The puzzle takes if you intentionally misspell #8, which the crossings should help determine.

edit: FINALLY figured it out by comparing the other answers to their corresponding misspelled words.

just think about what word with most of the letters similar to "Freakin' " would would be commonly see before the word NEWS (with an exclamation mark)

Word #8 was the whole inspiration for the puzzle to begin with.

Very clever idea! Although after the next Tanga upgrade the answers may disappear - I have run across several in the past based on Tanga pages at that time...

If you haven't been here since the beginning of time, #8 doesn't really make sense. Newer visitors may have a hard time solving this one with ease... or at least with both.
