  2. FileGarlicHope2002 on Jan 09, 2008 07:06 PM

    Missing two

  3. FileGarlicHope2002 on Jan 09, 2008 07:06 PM

    oops

  4. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Jan 09, 2008 07:23 PM

That was surprisingly fun. Nice puzzle!

  5. Avatar_profileKiwiLeezer on Jan 09, 2008 07:24 PM

First pass, didn't get a single one. This is a load of bull.

  6. FileApplediandneo on Jan 09, 2008 07:27 PM

I am totally lost. Throw me some salt please.

  7. FileBananarissa2sassy on Jan 09, 2008 07:29 PM

    Any salt at all?

  8. FileSailboatCalloravion on Jan 09, 2008 07:32 PM

All the pictures have something in common. Figure out how to use it, if you're able.

  9. FileAcescarver on Jan 09, 2008 07:32 PM

Who was culpable for this puzzle? Loved the puzzle and theme. Thumbs up. My wife loves the last one.

  10. Avatar_profileKiwiLeezer on Jan 09, 2008 07:37 PM

[8] I see that they all have something in common. My beef is that I don't know how to use it.

  11. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Jan 09, 2008 07:42 PM

    [5] You stole my line

  12. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Jan 09, 2008 07:43 PM

    This one is unbearable.

  13. FileRocketYollege on Jan 09, 2008 07:49 PM

Anybody have any salt for the New York Volunteers?

  14. FileRocketYollege on Jan 09, 2008 07:49 PM

    Never mind...

  15. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Jan 09, 2008 07:50 PM

    Absolutely incredible

  16. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Jan 09, 2008 07:55 PM

awesome! i actually made a one word wonder puzzle that followed the same principle for the last one, only it used a ball instead of a bull. Your picture was vastly superior to my final version - which caused many tanganites trouble.

  17. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 09, 2008 08:04 PM

Didn't know this was going to be published tonight... thanks to all!

  18. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 09, 2008 08:07 PM

[16] I actually ran across a few other Picasso pictures that I was dying to use in this puzzle, but I told myself they all had to be stylistically different.

  19. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 09, 2008 08:10 PM

For me, the ripped zebra one needs some salt. Anybody?

  20. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 09, 2008 08:10 PM

    ugh, never mind

  21. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 09, 2008 08:12 PM

    [21] That's pretty salty.

    They are all real words.

  22. NamyminiSailboatnamyzarc on Jan 09, 2008 08:14 PM

Nicely created clues! All hypercross should be like this: a little "what the?" at the beginning, but then everything just clicking into place once the theme is established!

Great job! 5 stars on fun!

  23. Avatar_profileGrapesmlochtefeld on Jan 09, 2008 08:15 PM

I'm still stuck on the New York Volunteers picture. Any salt?

  24. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 09, 2008 08:16 PM

[24] Half the battle is figuring out what our four-hooved friend was involved in.

  25. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 09, 2008 08:18 PM

[24] The author could've chosen any picture of soldiers and added a male cow.

  26. Avatar_profileGrapesmlochtefeld on Jan 09, 2008 08:23 PM

    got it - thx

  27. Current.deal.avOnionmonocle on Jan 09, 2008 08:33 PM

I stuck on the last picture.. and then the one that crosses only the last pictures line.

  28. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 09, 2008 08:40 PM

[28] Your first question: Where is the explosive, relative to the bovine?

  29. FilePlumfishboy on Jan 09, 2008 08:39 PM

[28] With a face like that, he could really go places.

  30. Current.deal.avOnionmonocle on Jan 09, 2008 08:43 PM

[29] click click boom! got it. duh.

[30] *I* resisted that answer for a long time... it deviates from the rest.

    good puzzle though. thanks.

  31. FilePeppercyncat on Jan 09, 2008 08:46 PM

    [1] Congratulations!

[16] I solved that puzzle of yours just last month, and I remembered it when I saw the last clue. It helped me get this one faster. Thanks.

