aargh - got all but the bee
EDIT: Thanks, [4], I should definitely have gotten that one. Good puzzle!
Awesome puzzle - six stars
got it!
this one was fun and easy once you figure out the idea.
bee word is a verb
Neat concept!
Yeah, this was very nicely done (shame about the long down one not quite working the same way).
Not bad. Y'know, there's no limit on the number of answers you can put into a hypercross, so I might've added a few more while you're on a roll here. And I agree, the long one down should've been more clever (tomato character + pickle + N--something like that?).
Incidentally, the one with 2000lbs. is not John Waite. :)
I don't get it, the last names fit in some, but not others, what am I missing?
never mind, I got it
I'm definitely missing something here. I've figured out all the names, but can't figure out how to fit them in. Maybe I'm just tired.
[7] It's nothing to do with TUNNEL either :)
Who is the man in the black and white photo?
Any help with the candies? I'm stuck on that one.
I would like some salt on the photo as well.
i have all but the m&m's
The guy in the black & white photo is known for politically charged music, but not submarines.
Thanks
Thanx
Any help at all on the candies?
[15] Try saying your answer aloud without the "S"
ok, got it
have all but the 2000 lb. ANy salt
Nice. Gary Lee Weinrib and Alex Zivojinovich would approve.
never mind. I said it out loud and got it
I dont get the theme at all.
I get the names but don't know how to make them fit.
[22] Is that 2000 lb. weight special in any way?
unilab98
you and me both...help?
Didn't care for this one. To inside for me.
Can someone give a little salt?
Please
What's the one with the toilet and the bobcat on the mountain?
cougar?
[31] Use a slang term for the toilet, and another name for the mountain lion.
[32][33] Thanks guys. What about the black and white photo?
[30] Marion Morrison sounds a little sissy to you, no?
I know all the nams except the photo but they do not fit in the blanks.....HELP!?!??! or atleast a hint :)
[35] Read my comment in 34.
A lot of the names need an extra letter.
No one has said where this comes from.
[37] Read [34].
Can someone pls salt the black and white photo man?
Well I'm not geting it. For example the bottom one across. I got the clue, but this does not have an extra letter.
[39] Did you even wiki marion morrison?
2000 lb, look at the shape of the black background too. That tripped me up a bit first. Toilet is used same way as in another clue.
my first posted crossword, hope it was enjoyable. I know I had fun putting it together. Oh yeah, and my screen name is somewhat fitting for this puzzle.
I wont give any other clues, as there are plenty of others who can help.
[42] tuneloon I like ur puzzle, but for the life of me I have no idea who the black and white dude is. Can u salt me pls?
[40] ok fine. I didn't because I thought I knew the name. I see now that I didn't know it , but I should have.
I'll try this again. Thanks.
[43] he wrote Jimi Hendix's only top 40 single.
[45] OMG that's ___ _____?!?!?!? WOW. I've heard OF him, but never heard any of his music or seen him.
[46] You should give him a listen. Probably one of the greatest modern songwriters. My wife doesn't like to listen to him, cuz his voice isn't easy on the ears, but she likes his songs, especially when someone else is singing them!
Lol yes, that's one of the things about being young. I grew up listening to the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys and then Britney.
any common misspelling? I checked each answer twice but still not right.
[49] Read [34].
I got the theme of the puzzle and have everything filled out. But something is not quite right.
[51] Wikipedia gave me all the correct spellings. Try double-checking?
[48] The times, they are a-changin'.
Wow, I knew almost all of these except DB. It defintely helps to be old.
Wow, I am kind of stunned. I consider the guy in the black and white photo the greatest artist of the last 50 years, and that is an iconic photo of him. Just spent a couple of hours (again) talking about him last night. And some of you don't even recognize him?
Very nice puzzle, by the way. Once I got the theme (which that guy made me realize), I got most of them straight off.
One thing about the black and white photo guy--he ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more. (maybe because he senses that a hard rain's a-gonna fall)
Okay. That was not only fun, but allowed me to expend all the trivia I had in my head. The only one I had to look up was the second left down, as I had never actually bothered to find out.
I'm just not getting the 2000 lbs and toilet What era is this person from? I know what 2000 pounds is also known as and I'm assuming the toilet has the same use from the bobcat one, but all I get is a place where you put prisoners in a castle.
EDIT: And never mind...shapes are hard....(duh)
[32] Oh, thank you so much. I needed that hardcore.
This was a great puzzle, one of my favs so far!
I was trying to figure out what the bottom picture was (the one between the Italian statue and the video game player), and one of my favorite Hunky Dory songs came on the iTunes! Seriously--what a co-inky-dink!

Dang! I got them all but it wouldn't save it. How come?
[62] Tanga.com rejects every 100th person who submits the correct answers. I'm sorry, but it seems that today was just not your day. Try the new puzzle tonight and see if your luck improves.
:)
I have everything but the cat. I have the toilet part of it, I think. I can't think of any famous people that would fit. Salt?
Other names for the cat are
mountain lion, puma, panther...
[65] Thanks, looked at wiki again. I guess I'm too young to know him by his old name.
A definite wikifest, but a fun one. I was proud to know four of them without looking them up!

I learned something very interesting about F.M. Thanks!
It took me two hours to see the stupid arrow next to freddy (not freddie) krueger....arrrgghhhh, otherwise nice puzzle
