Very nicely clued, DaSaintMan!! I needed to look quite a few up, but still very nice puzzle!
No clue on #11. Got all the others.
Edit: got it. Finally found the right member of the genus.
[2] same... any help for #11?
EDIT: ugh, really AWFUL clue for #11. like [5] said, it's not weasel or mink.
[2][3] Yeah, me too. The rest of the puzzle is great. But that one, no clue. What's the first image? Soup? Stew? Chowder?
My Bing-ing fingers are tired.
[3], it's NOT weasel or stoat, it's an ...
[2,3] You could make a nice coat out of that little guy...
Only had to look up two of them: #2 (never saw it), and #6 (Was certain it was SPECTRE for a while)
Ok, so #11 is just bad. There were three of us in this room trying to figure it out after rocking on the rest of it. If you Google the genus you get weasel, which isn't right as [5] pointed out. And then to top it off, the phonetics are off anyway. Which is too bad because the rest of the puzzle rocked!
The spelling on 14 got me - and I had to google most of the rest.
Soup weasel? WTF?
Edit: would have been better to also show the little tails in a fur coat, or be more specific about the genus AND species...
Needed to look up most of these, but still quite fun.
Yeah, #11 was a little tough - but gettable. Overall, great puzzle, I liked it!
Had to look up almost every single answer
Fun. I never did figure out the "weasel" clue for #11, by the time I got to it I had enough letters to get it from the first picture and expand that syllable according to the theme.
I got the theme right away (well, on the 2nd clue - I guessed wrong on the theme after looking at the first one). As many others have said, 11 was probably the toughest one. Overall a good puzzle, thanks for making it!
I think the animal in #11 is the only thing I didn't have to google :) I knew all the first parts (they were well clued) almost none of the second. Fun one DaSaintFan!!!
[15] Me too. I went with the sidekick for #1 and then by clue 3 or 4 had figured out I must have #1 wrong...
I didn't have to google any of the clues, but I only knew a couple of the answers without looking them up. And THEN my son walked in and started rattling them off. Ugh!
Uggg....Too much to look up. Some have so many it's hard to find out what you're cluing for when you havevn't actually given a single clue about the answer. Many of your clues have many different options. #6 for example.
I didn't know that #14 had a real name; I thought it was just an adjective. Good job DeSaintFan!
BTW, I loved #11.
so painful....so very painful.....
Absolutely clueless on #11. I think I have the animal right, based on the article used in [5], and I assume what's in the bowl is obvious...
Got all but #2. Can I please get salt for this.
[23] Wiki has a good page on what we're looking for in this puzzle...
[24] thanks but I need salt to know which wiki page I need for #2:-) Once I get there I know what to do (I can do same as what I did for others)
Nice puzzle, except I too can not figure out #11. I have the cute little animal, but I still don't see the answer.
Edit: Finally, I got #11, definitely a stretch, but I got it, by process of elimination.
[25] Hmm... not sure how to help you with that. There is a clue between the pen and Einstein that you might be missing, if that helps...
[10] LOL! I thought the same thing!
I agree. #11 was a bit off on the phonetics, but my being a big geek definitely helped on this one.
Well, darn. I finally got #11 with comment and TG help (thanks, dmlafrance!), but something's not taking. :-(
Edit: Got it... Was spelling 14 wrong.
[30] If you want to send me your answers, I can check them.
Loved the cluing; didn't care for all the Googling. Had to look up about half.
#11 didn't trip me up because I jumped to the answer based on the first pic & the cross letters fit. But looking back, I can see why people had trouble with it.
Oh my god... none of my answers would fit... I was getting so mad... until I red the title lol. Nice puzzle. Well clued!
#3 has me stumped. I cannot figure out what a rabid teapot writer means.
[18] So you're saying you'd be better off having your son help you on a more regular basis?
[34] You need another word for the first picture. And you need to use just one word for the last picture.
[35] That was it. I was over-thinking the last picture. Thanks!
Not able to get #2 yet. Can I please get a salty TG for step 1 for #2.
Edit: Got a TG and was able to close this.
#11 threw me at first too; finally guessed it from the first clue.
Could not think of who #4 would be, and finally had to turn to Google...and then of course came the "well, duh" moment. Who else would it have been?
Anyone still around to give me salt on #14?
[40] Beep Beep
I go looney tunes when I can't finish the puzzle :(
Finally stopped looking at #11s clues and instead used the theme and the two given letters to easily solve.
You are a freaking genius!! You solved this puzzle.

I agree, #11 was horribly clued.
Someone please explain to me how [11] even made the hero that I was looking for? I get the first half, but I am lost on what the second half was supposed to be. Wiki gave me the answer but ahh
Hmm, looks like I'm in the minority, I liked Clue 11.
Fun puzzle (once you get to clue 15!)
Wow! Agree with what all is saying about #11. It wasn't very well clued. But the rest of the puzzle was fun!
I had trouble with 2 not eleven. Women know furs.
I liked clue 11, too. Say the first part of the clue out loud (the simplest term for what's pictured), and based on context, the rest of it should just sort of fall out of your mouth!
I'm with several of the others: I could understand what was being clued, but I had to use my trusty friend Wikipedia for nearly all of the puzzle answers. Still, that took only a couple minutes. Fun!
Arg! #8 was very frustrating. I've read the book and know enough to know that the monster doesn't have a first name. I eventually searched a crossword puzzle solver with my two vowels and found a word that reminded of a name I thought might exist. I then discovered that this clue has two references to television from decades before I was born. It's fine when clues use an "OR", but the two options should hit different audiences.
[50] LOL - I will agree only that those clues could have perhaps been tagged to give you something to Google, but... those two clues DO hit different audiences, neither one of which happen to be you, who must be in your early 20s.
The Pee-Wee guy on the left is from the eighties, which is during my lifetime. The guy on the right is from The Munsters, which aired in the 60s, which is before my lifetime. So, easily two different audiences.
I need some salt for #14, I believe it just what is pictured and if I am right I can think of no one that fits the theme and the letters present. I have all of the rest. Thanks
nm, #41 clued me in. Thanks
Spelling on #14 got me for a bit, until I read [9] - Thanks!
I found the clue for 2 to be much harder to figure out than 11. I kept on trying to put Albert or Einstein in the clue.
Also, I thought the pen was over the shape of a state - I'm from CA, and the only thing I know about the north eastern states is that they're small and oddly shaped.
Good lord, I had to look almost all of these up.
Ridiculous.
Tough one. Not a big comic book fan or movie buff. Had to look almost all of them up.
We loved #11. Just think of the theme and then different names for the first picture that also fit the beginning names of characters in the theme. Then do the same thing you did to solve all the others :) Wish we we had been here last night....
I didn't have any trouble with #11 either but I did have to look up a bunch of these, even #3 because I couldn't figure out why the answer I had wasn't long enough. Forgot about his title. The only ones I knew were 1, 4, 8, 12, and 14. I knew 10 and 11 but my brain wasn't working fast enough.
not a bad puzzle, but i do agree with other posters....some of these had many options....