I enjoyed this puzzle. Only needed to look up the Simpsons character. I never pay attention when my son's watching it. :)

  32. Ag1Potatojeep on Jan 09, 2008 09:37 PM

So far it's been fun... I really like the last one.

EDIT: Nevermind the first request... I'm removing it. Maybe too salty.

I still want help with the soldiers, though...

    -JEEP

  33. Ag1Potatojeep on Jan 09, 2008 09:40 PM

And got it after the edit. Fun puzzle.

  34. Avatar_profileGrapesfiorebrilliante on Jan 09, 2008 10:33 PM

Aaargh. I just can't get that last one!

  35. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Jan 09, 2008 10:40 PM

need salt on the dance one, please

  36. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Jan 09, 2008 10:41 PM

[35] What's that in the cloud? And what is it in?

  37. FilePepperdajagr on Jan 09, 2008 11:07 PM

And here I thought, except for the number of letters, that my answer to the leftmost down was suitable.

  38. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Jan 09, 2008 11:08 PM

Ok, I think I have all but the Latin dance looking one, and I can come up with two plausible answers for that, so I'm satisfied. Anyone willing to Tangagram the Latin dance one to me, or provide salt?

  39. FileGrapesMadHatir on Jan 09, 2008 11:37 PM

    remarkable puzzle!!!

    [39] not the dance...the girl

  40. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Jan 09, 2008 11:55 PM

I still don't get the girl dancing one, unless my cards one is wrong, will someone Tangagram me the second letter of the girl dancing one?

  41. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Jan 10, 2008 12:23 AM

[23] Agreed. Really fun puzzle, and great looking, too. Nice job with those images.

The "tile" answer doesn't really fit, though, as it doesn't follow the same pattern as the rest... which would have been nice. But big thumbs up on your letter crossings - you gave me the "good" letters on the "harder" words, something I wish more people would try to do.

  42. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Jan 10, 2008 01:18 AM

    ?

  43. Sc002a57f6Pumpkinrunart on Jan 10, 2008 03:16 AM

    Really fun!!

  44. Thunk_logo_colorPotatofachanlahd on Jan 10, 2008 05:15 AM

    This was unbullievably fun!

  45. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 10, 2008 06:40 AM

the first and second ones are still stubbornly stumping me. The rest were pretty easy.

  46. FilePepperChupper on Jan 10, 2008 07:01 AM

You just need the genre of the dancing girl picture

  47. FilePumpkinjeffg on Jan 10, 2008 07:05 AM

Terrific puzzle. Best in a long time.

  48. FilePumpkinimapuzzl on Jan 10, 2008 07:28 AM

[46] I was lost on the first one as well, then remembered to look at EVERYTHING in the picture, even the background.

  49. Avatar_profileAppleAlkara on Jan 10, 2008 07:56 AM

Fun one with nice, tangible clues. ;)

  50. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Jan 10, 2008 08:00 AM

[46] For the second one, see [26], and I will add that it could be soldiers from different "sides" shooting at one another. I think this clue could have been better if the caption was left off. It made me try to find something specific to the unit mentioned; I needed help to think more generic.

Edit: still like the puzzle though - it was manageable (are we sick of these puns yet? :-)

  51. FilePlumsjlee on Jan 10, 2008 08:42 AM

Once you get the theme, this puzzle is actually fairly easy. The two tough ones were the one with the soldiers and the wooden tile. I think the wooden tile one is a bit of a stretch as it does not follow the "pattern" of the other answers.

  52. MoonrakerCarrotmoonraker on Jan 10, 2008 08:59 AM

I love the last one. That's hilarious. Good puzzle.

  53. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Jan 10, 2008 08:59 AM

    Great puzzle!!
    Nice "aha" moment

    Especially liked the last one!

