  17. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Oct 28, 2007 07:45 PM

    [9] threehojos
    It's not really jan brady.
and it's not just a pda - it's well connected

  18. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:46 PM

I know all but the Brady and the Rock. I'll gladly trade answers...

  19. FileTomatobcgrote on Oct 28, 2007 07:47 PM

    lol, cute puzzle!

The lift is useful in fruit trees

The rock does make nice pie, it's soft!

  20. Avatar_12-08Pancakesthreehojos on Oct 28, 2007 07:48 PM

Thanks leadfoot - got the "brady" one

  21. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Oct 28, 2007 07:49 PM

"The lift is useful in fruit trees" and also for telephone pole workers

  22. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:49 PM

I got the brady... now for the rock...

    HELP

  23. FileRadishmhuber on Oct 28, 2007 07:51 PM

I'm stuck on the rock..the pie hint is not helping

  24. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:51 PM

Soft and pie doesn't really help me with the rock.

I need a way to search for the type of rock. Most everything to make a pie with is soft...

  25. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 07:51 PM

the manlift one...must be an East Coast thing... I've always known the answer as a tool for auto work.

  26. Chain_bunnyEggIrrenarzt on Oct 28, 2007 07:52 PM

No clue on most of there. I guessed a few of them, but that's it.

  27. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:53 PM

No the lift is pretty universal, as I have heard the term used from Phoeniz, AZ to Milwaukee, WI

  28. FileBananamcsemcclain on Oct 28, 2007 07:53 PM

thx guys.....on the rock, i figured out the key.

  29. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:53 PM

I have all but one... no way to guess the rock.

  30. FilePeachdiehard4life on Oct 28, 2007 07:54 PM

I know the key... but still won't know how to search for a rock with a fruit name...

  31. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Oct 28, 2007 07:55 PM

think of another name for a rock...

  32. FileRocketBearcat89 on Oct 28, 2007 07:58 PM

A magazine for an AK-47 would have worked in place of the "comb".

  33. Avatar_12-08Pancakesthreehojos on Oct 28, 2007 08:00 PM

    Damn rock...

  34. FileRadishmhuber on Oct 28, 2007 08:00 PM

    [33] Agreed!

  35. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 08:02 PM

[27] maybe it's because I have family that has Hot Rods, Funny Cars and Stock Cars. I also worked some construction and still never heard it called anything but a manlift. I have live in CA all my life, tho....

  36. FileGarlicHope2002 on Oct 28, 2007 08:02 PM

[27] You spend way too much time talking about lifts.

When I hear this term I picture something completely different.

  37. Chain_bunnyEggIrrenarzt on Oct 28, 2007 08:04 PM

I now have them all but the stone.

  38. Avatar_profileKiwieclectricity on Oct 28, 2007 08:04 PM

    me too....any more rock salt?

  39. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 08:06 PM

my dad used to use the stone on our lawn as a soil conditioner.

  40. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 08:06 PM

    well, it was crushed first...

  41. FileBananamcsemcclain on Oct 28, 2007 08:07 PM

type of stone, they might enjoy that stone in key west.

  42. FileRadishmhuber on Oct 28, 2007 08:08 PM

[40] Thanks! That did it for me!

  43. Img_1219Watermelonjdno on Oct 28, 2007 08:09 PM

[39] I owe you one, any ideas on the cactus?

  44. FileRocketArchangel on Oct 28, 2007 08:09 PM

Is the one that goes down through the PDA not the obvious answer? It messes up a word that fits the bottom.

  45. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 08:10 PM

they sing about it in Bare Necessities in the Jungle Book

  46. FileGarlicHope2002 on Oct 28, 2007 08:10 PM

[43] The cactus reminds me of a song in The Jungle Book....ahhhh Balooooooo

  47. FileBananamcsemcclain on Oct 28, 2007 08:10 PM

    it is the obvious answer.

  48. FileGarlicHope2002 on Oct 28, 2007 08:10 PM

[45] beat me too it. Great minds....

  49. Avatar_profileKiwieclectricity on Oct 28, 2007 08:12 PM

[39] Thanks! Finally got the stone clue.

  50. FileRocketArchangel on Oct 28, 2007 08:13 PM

    [47] (smirk) wrong ADE.

  51. Img_1219Watermelonjdno on Oct 28, 2007 08:13 PM

[46] I thought so, but it is still failing. Darnit. Checked my spelling too

  54. FileOrangeShirleyTipsy on Oct 28, 2007 08:18 PM

This was a fun one. :D

  55. Avatar_profileCherriesjumpink on Oct 28, 2007 08:24 PM

The shaving and copter-thing are giving me a little trouble.
    Salt?

  56. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Oct 28, 2007 08:26 PM

    shaving check post [4]
    copter check post [8]

  57. Img_1219Watermelonjdno on Oct 28, 2007 08:31 PM

OK, I got it, it was my own stupidity.

  58. FileBananaethnosax on Oct 28, 2007 08:41 PM

Well, I guess it has been a while since a completely photo ID hypercross. How about something more off the beaten rebus/photo ID path soon?

  59. Img_0189Egggst on Oct 28, 2007 08:58 PM

Sounds like a great idea, ethnosax. When will you be submitting it? :^)

  60. FileBananaethnosax on Oct 28, 2007 09:10 PM

[59] The question is actually "When will they be publishing it?" :) I should change my name to Murdoctor. :)

  61. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Oct 28, 2007 09:25 PM

    [59] gst
    :-) my question exactly!

[60] ahh - so you've submitted already! Good for you!

  62. FileRaspberryMarkel on Oct 28, 2007 09:23 PM

not too bad - a couple of google searches and I was done.

  63. FileKiwiFooDawg on Oct 28, 2007 11:11 PM

[32]Yeah, I agree that woulda been a lil better. I never had a necessity for that type of object in the picture. Thanks for the hint

  64. FilePeachAahzmandius on Oct 28, 2007 11:47 PM

Interesting...I'd always heard of the cactus fruit by another name...made the razor clue extra hard.

  65. Avatar_profileGrapesSledgeFist on Oct 29, 2007 06:42 AM

ohh NOW i get the pie hint. hmm... i got tripped up thinking it's a rock... though it's more of a stone.

  66. FileAcegameczar on Oct 29, 2007 11:00 AM

[23][24] Easy, don't get too Key-ed up. Maybe take a break down in southern Florida, way south!

  67. FileAcegameczar on Oct 29, 2007 11:04 AM

[65] Baloo sings about it in "The Bear Necessities."

  68. FileAppleboop on Oct 29, 2007 06:01 PM

    Salt on the shaving one?

  69. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Oct 29, 2007 06:21 PM

before a real beard, boys will have what on their face.

  70. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Oct 29, 2007 06:24 PM

I still need the hair clip if anyone can help.

  71. Avatar_profilePearfreelancelot on Oct 29, 2007 08:32 PM

[39] did it for me marvelously on the rock or "stone" one. Think of a soft, powery rock – and one that might be white in certain uses when ground up! Too salty? Well by now these clues pretty much add up!

  72. Aug080195Eggplantgusssr on Mar 20, 2010 10:34 AM

the rock one left a sour taste in my mouth
