odd: all the answers, they all fit, not correct

Having trouble with 8

just not getting #8....

My answers aren't taking. : (

All make sense to me except for #8.

EDIT: I just saw the previous comments. What I have seems to be a car. But I'm not sure that's right.

For some inexplicable reason, #15 had me stumped for many minutes. I really liked the theme and the clues otherwise though, thanks for making it!

Had trouble with #8. -- #15 I kept thinking of two other words!

I wasn't here at solve time. Glad to see people enjoyed it. I was worried about #8 so I'm glad [4] & [8] left salt about it being a car... And I knew there were lots of different ways to name the picture in #15 so figured it would stump a few people too. Glad to know that, for once at least, I was a reasonable predictor on where people would trip. :)

I love the little brain exercise I get with this particular sort of hypercross. Philana does them quite often and I love trying to just type them out without writing them down first.
