Very nice grid! And I like how you were able to make us prove we knew the theme with that final answer. I was tickled that I figured out the theme before I got to the end. :)
Cute!!! Like!!!!
Loved the puzzle, but #13 was a little misleading. Despite the fact that the Dodge emblem appears to be large and therefore an important clue, it is irrelevant. I needed to think much more generically to get the right words. Maybe it was just me.
Edit: Thanks for removing the Dodge emblem. It was really quite large and misleading. Now the focus is where it should be. :)
What is #9 supposed to be? I found a map of that area but I don't understand what I am supposed to do. Any help?
Nevermind. After I posted I realized what the first word was and it came to me.
[4] Well, it's a man-made object.
[4] Yeah, the big map is kind of confusing. Look at the smaller inset map if you're having trouble.
My answers weren't taking despite checking spellings multiple times. I had copied the answer to #6 from a search since I was unsure of the spelling. Turns out the version I copied contained the accent mark in the second word and I had to replace it with a regular 'e' before it would take. Another 'Tanga' lesson learned!
[3] I don't even see a Dodge emblem... Maybe she changed the image since then. At any rate, a full understanding of the theme (it's more than just that indicated by the last clue) would probably rule out whatever word you were trying to use there.
Having trouble with #10 the only space thing I know about in Florida doesn't fit.
Excuse me I meant #8
Had to look up the quarter, kept guessing presidents...duh! And I'm not a broadway fan, so Rent totally had to be googled. Good puzzle, the clues weren't too obscure, which I like: )
*sigh* I think I have all the answers, they all follow the rule, but something won't take.
#9 is kicking my a** :(
[9] You are looking for where the space shuttle (and other rockets) are launched, not "Kennedy Space Center". It's also a term for that general geographic area.
[12] I'll check your list if you'd like.
[13] What's the only way to pass by boat from the Atlantic to the Pacific without sailing all the way around the bottom of South America?
Well it's not... OMG! #7! It really is! Where's Brownie?
[14], thanks, tangagram sent.
everything fits but It still says I am wrong :(.
Never mind I misspelled something.
(17) That happened to me too, but it's cause I was making #2 plural instead of single.
