Very nice, jargonista!
hells yeah. 107 pts!
(Highest single score ever, so I took the time to gloat.
202 pts today- best ever.)
Tricky, tricky! Glad I got the theme or I might never have figured out #17! :)
Hmmm, I got it, but I don't understand #17 at all.
[4], I think that describes the "teensy drop of rain"
By the way jargonista, great hyper! I've got my eggplant now, on this one!
52nd finally on to get in top 100
17 and 4 are killing me...
[8] that was hard for me too ...
read the fine print in 17 - that may help a wee bit ..
Nice puzzle!!
I can't see 1 and 20
got it I guess you either have to know fish or guitars!
good puzzle well clued I liked it thanks jargonista
[8] Give it a moment. A very small moment. I'm sure it will come to you.
[11] #1 could be titled Billy (and would be really annoying mounted on the wall) and #20 would be facing the other direction if it belonged to Sir Paul
Awesome puzzle jargonista. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Just managed to get 92nd despite getting here late.
Edit - duh!!!
For others that are still having issues, I recommend finding a website with a list of examples - when you come across it, you'll react like I did.
Something is wrong with my answers as well. I, too, think it's my 4/17 answer. TG? Or less subtle salt?
[16] I'm not getting those two either. Add my name to that TG if you please.
NM P&S :(
This is a fun hypercross. Thanks jargonista!
Foo! #4 & 17 got me for too long - 101st!!
[16] #4 is the unit indicated by the highlighted area and #17 is really really really tiny.
any salt on #4 and #17?
[13] is good salt for #4. For #17, you're looking for an adjective that means very small.
Can someone TG me? I have a lot I am stumped on.
Thanks, soccer_ref!
Great puzzle! Lots of fun and I got my pear with this one! =)
.
Nice puzzle. I would never have got 17 without 4.
Wow am I dense, I didn't notice the theme until I had 4 answers left (at which point I went back and corrected two wrong answers)
Thanks, [23]
Like Mr. Berra would say, "It's like deja vu all over again."
BTW, as pointed out in [21], [23], 17 has nothing to do with rain whatsoever....it does have to do with teensy, however....
[29] I was slow too on the theme... sure worked easier
[31] Like :)
Enjoyed this puzzle even though I waited until the next day to do it!
the 283rd Tanga member to solve it! Fun one once I realized what was required, then goofed up on the order anyway.....:( and :).
You solved this puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 328th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 20 points for solving this.
Holy wow difficult!!!!
a lot better once I finally got the pattern but like most 4 and 17 ......ouch
Why do I feel like I've been double-crossed?
The clue for #4 makes zero sense. A fifth of an hour has absolutely no bearing on the answer to this part of the puzzle.
It's a long stretch to get from that to the correct answer... had I not figure out #17, I would never have gotten it.
Otherwise... Great puzzle.
[38] What a strange way to look at it... Just because the red block happens to be 1/5th the distance traveled by the short hand on a clock doesn't mean that's the only way to interpret it. That clock (like all analogs) shows two measurements, one of which is 1/60th of the other and is the one displayed there with one of the 60 units colored in. I didn't find it a stretch at all - I got it immediately. Everyone's different, I guess. :)
I can't say that I really got the theme today, but the puzzles were simple enough except for 4/17, which was a pain.
fun, and somewhat difficult, good one!
