    stuck on the train

  2. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Nov 02, 2007 07:10 PM

Oooh, first! Though it certainly took a little bit of dictionary searching (the two longest down ones, in particular).

  3. FilePeachstormthearmada on Nov 02, 2007 07:13 PM

    got it

  4. FileGarlicHope2002 on Nov 02, 2007 07:21 PM

Fun, but some I got by figuring out what fit as opposed to using the picture.

  5. FileDuckienrkii on Nov 02, 2007 07:22 PM

still stuck on the train here

  6. FileTomatobcgrote on Nov 02, 2007 07:23 PM

Wow, never heard of that as a color....maybe a bowling ball... but not a color...

  7. FileDuckienrkii on Nov 02, 2007 07:29 PM

    any salt for that train?

  8. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Nov 02, 2007 07:30 PM

Look at the logo for the railroad and the engine number...start there

  9. FileDuckienrkii on Nov 02, 2007 07:31 PM

nm, I got it... I had to go to an alternate list for choices and the bowling ball comment helped...

    Thanks!

  10. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Nov 02, 2007 07:32 PM

I could use a drink about now, but now sure what it is. :)

  11. AvatarApplebagherra on Nov 02, 2007 07:38 PM

I think bowling pins would have gotten it faster than train.

  12. FilePepperdajagr on Nov 02, 2007 07:53 PM

[8] Even _with_ that hint _and_ having gotten the answer with a crossword solver, I still don't understand the clue.

  13. FileRocketfeydjm on Nov 02, 2007 08:02 PM

Any help with the liquor? I've tried searching every combination of green liquor I can think of and I get nothing.

  14. FileAcegameczar on Nov 02, 2007 08:06 PM

    [13] a French liqueur

  15. FileRocketBearcat89 on Nov 02, 2007 08:10 PM

[11] That would miss the point. [8] was close but instead of the engine number, search the logo and the puzzle theme.
    [13] Try liqueur.

  16. FileAcegameczar on Nov 02, 2007 08:09 PM

[12] Our Canadian friends from a specific province got it right away.

  17. FilePumpkinJohn on Nov 02, 2007 08:16 PM

I recognize that comic -- sort of, but not in a way that I could name it.

And for Pete's sake... half meg $#@! PNG files again?

  18. FileDuckiedavey3 on Nov 02, 2007 08:50 PM

Finally found a reference for that darn train. Now I understand the bowling hint - it didn't help me (although a pool table might have helped!).

I usually would give up on an obscure one like that but it was the only one I was missing and I hate leaving a puzzle when I'm that close.

At first I didn't recognize the girl in the pink dress and they only shade that came to mind from looking at the picture was "pear".

  20. FileSailboatIlta on Nov 02, 2007 10:30 PM

Man, this puzzle made me feel a bit something around the gills. Like I wasn't a veteran. Like I was envious of those who had already solved it...

Oh, and to save all you image hunters out there, that train's not from the RPR but rather the PRR. Which I should have guessed from the shape of the logo...

  21. 1491149327467c274f38542GrapesKickTheSky on Nov 02, 2007 11:04 PM

Any salt on the girl in the pink dress? I have no clue who she is.

  22. FilePumpkinjeffg on Nov 02, 2007 11:28 PM

    http://www.steamlocomotive.com/GG1/
    might help with the train.

  23. Avatar_profileStrawberryhoratio80 on Nov 03, 2007 12:19 AM

[21]She is the daughter of a metal legend.

  24. Club_liverpoolAppleJLRobert on Nov 03, 2007 01:34 AM

    [21] Daddy's the "Prince of BLEEP-ing Darkness."

  25. Avatar_profileGrapesScotty125 on Nov 03, 2007 02:05 AM

I had no idea who the cartoon character is/was. Took a guess based on the theme.

  26. FileAppleTWhitsett on Nov 03, 2007 05:33 AM

Wow... some of these left me feeling more blue than anything, though I must say I've always wondered exactly what that liqueur looked like.

  27. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Nov 03, 2007 07:09 AM

Don't think I could get this one without salt. Lotta hard pictures to recognize. But thanks for crossing a lot of the words more than once.

  28. FileAppleboop on Nov 03, 2007 07:22 AM

    I'm stuck on the train.

  29. FilePepperdajagr on Nov 03, 2007 10:11 AM

I ended up taking a guess on the girl in pink. As it turns out, I have a cousin with that first name. (And her last name--as is mine--is, as it turns out, Green.)

  30. FilePepperdajagr on Nov 03, 2007 10:16 AM

[20] No _wonder_ my images searches were coming up nil!

  31. FilePumpkinJohn on Nov 03, 2007 11:28 AM

As I said, the comic looked familiar, but left absolutely nothing for me to search on.

    It's called PvP

  32. OtakuavatarPeachalysedai on Nov 03, 2007 12:52 PM

    woo hoo!!

  33. FilePlumlseelba on Nov 07, 2007 07:17 PM

Wow. Most clues were searchable, but that webcomic one is pretty much impossible for anyone not familiar with it (like me). Thanks [31].

  34. Aug080195Eggplantgusssr on Mar 20, 2010 02:09 PM

the girl in the dress we are supposed to know how? I solved it, but still...

  35. FileSailboatmbumby on Feb 22, 2012 02:14 PM

The girls I got by theme words that fit the spaces. The train? Required the suggestion by [15].
And there's a certain irony to [16]'s comment related to my not getting it for so long.
