Is there a "The" missing in #5?

  2. UturnPotatoSmithyP on Feb 01, 2012 07:12 PM

#13 has another valid answer and it kept me from doing better than 46th, Grr...

  3. HurdansmallGarlicdeg on Feb 01, 2012 07:13 PM

    Nice puzzle sonjahi!
I was confused by #6 for a while - I thought it was coffee, which implies a different word that also fits.
Then I woke up and .... but enough said because I don't want to .....

[1] Ha-ha! Good catch. Arnott changed out my picture and I failed to notice that he didn't put a "the" in there. You are right and I just uploaded a fix.

  5. Nick_dress_blues_2Pancakesbitwisenot on Feb 01, 2012 07:33 PM

[4] Yeah, I thought the missing "the" was intentional so I was trying (unsuccessfully) to come up with something that didn't use a "the" I was finally able to get it when I got both crossing letters.

Dang it! Got stuck on #3! Liked this one though! Fun!

    Enjoyed this one.

That's a pretty tough type of hyper. It makes it hard when you don't actually clue the answer.

  9. Panda-flyGarlicpandapal on Feb 01, 2012 08:54 PM

Took me forever to get the theme, and even then it was tough. Great hyper!

I have no clue what's going on in this one....can't figure out a single one. Just not my night I guess.

[1][4] Argghh, sorry to all, but especially Sonjahi. I will TAKE THE HIT. That was my mistake, not hers.

    Helps to VERBalize this one.

    I really enjoyed the puzzle.

I was cruising along until I hit #11, and couldn't make anything fit with "hoop". I got STOPped by #13 for a minute, but figured it out..

    Well done!

  14. FilePlumMCGBishop on Feb 02, 2012 08:24 AM

[14] I thought it was "hoop" for awhile as well! I am still stuck on #3! Love the puzzle, though!

Finally got #3! Woohoo! Love that "aha!" moment!

Any help on 10, 11, and 15? please?

  16. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Feb 02, 2012 08:50 AM

    [16]
#10: That is a male deer and the phrase is something that bad politicians (or any bad leaders) might do.

#11: You need not just the name of the object but the part of the object pointed at (the picture is cluing 4 words).

#15: The verb rhymes with the singular form of the clued noun and the phrase is something that bad accountants might do.

Apparently I must have been a bug up somebody's ass since my comment was erased.

Clever and fun! These are so hard to do on an iPad though. All the other kinds of puzzles are much easier. But, it's so worth starting over....again.

not sure about the bottle? my answers won't take.

  21. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Feb 03, 2012 09:53 AM

[19] *shrug* I dunno - I never saw it. I think it takes 3 people to flag a comment before it vanishes? I suppose an admin could yank it but moderators don't have that authority.

[21] You can send me your list if you'd like. The bottle references a childhood game.

  22. Avatar_profilePotatoMemsochet on Feb 03, 2012 11:54 AM

    (22) Thanks for the reference. I just wasn't OPEN to that thought process.

  23. FileBananadanjuwise1 on Feb 03, 2012 09:22 PM

It took me way too long to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Only took me...24+ hours.. LOL Great "aha" moment.
