edit: [2] Me too. That's part of what I thought was so cool. I didn't figure out what was going on until the last clue. And then it still took some figuring to get it all right.
I got it on the fox clue. Still, for some reason I was slow on all of the puzzles tonight. Maybe I've been participating in activities that degrade my intelligence. I was watching the Republican debate prior to the puzzles. Hmm...
started out feeling dumb as a door nail but then finally made to smart as a whip... ok, maybe smart as a 5th grader. really loved the puzzle... being so lost for so long and finally figuring it out. really great.
A day later and this one still makes the same amount of sense to me... zilch. Can't for the life of me find what you're supposed to do with each clue. Even working with the last clue (since it's the most specific) I don't find anything that fits.
(Edit: Finally had the "aha moment." For anyone that was going down the same road I was... if you're thinking movies, just stop.)
I really liked this one. been a long time since I've heard many of these. I don't think they use as many idioms in the north - don't think a day passes in the south without hearing one. #12 took me a bit couldn't shake dumb from my head lol
I thought of a theme by #4 then confirmed it on #5 but now that I have all the answers, the site won't admit I'm a freaking genius! I may need someone to review my answers and tell me where I am as wrong as rain...
I don't know that I've heard #19 quite that way before. When I had that answer and cats, it involved the feline with an extensive appendage in a room full of rocking chairs. :)
Very nice!

Took me a while to catch onto this one.
Took me a while to get the theme, then most of them came as easy as pie.
Nice puzzle! Very clever! Thanks for making me think!
i'm clueless. I think it has something to do with cats (and ice cream?)
Very happy with 3rd!
[5] No. I had to look some of these up. For each one, I Googled what was pictured plus two words.
Fun one! And now one that I can cross off my 'Tanga puzzle ideas' list : ).

Thanks dagibbs. That put me on the right track. 114th. Thanks for the puzzle, jargonista. It was slick as a whistle, once I figured out the theme.
Sigh... went in the wrong direction first -- and once I'd figured it out I had to google for the answers -- as [7] did.
Nice Aha moment.
wow - I feel like I'm moving slow as tar tonight! Like [7] I had to google almost all of them in the same way.
[10] I'm happy as a clam to have helped.
Very fun once I caught on!

Great fun!
I took the title literally, and thought #12 was "chevy"
Heard of all these except for #1
Wow...took me forever for the theme to "click" in my head...but it suddenly dawned on me..duh lol Fun puzzle!
#14 is suppose to be a poker the way I remember it.
nice aha moment...
Very nice hyper. I especially liked the last clue.
Thanks to the "clues" above which helped me find the correct format to solve the clues of the puzzle. Great fun and challenging.

Loved this puzzle!
Fun after my brain finally wrapped around it. Thanks!

This is the 1st Hypercross puzzle on here that I didn't really care for. Sorry. Just my opinion I guess.
I really enjoyed this one! It was as fun as a barrell of monkeys! LOL

Well, i know the last one, with the cat on the roof. Are they all classic sayings ?
After long deliberation of what it was even about, i got most of them with the help of a friend, but still stuck on a few...
