This is my first puzzle.. as well as my first trifecta of puzzles. Hope you enjoy it!
(P.S. I'll be 1 1/2 hours late for Tanga time when these puzzles are featured. Sorry.)
Very nice triplet dduensing!
This is great!
Alt spelling on 15 got me....
[1] Well, you done good. I only had to look up 2 or 3 and only had to fix spelling on one (and already knew it was likely misspelled).
16th and a picture of #10. Awesome.
i have checked and re-checked all my spellings.... not taking!
Okay, I'm wrong somewhere. Looked over it several times. Tried three or four variations of 15, but sticking with the most common Google return. Any other spelling potholes?
[7], me too!
[4] Thanks, That was my problem too.
[7] Try any variants you can think of for #15.
[4] Thank you! I couldn't find my error for the life of me.
[8] I had #8 spelled wrong.
Check your spelling on 15, there is no I in the first word.
And 8 has no E in the first word.
I'll give this Difficulty: ** just because of the spelling. :-/ All the words were well clued and fit together nicely.
[7, 9] me too. I found a problem, but it still won't take
Great puzzle, very well clued; got my banana!
Nope, 9 is right (at least with the official game). I'm not using "I" in the first word of 15. Still not getting it.
Used official spelling for 8, also.
[17] If you want to send me your words so far, I'll spellcheck for you.
...he offered, recognizing the reversal of roles compared to what is usually possible.
Mine is not taking either, checked and changed 8 and 15, still no go.
edit: I had the wrong first word for 14
[13] Thanks for the specific spelling hint. Got it now.
I could swear I have them all and they are spelled correctly, but it is not taking it.
...Yes, thanks [4] that was my error as well
I'll offer spellcheck service to anyone that TGs me before half past post time.
can someone TG me on the spelling of 15? Very frustrating!
Thanks dduensing, FUN puzzle!
...even though the spelling of one (15) drove me crazy...
and what a nice loving couple on the Leno show !!
[23], I sent you my list. Thanks!
Okay, thanks, [23]! I missed the Jay Leno one. What I put it actually fit. Shouldn't have used a word that was listed in the clue.
I'll be happy to check anyone's who needs me to.
The spelling is a problem on this. What am I supposed to mis spell to get it to take?
Nevermind......Its what i had to spell correctly.
Good Wholesome fun!! Great clues!
under 100. super cool.
so, you guys that are finally getting it, what is the magic spelling error besides 8 and 15?
I know a few Electical Engineers that would spell #15 correctly.
(Too much?)
[31], and others, make sure you use the right first word for the Jay Leno clue. I used the incorrect version and it drove me nuts!
[33] I was just going to post the same thing. I was sure what I had was the right answer for #14 as it fit and made perfect sense. I have spent all my time checking and rechecking spellings. But it was the Jay Leno answer!
#15 tripped MEE up, too!
the 84th Tanga member to solve it! Spelling tripped me up and the myster game, but still under 100! Nice one!
[32] - I needed that. And I even am an electrical engineer...
Oh....booooooo forthe spelling on #15
Thanks [26], [33]...that was driving me NUTS!!!
Spelling for 15 =no comment *shaking head*. Other than that the puzzle was fun!
Yeah... if I could have rejiggered the grid easily, I would have. But it was too nice and compact :)
Suffice to say if you think you have them all correct but it isn't taking, try changing IE to EE in #15.
Think generic on clue 14. Could substitute many men or women for Leno.
arghh anybody who got it still here? i'm sure I have 15 i think I have 14 right grrr i'll go look again
Good job dduensing!
[1] I thought so (that these were your first). Nicely done! Great debut!
My ie is ee... but still no go...orz
EDIT: nm..got it...darn #14, lol
I give! I have checked them all and won't take. I get here way too late for help so BYE for now.
[47] Send me a TG with your answers today. I'll get back to you later!
I have actually never seen it spelled that way! I have seen my fair share of them lying around though! Now the electronic ones are more fun! LOL
P.S. Congrats on your debut dduensing !
[4] Thanks. That is what I needed.
FWIW, I first spelled #15 with IE but, for whatever reason, knew that it was "really" spelled EE. Or strongly suspected that it was. So when it didn't take, I immediately tried that and got it solved. If you google it with an IE, the first hit (for me at least) is the wikipedia page which spells it EE.
Regarding #14, I can only assume that people are taking into account the time of day when giving that guy a title. The answer could have also described Oprah while she still had a show.
[51] THANK YOU!!
that Oprah clue did it for me :)
[51] Yup that #14 is what got me at first. Oprah, Regis, Ellen, Lettermen, Ferguson, etc...
spelling on 15 got me, both come up on google
Thank you [10] and [4]. That what was stopping me.
[25] is that the wife or the mistress?
Yeah, #15 is spelled "wrong" or at least I never saw it that way.
Thanks [33] and [53]. #14 has nothing to do with the actual program... just the type of program.
