Tall tower thing is under construction. You just know they're gunning for "tallest". For the castle I described the picture and it was the third image that popped up. :)
Thanks, [4] and [5] but I still can't figure out the castle. I guess I'm not describing it to google properly and this is just not fun and exactly why I hate image identification puzzles. I've been stuck on the same one for almost 10 mins.
yaaay!
You were the 7th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 114 points for solving this.
The old looking temple threw me for a while.. I tried Incan and Mayan and Aztec temples.. none of them look the same... finally I got it, not what I expected.
Yes, I agree [7] I do not like these image puzzles. Too difficult for me. Maybe I'm not "cultured" enough. But they just end up pissing me off by the end of the night. I still have five of these left.
[11] and [7} Actually, I kind of like these because they force me to hone my advanced search strategies, and I come away feeling as if I've learned something. I much prefer them to puzzles that make me try a bunch of different number patterns until I finally hit on the one the author used. Unless the end result is particularly clever, I end up feeling as though I've wasted my time, with nothing to show for it but Tanga points.
Great hypercross btw! Just what I like, most of them recognizable and only a couple you have to scrounge for. ^_^ The city where I live (Long Beach) actually has a very large population of the people that built that intricate looking temple. Long Beach is the most ethnically diverse large city in the United States. Wiki "Long beach, CA" and you might get a clue to that temple's origin. Long Beach has the second-largest __________ community outside of _____________.
Mysticalmelody you are a genius!!!! I had no idea it was spelled like that. Learn something new everyday.
Wow, go figure tanga is both madening and educational at the same time.
[14] I suspect we have fewer solvers because the puzzle itself was not posted at the usual time. I was checking at 10pm last night, but didn't see this one. Went to bed, came to work, and there it was. I liked this puzzle- got all of them but the ancient palace off the cuff, but had to dredge google images to find that one.
I just finished. When I worked on all the other puzzles, this one wasnt posted and I checked it when I woke up and started working on it. Had to sneak a little time to get the last 2 answers.
The triple tower temple was hard as there are alot of others that look similar. (not salt, just an observation). Of course, if you follow the Long Beach clue above you will figure out the country which helps alot.
[14], [26] Yeah, judging by the first entry here, it went up at about 1:30 am in my time zone. Now, I am normally still up at that time, but I must have fallen asleep on the stupid couch, so I didn't see this one until just now. Too bad too, because I solved it in less than 5 minutes, as I only had to look up a couple of them (and one or two others for spelling).
This was super easy. Mostly because I already knew what all but one of those were and it only took a minute on google's tallest buildings search to find the last one.
There you go [52]..."You are a freaking genius!! You solved this puzzle. You solved this puzzle in -3.50 seconds and were the 391st Tanga member to solve it. You earned 5 points for solving this.
4th. Google Images is DEFINITELY your friend.
Can you offer any salt for the last image (tall tower thing) or castle with water?
man this is tough even with google images
Tall tower thing is under construction. You just know they're gunning for "tallest". For the castle I described the picture and it was the third image that popped up. :)
[2] Castle with water is magnifico, moor or less.
Just made top 10--spelling counts down under!
Thanks, [4] and [5] but I still can't figure out the castle. I guess I'm not describing it to google properly and this is just not fun and exactly why I hate image identification puzzles. I've been stuck on the same one for almost 10 mins.
I included "reflecting pool" in my query.
yaaay!

[9] half a world away, in fact . . .
Yes, I agree [7] I do not like these image puzzles. Too difficult for me. Maybe I'm not "cultured" enough. But they just end up pissing me off by the end of the night. I still have five of these left.
[8] Thank you, I never would have EVER thought of that. Ugh.
Thanks [4] for that help.
15TH. i'M A LITTLE SURPRISED THERE AREN'T MORE PEOPLE WHO'VE SOLVED THIS

I had to use help for the 2 others are having problems with... one is even a game!
HALLELUJAH! Not in the top 20, but I'm just so happy to have it done. Thanks for all the salt guys!
I didn't expect my scant familiarity of vexillologic peculiarities to help me out, but I was surprised.
ive got them all I know, but it says im wrong. I'm stumped
[21] spelling? Check them all. Especially the one down under.
Mysticalmelody you are a genius!!!! I had no idea it was spelled like that. Learn something new everyday.

Sweet puzzle a few had me stumped but still got 40th
Yet another blah images exercise. I prefer puzzles that can be solved.

That was fun. I like architecture.
[26] AwpH, what time do you start work in the morning?!?
Wow...98. Sheesh.
[18] several of them are, actually
Very disappointed at the late posting. As mentioned in [26] I did not check until just now at work.
Being a Sid Meier's Civilization player helped me with this, significantly.
This was VERY helpful http://www.greatbuildings.com/pix/picture_index_001.html

Google, board games, and College helped me solve this one.
[23], um, how else would you spell it. I can't think of a way to screw up that spelling.
got it. thanks for the salt. In particular the construction tower.
It won't let me edit comments.
This helps alot.

Thank goodness for Civ IV
Nice. A Google-free puzzle. Thanks!
I've checked my answers a million times, spelling and everything. . .still not letting me submit. . .
me too. cracking up.
[38] I misspelled that one as well, and what I did wrong was to replace a Y with an I.
Woot, finally got it!
Without changing a single answer, it finally submits. . .baw. . who knows. . .
Barad-Dur doesn't fit!
[49] lol! So THATs where Sauron is these days!
That was a fun one! Finally a hypercross where I had a chance... Only one I never heard of was #3...
"You solved this hypercross puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 281st Tanga member to solve it."
Ha! Beat that time, Tangarines!
This was super easy. Mostly because I already knew what all but one of those were and it only took a minute on google's tallest buildings search to find the last one.
I really enjoyed this one! I love travel and architecture, so this puzzle was a ton of fun!
You solved this hypercross puzzle in 0 seconds and were the 312nd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 20 points for solving this.
Spelling and the really tall one are what slowed me down!
