Donimo pointed out this puzzle to me after mine ran yesterday. This puzzle predates mine. Hey, anyone else want to make an overlapper hypercross? Could be a genre.

Ummmm....what is that thing with the tusks???

  3. Avatar_profilePeachremmievets on Jan 26, 2008 07:08 PM

The tusks belong to the second animal. Any help with the first picture?

  4. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Jan 26, 2008 07:09 PM

Love the mad photoshop skilz! Great fun!

  5. Avatar_profileOrangemmarks9 on Jan 26, 2008 07:12 PM

I think I got it but it is not taking my answers. I rechecked spelling. Anyone else having issues?

  6. Avatar_profilePeachremmievets on Jan 26, 2008 07:13 PM

Got it! Boy that was fun. Nice to know my seemingly useless animal knowledge is good for something!

  7. BobnmaiaPotatoVermont_Bob on Jan 26, 2008 07:14 PM

  8. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Jan 26, 2008 07:14 PM

    [5] Doublecheck your spelling on #3 - that's where I had issues

  9. Ag1Potatojeep on Jan 26, 2008 07:14 PM

    Wow, easy night tonight.

  10. PonyguncropBananaPony on Jan 26, 2008 07:16 PM

  11. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 26, 2008 07:23 PM

any help on one and six?

  12. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 26, 2008 07:23 PM

    got half of each

  13. FileSailboatsteve59 on Jan 26, 2008 07:25 PM

ugh, another overlapper -- this one makes more sense than yesterday's I think. I mean what else would you call those things?

  14. Phi3CornPhilana on Jan 26, 2008 07:25 PM

    Fun puzzle!

  15. FileDuckiedavey3 on Jan 26, 2008 07:30 PM

Thanks [8] ... I had the same spelling issue on #3.

  16. FileClockJewelia on Jan 26, 2008 07:44 PM

Four fantastic, fun puzzles tonight, Donimo--thanks!

  17. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 26, 2008 07:53 PM

I'm getting a very unusual first half of the first pic. Can anybody confirm that's an animal most people aren't on a first name basis with?

edit: N/m, I was clearly trying to do that one backwards.

  18. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Jan 26, 2008 09:05 PM

Wow, it was like yesterday's, except it was fun!

  19. FileStrawberrysquigsdad on Jan 26, 2008 09:45 PM

This one was fun. I loved it. My 8 year old loved it. My 6 year old loved it. Fun for the whole family!

  20. FilePepperdajagr on Jan 26, 2008 10:46 PM

[17] I actually got the first one wrong by one letter (I thought the second half was young, when it turned out it was merely South American), but it let me solve it because I overwrote the wrong letter with the right one in a cross-clue.

  21. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Jan 26, 2008 10:46 PM

    I really enjoyed that!

  22. Donimo_pirate_beatlesTomatoDonimo on Jan 26, 2008 11:14 PM

[4] Thanks, but I've never used photoshop! I only use Paint and Word. Maybe one of these days I'll upgrade and regret how much time I wasted, but for now it's mad Paint and Word skills I got.

  23. FileAppleGantrell on Jan 26, 2008 11:29 PM

    stuck on hippo

  24. FilePepperdajagr on Jan 27, 2008 12:15 AM

[23] I hear Willis Alan Ramsey would love the other animal.

  25. FileStrawberrycurlykitty on Jan 27, 2008 12:27 AM

Stuck on the last one, any help?

  26. FileStrawberrycurlykitty on Jan 27, 2008 12:33 AM

Got it! I was being too specific. =)

  27. Sc002a57f6Pumpkinrunart on Jan 27, 2008 03:18 AM

    FUN!! REALLY CLEVER.

  28. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 27, 2008 06:04 AM

hhmm, need just a hint on the one with the tusks, well, got the part that has the tusks, but the other part has me baffled.

this is ia fun puzzle, I am enjoying it.

  29. FilePancakeshatemachine on Jan 27, 2008 06:07 AM

[28] Look at a one word wonder previously submitted by Hope2002 and you'll see the animal...

  30. FileRocketsteelersluver on Jan 27, 2008 06:10 AM

[28] The head doesn't normally have tusks (tusks are part of the other "part" of the creature).

  31. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 27, 2008 06:35 AM

[29][30] thank you - that was exactly what I needed,

but, I seem to have them all, and I seem to have them all spelled correctly and it still says no - and already double checked the spelling on #3 lol

  32. FilePancakeshatemachine on Jan 27, 2008 08:23 AM

[31]How about #4? I misspelled that one first time around.

  33. Avatar_profileRocketabluerodeofan on Jan 27, 2008 08:53 AM

Can't quite make out the head of number five - any help??

  34. FilePancakeshatemachine on Jan 27, 2008 08:54 AM

[33]Look "down under" for the answer.

  35. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 27, 2008 10:15 AM

[32] thank you that was it.
this was fun, eve with getting stuck on a couple...it was still solvable and I enjoyed it. thanks for all the help everyone

  36. FileRocketAveOscuro on Jan 27, 2008 02:33 PM

This is easy but it won't accept my answer, I've checked all the spellings and all posted suggestions, anyone else experiencing this?

  37. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Jan 27, 2008 05:47 PM

    Nice one!

  38. FileAppleHopesGrrl on Jan 27, 2008 05:52 PM

I thought this was very weird to me.

  39. Aug080195Eggplantgusssr on Mar 27, 2010 12:20 PM

There was only one in number five and that was throwing my thinking off...

  40. FileSailboatmbumby on Mar 18, 2012 07:32 PM

Warning to current solvers -- the numbers are not now the same as they were when some of the above was said.
