the misspelling on the Y clue was unfortunate, but otherwise a good puzzle

Cute (and fun!), but as others have noted, one of the Y clues is misspelled. It's definitely fixable without re-writing the rest of the puzzle, at least.

for the Q, what's another word for "prohibit"?
mnemonica
Posted on Fri Nov 09, 2007 08:11 PM |
q salt, sort of: The word clued by "prohibited" has a different vowel sound than the answer. Edit: Oh yeah, and it would be better clued by "prohibit."

Does the Q answer end with N owing to the misspelling in the Y clue?

any hint on the mis-spelling? maybe what letter is wrong? Is the letter duplicated? is it transposed? Is it an extra letter? a letter missing? please....

Loved it! Six stars.
[29] There's an H that doesn't belong

Ahh - That additional "H" was unfortunate in the "Y" answer.

Posted on Sat Nov 10, 2007 06:29 PM |
not sure but i believe "L" is also misspelled. I think it is spelled with a V istead of what is there.

Still no idea on the Q or Y words....
EDIT: Got the Y word... finally understood all the salt on misspelling. For those still needing salt... say what is pictured as you did for the other words. Then when you think you've got the word, add an "H".
Still stuck on the Q word.
EDIT: Got the Q word by looking up the answer. I think the clue isn't quite accurate since "prohibited" isn't exactly a synonym for the answer. Maybe a picture of a roll-on deodorant?
