stuck on the train
Oooh, first! Though it certainly took a little bit of dictionary searching (the two longest down ones, in particular).
got it
Fun, but some I got by figuring out what fit as opposed to using the picture.
still stuck on the train here
Wow, never heard of that as a color....maybe a bowling ball... but not a color...
any salt for that train?
Look at the logo for the railroad and the engine number...start there
nm, I got it... I had to go to an alternate list for choices and the bowling ball comment helped...
Thanks!
I could use a drink about now, but now sure what it is. :)
I think bowling pins would have gotten it faster than train.
[8] Even _with_ that hint _and_ having gotten the answer with a crossword solver, I still don't understand the clue.
Any help with the liquor? I've tried searching every combination of green liquor I can think of and I get nothing.
[13] a French liqueur
[11] That would miss the point. [8] was close but instead of the engine number, search the logo and the puzzle theme.
[13] Try liqueur.
[12] Our Canadian friends from a specific province got it right away.
I recognize that comic -- sort of, but not in a way that I could name it.
And for Pete's sake... half meg $#@! PNG files again?
Finally found a reference for that darn train. Now I understand the bowling hint - it didn't help me (although a pool table might have helped!).
I usually would give up on an obscure one like that but it was the only one I was missing and I hate leaving a puzzle when I'm that close.
At first I didn't recognize the girl in the pink dress and they only shade that came to mind from looking at the picture was "pear".
Man, this puzzle made me feel a bit something around the gills. Like I wasn't a veteran. Like I was envious of those who had already solved it...
Oh, and to save all you image hunters out there, that train's not from the RPR but rather the PRR. Which I should have guessed from the shape of the logo...
Any salt on the girl in the pink dress? I have no clue who she is.

might help with the train.
[21]She is the daughter of a metal legend.
[21] Daddy's the "Prince of BLEEP-ing Darkness."
I had no idea who the cartoon character is/was. Took a guess based on the theme.
Wow... some of these left me feeling more blue than anything, though I must say I've always wondered exactly what that liqueur looked like.
Don't think I could get this one without salt. Lotta hard pictures to recognize. But thanks for crossing a lot of the words more than once.
I'm stuck on the train.
I ended up taking a guess on the girl in pink. As it turns out, I have a cousin with that first name. (And her last name--as is mine--is, as it turns out, Green.)
[20] No _wonder_ my images searches were coming up nil!
As I said, the comic looked familiar, but left absolutely nothing for me to search on.
It's called PvP
woo hoo!!
Wow. Most clues were searchable, but that webcomic one is pretty much impossible for anyone not familiar with it (like me). Thanks [31].
the girl in the dress we are supposed to know how? I solved it, but still...
The girls I got by theme words that fit the spaces. The train? Required the suggestion by [15].
And there's a certain irony to [16]'s comment related to my not getting it for so long.