  54. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 10, 2008 09:33 AM

Ok, thanks for all the help...I Thought I had them all right, I still think I have them all right, but it is telling me it is not correct! aarrgg...I like this one - but it bugs me not to know which one might be spelled wrong or whatever sigh

  55. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Jan 10, 2008 09:41 AM

[55] I agree, it would be really nice know which ones are wrong.

[47] Thanks, your salt plus reading the fine print finally did it for me. Never would have got that otherwise.

  56. Avatar_profileWatermelonmaufry on Jan 10, 2008 10:06 AM

That was fun! Best puzzle I've done on here so far!

  57. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 10, 2008 11:32 AM

well, guess that's it for this puzzle...they are correctly spelled and everything else I can think of and it is still wrong...not going to spend more time on it.

  58. Pigeon.poop.payoffApplemdin617 on Jan 10, 2008 12:01 PM

The caption on the soldiers one definitely sends you in a different direction, especially if you read up on the unit in question:
    http://www.spanamwar.com/65thNewYork.htm

  59. FilePlumVaughn on Jan 10, 2008 12:47 PM

Why can't I get the cards one? It's not suitable or bullets.
    What am I missing here?

  60. FilePlumVaughn on Jan 10, 2008 12:48 PM

Nevermind, I got it. Now I have to figure out what the dance one is since it isn't tangible.

  61. FilePlumVaughn on Jan 10, 2008 12:50 PM

And I've got the puzzle now.
Next time I shouldn't be so quick to ask for help.

  62. FileAppledingo262 on Jan 10, 2008 12:59 PM

I'm still having a cow over the last one. Nothing is clicking....

  63. BobnmaiaPotatoVermont_Bob on Jan 10, 2008 01:08 PM

feh, i'm totally stuck on the picasso image
can someone TM me the first letter or something, please?

p.s. really love the puzzle, just having a total brain cramp on the last clue :-0

  64. FileClockmust67 on Jan 10, 2008 01:09 PM

What a bunch of bull. I loved it! Fantastic idea and a great execution.

  65. FileClockmust67 on Jan 10, 2008 01:11 PM

[63] [64] You have a bomb and were is it? First letter is "a"

  66. FileAppledingo262 on Jan 10, 2008 01:28 PM

    Must have something else wrong

  67. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 10, 2008 01:43 PM

    [67] Tangagram sent.

  68. FileAppledingo262 on Jan 10, 2008 02:05 PM

thanks must67, Got the bull one now. Unfortuntaly, it means other ones are not correct =^/

  69. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Jan 10, 2008 02:07 PM

The second ones got me stumped.

  70. FileAppledingo262 on Jan 10, 2008 02:49 PM

[70] Capkincaid, A little birdie told me the answer

You solved this puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 296th Tanga member to solve it.
    Zero seconds... HA!

  71. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Jan 10, 2008 03:57 PM

I wish a little birdie would tell me.

  72. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jan 10, 2008 05:22 PM

    [72] Tweeeet. Check your Tangagram.

  73. Avatar_profileGrapesnextinline on Jan 10, 2008 06:26 PM

How do you tangagram someone? Would someone look at what I've got and help me figure out where I went wrong?

  74. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Jan 10, 2008 06:33 PM

[74] You can send them to me. Go to my profile and under my avatar is the "send a tangagram" option.

  75. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Jan 10, 2008 06:41 PM

Thought I had it. must have a misspelling.

  76. Avatar_profileGrapesnextinline on Jan 10, 2008 06:49 PM

    okay I sent it.

  77. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Jan 10, 2008 06:50 PM

    fixed it.

  78. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Jan 10, 2008 06:53 PM

[77] OK, I responded. Look up near the top of the page under your notifications.

  79. FileSailboatyelowflower on Jan 17, 2008 01:09 PM

[72] I wish a little birdie would tell me as well, I have them all, it should be right, but it isn't. I am just a WEE bit frustrated! lol Oh well, can't get them all.

  80. N4802839_32127196_7940PearTakara8tt on Jun 17, 2008 09:21 PM
