Yay on #11 - Go Hawks!

  2. Garage-grrls-chainsaw-sally-7Eggplantgertrudethemutilator on Jun 25, 2011 07:07 PM

    hmm.. not taking?
    edit: nvm, misspelled 2...

  3. ErwinPepperTangaAl on Jun 25, 2011 07:05 PM

I love the aha! You've done it again, sammy. Nice hyper!

  4. Hossy_lap3BananaDEBailey on Jun 25, 2011 07:05 PM

Arggh! No. 11 is stumping me!

  5. Avatar1GrapesTechLife on Jun 25, 2011 07:07 PM

easy enough but I have the same problem [2]. It all fits, is something spelled incorrectly in the puzzle?? (No offence to the author, just trying to figure out why...)

  6. Clematis_around_tree_cropped_12-22-2006-011Rocketkathy155 on Jun 25, 2011 07:09 PM

    Stuck on 11 too.... ???

  7. FilePepperclarencebyer on Jun 25, 2011 07:09 PM

yep, #11 is giving me trouble too!

  8. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on Jun 25, 2011 07:09 PM

    I don't know what #11 is!

  9. Cutie_jillianPeppersuzique on Jun 25, 2011 07:10 PM

Think I have them all, but can't get it to take. May I TG my answers to someone?

EDIT: Nevermind. Spelled #2 wrong as well. Oops.

  10. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jun 25, 2011 07:10 PM

I also don't know #11... Is it something peculiar to Iowa or a general term?

  11. 1a1Sailboatbodhisattva on Jun 25, 2011 07:12 PM

Can someone throw me some salt on #2

    Nevermind, post and solve!

  12. Julia20Sailboatjila58 on Jun 25, 2011 07:11 PM

[2] me too. Not too tough, all fit, all worked, not correct

  13. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jun 25, 2011 07:11 PM

    [11] If you know #11, I'll trade you. :)

  14. Pacman2EggTheOneEye on Jun 25, 2011 07:11 PM

I'll look over answers for people if they want.

I might suggest making sure you've #2 right, as it's not uncommon for people to spell it wrong

As for #11, it is not specific to Iowa.

  15. Gap_-_blue_eyesDuckiespeedgitano on Jun 25, 2011 07:17 PM

    stuck on #2

    nvm: got it

  16. Cutie_jillianPeppersuzique on Jun 25, 2011 07:12 PM

I thought #11 had something to do with U of Iowa and also thought that the clue was hinting about changing one young man into the other. But, I finally realized it's about their relationship.

  17. Hossy_lap3BananaDEBailey on Jun 25, 2011 07:12 PM

[11] If my answer is correct (still can't get number 11) think noun, not verb.

  18. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jun 25, 2011 07:13 PM

Now I feel silly... I was going with the short form of #11. It's really a pretty easy clue...

  19. Hossy_lap3BananaDEBailey on Jun 25, 2011 07:15 PM

    [18] Me, too. I forgot about the second double....and I'm a good speller :-)

  20. FilePepperclarencebyer on Jun 25, 2011 07:15 PM

Could substitute your favorite college in #11 and it would still work.

  21. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Jun 25, 2011 07:15 PM

I really liked this puzzle. My brain was really working fuzzy tonight on all the puzzles, and I had a mental breakdown on figuring one of these clues out, and a really dumb spelling mistake on another.

  22. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on Jun 25, 2011 07:16 PM

#11 I should have known this. *hit myself in the head*

  23. FileGarlicsorter on Jun 25, 2011 07:17 PM

I didn't know 11 until I got the first letter.

  24. Pb-101214-cross-eyed-9a.photoblog900_cSailboatwidedeki on Jun 25, 2011 07:24 PM

    I need 11 TG anyone?

  25. Clematis_around_tree_cropped_12-22-2006-011Rocketkathy155 on Jun 25, 2011 07:31 PM

Thanks [16] for the salt !!! Got it !!!

Until your salt, I thought they were one guy dressed differently, instead of two separate guys.

  26. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on Jun 25, 2011 07:29 PM

    [24] Sent you a TG!!

  27. Pb-101214-cross-eyed-9a.photoblog900_cSailboatwidedeki on Jun 25, 2011 07:30 PM

    #2 spelled wrong DOH!!

  28. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jun 25, 2011 07:31 PM

I think it's an interesting hyper psychology that if a couple people report a problem on a clue then everyone else who is stumped begins to think it is a hard clue and then more people jump on too and then it just spirals! We start to think we can't get it because it's hard and no one else is getting it either. Whereas if no one else said anything, we'd think it was just us, think about it some more, and probably get it.

[24] What do you call two people who share a room? It's really that simple. :)

And thanks, sammydb! This was a really clever idea and well-done.

  29. FilePepperclarencebyer on Jun 25, 2011 07:46 PM

#25, I thought the same thing...that it was what the front guy was changing into when he dressed differently, as in he changed from "him to him". Guessing that is probably what most of those that were stumped were thinking too.

  30. Avatar_959_jpg100_200x200RaspberryRocketeer on Jun 25, 2011 07:50 PM

Yep, very clever - thanks for the pule!

  31. FileSailboatfsobottka on Jun 25, 2011 10:19 PM

I don't get these. Is the picture the answer, or the clue? If number 1 was a picture of Gilligan, is that the answer or the clue to the answer?

nvm, the double letter part was throwing me...

I don't know what #2 is, but I got #11 without too much trouble... which is too bad since people are salting #11 but not #2

  33. FileEggplantblinman on Jun 25, 2011 10:34 PM

[32] You're almost begging for some salt on #2 - sorry, I can't help you.

  34. Cool_eyes3StrawberryTsunami on Jun 26, 2011 12:35 AM

Like everyone, I'm stumped on 11.

  35. My_reflection_next_to_ronnies_name_changed_by_steveSailboatdceeeee on Jun 26, 2011 06:47 AM

I just got home after being away all night. Curious why no one could provide salt for #2? Well, in case anyone is still thinking about it, think about what he IS...not what he is DOING. (Hope that helps...was gonna give another word that means the same thing, but thought that might be an 'obvious' hint...even though it's past 200 now...

  36. FileGarlicMrPlow99 on Jun 26, 2011 06:51 AM

[33] Oof, how did I not get that? Thanks.

  37. Avatar_profileOrangerckchkhwk on Jun 26, 2011 08:59 AM

Apparently quiet a few of us can't spell ;)
#2 kicked my butt as well...

  39. Clematis_around_tree_cropped_12-22-2006-011Rocketkathy155 on Jun 26, 2011 10:00 AM

[35], [33] provided salt for #2 - note that if you look through the coments, until [32] asked for salt everyone else had edited their query, on #2, with never-mind/"NM" before anyone could provide any salt, as they'd figured it out on their own... just my observation.

  40. Img_0886Appletinmanchris on Jun 26, 2011 08:42 PM

Thanks Blinman! [33] Nice and Salty.

Thanks Sammy! It was a nice touch to make all the solutions real words. You truly are a Tanga Titan.

  41. CannibalcupcakeGrapesTygress on Jun 26, 2011 09:31 PM

  42. Dumb02Garlicsammydb on Jun 27, 2011 08:55 AM
