This is my first puzzle.. as well as my first trifecta of puzzles. Hope you enjoy it!

(P.S. I'll be 1 1/2 hours late for Tanga time when these puzzles are featured. Sorry.)

  2. Rf_avatarTomatoRandiman on May 20, 2011 07:03 PM

    Very nice triplet dduensing!

  3. Images_1_Sailboathurricanechelsea on May 20, 2011 07:03 PM

    This is great!

  4. Bp3Eggendel3 on May 20, 2011 07:06 PM

Alt spelling on 15 got me....

  5. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on May 20, 2011 07:06 PM

[1] Well, you done good. I only had to look up 2 or 3 and only had to fix spelling on one (and already knew it was likely misspelled).

  6. Squirrel-275x520Sailboathomicidalsquirrel on May 20, 2011 07:06 PM

    16th and a picture of #10. Awesome.

  7. FileGarlicdharmaRN on May 20, 2011 07:07 PM

i have checked and re-checked all my spellings.... not taking!

  8. ErwinPepperTangaAl on May 20, 2011 07:08 PM

Okay, I'm wrong somewhere. Looked over it several times. Tried three or four variations of 15, but sticking with the most common Google return. Any other spelling potholes?

  9. FilePumpkinMoneypenny on May 20, 2011 07:08 PM

    [7], me too!

  10. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on May 20, 2011 07:09 PM

[4] Thanks, That was my problem too.

[7] Try any variants you can think of for #15.

  11. Phi3CornPhilana on May 20, 2011 07:09 PM

[4] Thank you! I couldn't find my error for the life of me.

  12. Christopher_david_ryan_-_eyeGarlickc6201 on May 20, 2011 07:09 PM

    [8] I had #8 spelled wrong.

  13. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on May 20, 2011 07:10 PM

Check your spelling on 15, there is no I in the first word.
And 8 has no E in the first word.

  14. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on May 20, 2011 07:11 PM

I'll give this Difficulty: ** just because of the spelling. :-/ All the words were well clued and fit together nicely.

  15. Julia20Sailboatjila58 on May 20, 2011 07:10 PM

[7, 9] me too. I found a problem, but it still won't take

  16. FileEggplantblinman on May 20, 2011 07:11 PM

Great puzzle, very well clued; got my banana!

  17. ErwinPepperTangaAl on May 20, 2011 07:11 PM

Nope, 9 is right (at least with the official game). I'm not using "I" in the first word of 15. Still not getting it.

  18. ErwinPepperTangaAl on May 20, 2011 07:11 PM

Used official spelling for 8, also.

  19. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on May 20, 2011 08:32 PM

[17] If you want to send me your words so far, I'll spellcheck for you.

...he offered, recognizing the reversal of roles compared to what is usually possible.

  20. FileTomatotlmitch7 on May 20, 2011 07:23 PM

Mine is not taking either, checked and changed 8 and 15, still no go.

edit: I had the wrong first word for 14

  21. FilePumpkinMoneypenny on May 20, 2011 07:15 PM

[13] Thanks for the specific spelling hint. Got it now.

  22. BjDuckiedrlaura92 on May 20, 2011 07:17 PM

I could swear I have them all and they are spelled correctly, but it is not taking it.
...Yes, thanks [4] that was my error as well

  23. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on May 20, 2011 07:16 PM

I'll offer spellcheck service to anyone that TGs me before half past post time.

  24. FileGarlicdharmaRN on May 20, 2011 07:17 PM

can someone TG me on the spelling of 15? Very frustrating!

  25. 6-9-06Xylophonehouck on May 20, 2011 07:17 PM

    Thanks dduensing, FUN puzzle!

...even though the spelling of one (15) drove me crazy...

and what a nice loving couple on the Leno show !!

  26. ErwinPepperTangaAl on May 20, 2011 07:23 PM

[23], I sent you my list. Thanks!

Okay, thanks, [23]! I missed the Jay Leno one. What I put it actually fit. Shouldn't have used a word that was listed in the clue.

  27. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on May 20, 2011 07:17 PM

I'll be happy to check anyone's who needs me to.

  28. Stfu_fortune_cookie-12260Bananainsta1234 on May 20, 2011 07:21 PM

The spelling is a problem on this. What am I supposed to mis spell to get it to take?

Nevermind......Its what i had to spell correctly.

  29. FileXylophoneDavmar on May 20, 2011 07:18 PM

    Good Wholesome fun!! Great clues!

  30. Avatar_profileGrapesmhollywood82 on May 20, 2011 07:19 PM

    under 100. super cool.

  31. Julia20Sailboatjila58 on May 20, 2011 07:22 PM

so, you guys that are finally getting it, what is the magic spelling error besides 8 and 15?

