Thank goodness the correct way *wasn't* an extra space/letter longer. That would have really sucked for me.

    [27] Thank you :)

  36. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Dec 23, 2010 09:33 PM

[22][28] Wow... because I was always focused on the *sound* of each answer, I never even saw that the green Monopoly building kinda fits, too. Except, of course, if you think about it, it doesn't really fit, right?

  37. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Dec 23, 2010 10:01 PM

What a HOrrible, HOrrendous, and HOrrid puzzle. Very nice!

  38. Texas-flagGrapeskariandjonathan on Dec 23, 2010 11:04 PM

Holy Cow! What an easy puzzle!

  39. FilePumpkinRickj4029 on Dec 24, 2010 12:24 AM

[35] Funny, the more common search results are NOT the archaic usage you have!

  40. Avatar_profileLemonsvanover on Dec 24, 2010 05:34 AM

ok getting the hang of it but the last 2 days the results button has told me it's incorrect. I know they were right any help?

  41. Avatar_profileLemonsvanover on Dec 24, 2010 05:35 AM

they as in the worked puzzle.

  42. AvadoneDuckiebargellos on Dec 24, 2010 05:58 AM

IMHO, that was fun. And thanks for including #7, the "Philadelphia thing".

  43. Wolfmoon128RocketWolf68k on Dec 24, 2010 06:15 AM

    DAMN IT!!!!!
I really wish it would tell me which one I've got wrong.
I have them all filled in and I know it's right but it's always some little annoying thing and I don't know what

And after reading the comments I know that got #8 right before reading because I had to look it up

  44. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Dec 24, 2010 10:38 AM

[43] Sorry, Wolf. If you still need help, TG me your answers. FWIW, I knew that having no crossing words was a potential hiccup here, but I just liked the "grid" too much.

  45. Dsc00625Grapesmilncoln on Dec 24, 2010 10:55 AM

did you get that ho hypercross yet? i can help you if you need help, let me know which ones you think you may have wrong

  46. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Dec 24, 2010 11:27 AM

[39] Yeah, that IS unfortunate. I googled for quite awhile, digging through all the "wrong" stuff on the internet before I googled the words in the picture + "lyrics". But to be fair, the author really should go with the CORRECT spelling, not the most common misspelling. It's much more defensible this way.

  47. Avatar_profileStrawberrywhoisjohngalt78 on Dec 24, 2010 03:55 PM

    I h8 (-t) #8. Seriously, though, nize puzzle. :)

  48. Ncvacation2011_123Acemmp21989 on Dec 24, 2010 06:03 PM

I have tried on and off all day, sure I have them right but it says I'm wrong! Grrrr I hate this. Almost time for a new puzzle already!
Edit: Post and solve! Yay, gotta love it!! Spelling mistake.

  49. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Dec 25, 2010 05:55 AM

Heh, and I thought I was gonna catch flack for the spelling on #9.

  50. KittylolxRocketjohanna on Dec 25, 2010 11:26 AM

I have the same spelling on the answer for #6 and #12. Is that wrong?

  51. Wolfmoon128RocketWolf68k on Dec 25, 2010 07:25 PM

    [44] I don't blame you. I think it's a nice idea.

  52. ToothAppleplacidfury on Dec 27, 2010 01:03 AM

[50] Not the same spelling. I was so sure about the answers a then little voice said, "Yo! Google is YOur friend."
