I think I looked at every clue before figuring out the theme. A great aha moment, as up to that point, I'd been really disgusted with this puzzle. :)
This was a good light Hypercross--quick, easy, clever, and after some recent puzzles--no tedious stuff at all! Thanks!

What does "You got it! But we're not going to save your answer" mean? What did I do wrong?
Oh, and a little salt: despite the title, this puzzle has nothing to do with Tony Kornheiser

[1] Gave me the theme. Otherwise I would have been lost. Even with two of the answers.

I went through every clue twice, putting in any reasonable guess, until the theme clicked for me. After that it was easy and fun with the obvious website to guide me.
... and yes, I live in California.

I call shenanigans on the first down! you can't have that symbol in a crossword puzzle. Other than that it was a great puzzle! The long one across in the middle gave it away for me!

Now THAT was a good Hypercross.
(And I agree with the decree of Shenanigans. But the movie title DID specifically use that same symbol.)

Groan (in a good way) on the weasel. Not that I got it right away. In fact, well after. After solving the Hypercross it was bugging me, so I had to google a bit until I came across the right word that unlocked it.
Nice.

Fun Puzz! Good theme, IMDB is my friend!
I dunno about shenanigans, a crossword puzzle can use whatever works. It IS correct to use it here given the theme and clue... Can't win for losing, hey murdoctor?
Me too, Morganza, I'm near LA... Doubt that it makes the puzzle any easier.
And I learned that 'Scavenger Hunt' was involved! I didn't remember that. Such a fun movie, and filmed in San Diego! Bonus!

FUn. Some good puns. The title and the long down entry in the middle pretty much gives up the theme. Then it's just fun playing with the rest of clues.
Thanks.

[26] I'm with you. I have no idea where that comes from.
I had a great time with this one. I loved the 'aha' moment for this puzzle.

For those who don't understand the weasel clue, let's just say that of the 16 extant species currently classified in the genus Mustela, 10 have "weasel" in their common name. Among those that do not are the stoat or ________.
I loved the clue, btw

[19] In my book, shenanigans are a good thing. And that IS the correct title (as [20] and [23] pointed out), so I think it was a fair answer.
As for the white weasel... I actually used a very similarly-constructed clue for a previously-submitted hypercross that hasn't been selected yet, so to me it wasn't that "original"... but I'm glad it was so well-received (by those of you who "get it", anyway).
Personally, I'm proud of the top one across. Had to doctor up a real press release for Golden Grahams.
In any case, thanks for all the kind words. Glad you all enjoyed the puzzle.

Weasel clue: To understand it, do you have to have a certain kind of drawl when saying t'answer? I don't know, maybe t'ain't so, but you can try it and see what you think.
As for the "shenanigans," if you're talking about what I think, then I just want to put in my vote--I actually really like it when a number shows up in a hypercross. Don't know why it makes me happy, but I think it's fun.

Had some trouble with the first down; knew what the answer was but it didn't seem to take it. Then I realized I'd spelled another word wrong, so my first instinct on the first down was correct. Had the theme very early - this was a lot of fun!

[1] Gave me the theme. After that, it was all IMDB.
I didn't like the fishing rod one thought... it was the only one that required saying it out loud.

One-Down could also have been "End of Days" (but wasn't).