  32. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on May 20, 2011 07:25 PM

I know a few Electical Engineers that would spell #15 correctly.

    (Too much?)

  33. ErwinPepperTangaAl on May 20, 2011 07:24 PM

[31], and others, make sure you use the right first word for the Jay Leno clue. I used the incorrect version and it drove me nuts!

  34. FilePepperclarencebyer on May 20, 2011 07:28 PM

[33] I was just going to post the same thing. I was sure what I had was the right answer for #14 as it fit and made perfect sense. I have spent all my time checking and rechecking spellings. But it was the Jay Leno answer!

  35. FileKiwiKharing68 on May 20, 2011 07:31 PM

    #15 tripped MEE up, too!

  36. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on May 20, 2011 07:32 PM

the 84th Tanga member to solve it! Spelling tripped me up and the myster game, but still under 100! Nice one!

  37. FileCarrotmmene on May 20, 2011 07:36 PM

[32] - I needed that. And I even am an electrical engineer...

  38. OctopusPeppercomishcraig on May 20, 2011 07:42 PM

    Oh....booooooo forthe spelling on #15

  39. My_reflection_next_to_ronnies_name_changed_by_steveSailboatdceeeee on May 20, 2011 07:46 PM

Thanks [26], [33]...that was driving me NUTS!!!

  40. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on May 21, 2011 03:48 AM

Spelling for 15 =no comment *shaking head*. Other than that the puzzle was fun!

  41. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on May 20, 2011 08:00 PM

Yeah... if I could have rejiggered the grid easily, I would have. But it was too nice and compact :)

Suffice to say if you think you have them all correct but it isn't taking, try changing IE to EE in #15.

  42. MccoyAppledrbenn on May 20, 2011 08:36 PM

Think generic on clue 14. Could substitute many men or women for Leno.

  43. Tanga_shadow_goat_2-fpAceshiella on May 20, 2011 09:10 PM

arghh anybody who got it still here? i'm sure I have 15 i think I have 14 right grrr i'll go look again

  44. NewyorkerdogStrawberrykm on May 20, 2011 09:31 PM

    Good job dduensing!

  45. Tanga_profile_photoEggWhiteKnight85 on May 20, 2011 09:58 PM

[1] I thought so (that these were your first). Nicely done! Great debut!

  46. 9018_1237595932838_1017425892_754933_3355319_nKiwimaxitem on May 20, 2011 10:49 PM

  47. Blue_hillsGrapesTTICTANG on May 21, 2011 03:28 AM

I give! I have checked them all and won't take. I get here way too late for help so BYE for now.

  48. Brownie_sundaeGarlicbrownie1 on May 21, 2011 03:49 AM

[47] Send me a TG with your answers today. I'll get back to you later!

  49. FileRocketlaurelg1 on May 21, 2011 04:57 AM

I have actually never seen it spelled that way! I have seen my fair share of them lying around though! Now the electronic ones are more fun! LOL

P.S. Congrats on your debut dduensing !

  50. Pb-101214-cross-eyed-9a.photoblog900_cSailboatwidedeki on May 21, 2011 05:09 AM

[4] Thanks. That is what I needed.

  51. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on May 21, 2011 06:45 AM

FWIW, I first spelled #15 with IE but, for whatever reason, knew that it was "really" spelled EE. Or strongly suspected that it was. So when it didn't take, I immediately tried that and got it solved. If you google it with an IE, the first hit (for me at least) is the wikipedia page which spells it EE.

Regarding #14, I can only assume that people are taking into account the time of day when giving that guy a title. The answer could have also described Oprah while she still had a show.

  52. SavethewordscopySailboatWordoPhile on May 21, 2011 11:53 AM

    [51] THANK YOU!!
that Oprah clue did it for me :)

  53. 9018_1237595932838_1017425892_754933_3355319_nKiwimaxitem on May 21, 2011 04:12 PM

[51] Yup that #14 is what got me at first. Oprah, Regis, Ellen, Lettermen, Ferguson, etc...

  54. Avatar_profilePeachgnext2 on May 21, 2011 10:26 PM

spelling on 15 got me, both come up on google

  55. Avatar_profileOrangeDaisyK on May 21, 2011 11:41 PM

Thank you [10] and [4]. That what was stopping me.

  56. Avatar_profileAppleBarry1214 on May 22, 2011 01:31 AM

[25] is that the wife or the mistress?

Yeah, #15 is spelled "wrong" or at least I never saw it that way.

  57. Img_0886Appletinmanchris on May 22, 2011 12:45 PM

Thanks [33] and [53]. #14 has nothing to do with the actual program... just the type of program.
