Jul 01, 2011 Hypercross Puzzle

I'm clicking on the pictures to get a better look at the clues, and they're not blowing up to a readable size like the used to. As it stands this puzzle is basically unsolvable for me.

Edit: After fumbling around for awhile, the pictures finally started coming up. So either something got fixed or it was really slow to start loading the pics.

Nice puzzle BTW, I really liked it! Some of them were a bit challenging.

Though once I solved it, it seems like another error has creeped in to how this page displays. Now all the clues appear in the "You are a freaking genius!" area below the puzzle instead of on the right side of it. And it's really smooshed in there, too!

Pictures won't open large in firefox, but worked when I switched to IE

Can anyone else click on the grid or get the clues to open up? I can't click on anything (except this comment) and have it work.

Good tough but fair clues, my favorite kind of puzzle!

[2] - Same here - thought it was just my worthless Dell, but looks like it's a Tanga problem. I'm running Google Chrome on my PC as always.

UPDATE: eventually worked...tried multiple refreshes to no avail. then loaded fine through "play" drop down above

[2] I had that problem (Win 7, Firefox 5), but it fixed itself on reload.

This one got me a.... um... radish?

Tried Firefox and IE, neither worked.

[11] I had problems in Win 7 running Chrome, but it came up in Firefox. On another system (Win 7 Ultimate) I had no problem with Chrome, RockMelt, or anything else.

Tricky! Was almost positive #4 has an "a" in it. Took me a while to figure out that was what was wrong.

Sorry you will be inundated with problem posts, Rocketeer! The puzzle is well done. Took me to #7 to get the theme.

In both IE and FF the puzzle (and comments) are now formatted strangely on half the page.

Weird, everything is compressed into the left side of the page now. Just for the hyper though, not for the other two puzzles.

Pics didn't blow up for me at first either (running Firefox, XP). So I reloaded the page & after that, they did work. The "refresh comments" isn't working for me, though. I'm having to reload the page to see newer comments.

No, it's still all on the left side for me. Using Opera.

As [19] says, once solved, the clues and comments are compressed into the left half of the screen, and I can't scroll through the clues (though I can tab through the pictures).

Also, the "refresh comments" link seems to not work for me in FF or IE, though manual refreshing the page works.

Is the main Tanga page, as well as the main page for all the puzzles, still not working for anyone else? I can view individual puzzles and the history of previous puzzles but not the main pages. I get the "We'll be back in a jiffy" message that I've been seeing since yesterday.

Also, now that I've solved this one, it's trying to show me the clues in the same area that it says "You are a freaking genius". (I also had the error where it wouldn't enlarge the images, but that went away after a refresh while solving.)

On both FF 4.0 and IE 9 the formatting is still wrong. (Half page width)

[31] #1 is how you figure out the theme. #4 is difficult if you are shallow.

Comments are still messed up. Do not refresh and if you go to page 2 it give error. Using FF5 and Win7.

[29] I've been getting the "We'll be back in a jiffy" message, also, since late-late last night. Then, when puzzle-time came and it was still showing, I assumed no one could get in. After some time had passed, I got here through brownie1's profile, and took the link to the games from there. Right now, it seems that's my only option to get 'into' the site. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with that problem.

I'm almost glad I couldn't get in right away, as it looks like a lot of other glitches were fixed while I was 'away'. Hooray Tanga staff!! It's tough to make changes with the site open, I would think -- sort of like trying to paint a room while there's a party going on in it. :)

[54] when someone says a cus word on TV they have to 'b....' it. Here's the definition: "To edit out (spoken material) from a broadcast or recording, especially by replacing with an electronic sound." So it's her last name and the 'b' word defined above.

Got them all. Can I please get an explanation of answer for #4 (I think I understand one part but not other).
