Who's the guy with the funny outline? That's the only one I'm missing. And there's no hint as to who he is. I guess you just have to be old! :<
wow....I have no clue who most of these people are. Not looking good for me!
Anybody know who the kid in black and white is? Whith the 80s style thin tie and all?
I brute forced it in the end. My highest point total on a puzzle so far, 110.
Cherylo: He likes birthdays.
Holy cow!! Tough! But I still solved in 0 seconds, lol.

First one down, leaning on that car... what show?
Edit: Ok, I still don't know the source, but was able to guess based on crossing letters. :)
[1] There was a 2004 movie remake with Stiller and Wilson...
[7] He goes with the guy right underneath him...
What the hey, with the Dirk Benedict picture?
that took some doing.
Woot! Dirk Benedict took a little work.
[5] acolyte: thanks. That lead me close enough to get there!
19th/100 pts!! Yahoo!
[10] Arnot: you can find it if you look at the right source. Keep trying!
Okay, I've checked so many places in the web... Starbuck has no first name. Unless that isn't Starbuck. Help!
[14] Boo, Hiss. Not on imdb, wiki, scifi, and a few others. I shouldn't have to dig that hard. Including this:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061112124435AAdi3k3&show=7
Which confirms what I already thought.
[15] Yes, he has a first name, google it with the name of the show. Check Wiki with his name and rank.
[16] I found it on Wiki easy enough...
[15] I found it on one of those sources you mentioned; you just have to dig a few layers.
40th, but that's because I'd filled in the only reasonable name I could think of for the blond guy in the leather jacket and then sat on it while trying to find him. Finally just submitted the guess. (Never did find him.)

my first top 100!
Well, okay, I found it. On Wiki. But not on the main page for the show. And definitely not on imdb. But I did also find this:
He doesn't have one. This is very slightly vaguely proven by:
My name's Andrea Pulaski. Like, what's yours?"
"Starbuck."
"Starbuck. Is that your first name or your last name?"
"What?"
"Starbuck--is that, like, your first name or your last name?"
"It's the only name I've got!"
"Oh." Silence.
Followed by this:
At the Hollywood Expo in Plano, TX on 15 July 2001, Dirk Benedict (who
played Starbuck) was asked this question. His answer was that the
character, as written, never had a first name, but Benedict opined
that if Starbuck did have a first name, it would probably be "Studs."
Got a big laugh. :-)
STUDS fits, by the way... but it is not correct.
And I still call shennanigans on this clue :)
[22] If you look up Lieutenant Starbuck on Wiki - it is right there at the top in bold.
Wow... If you don't know the show, these are impossible... Still don't know what show/movie two of them are from... (bottom two across)
still no idea with the yellow outlined, leather jacket guy. any help?
[25] If you know the guy above him, that's his partner. Of course, the coolest part of the show was the Ford Torino they drove!
arnott, it does indeed show up on face's imdb page. thats where I found it anyway.
Any help with the last one down "...till I'm dead" guy?
[25] thanks scoutmom. did not know the guy above, but recognized the car. And I never saw the original, just the new one.
[24] The girl was on a show that spun off from Different Strokes. The guy was in a movie with Mollie Ringwald...
[28] whats in a nose?
[28] Google the phrase from the t-shirt!
[31] Excellent salt!
Awesome puzzle. Tons of fun! Definitely less obscure than cat breeds or characters from animated Christmas specials...
who is the kid by the arcade/pinball machine?
oops -- just got it by using the two letters I had and trying a few names
[35] he's at the maxx, and he was recently in a "homemade" movie
[27] LOFL. You're right! There it is... but not under the original show. Only as a 2003 voiceover. Still... it's definitely there on the page.
Okay, I retract my previous posts :)
[30], [31], [32] Thanks for your help...it took me a while but I got it!
[20] You are clearly not a child of the 70s. Don't give up on us!
[37] Ive never seen the show, just looked down the list till I saw a name that fit.
Thanks for the salt [17]!
[35] A Celebrity Fit Club alumnus.
[39] Why did you have to remind me about that?! Now that's stuck in my head.
At least it's replacing that Heat Miser/Snow Miser song from yesterday!
And I was still 93rd???
any help on the last one across, the black and white?
Okay, we've triple checked every answer... unless the guy with chopsticks is entirely unlike what we have (his actual name doesn't fit, but what he was regularly called does), I know we have it all right.
Am I missing something here?
Just missing the guy at the pinball machine and the black and white photo. Unfortunately, there's no way to figure them out without a clue (and I haven't gotta clue!)
At least with the cat breeds I just gave up right away so I didn't have to waste so much time getting most of the puzzle solved ... oh well!
[46] Alternate spellings, depending on your source.
I
Might
Do
Better
[46] The guy with the chopsticks does, indeed, have another name that fits. Right there on IMDB.
It's amazing how many of these had nicknames or other names that also fit.
[49] Thanks. It was spelled differently in wikipedia, and didn't fit.
[45] On IMDB, his character's name is listed as a 6-letter nickname and a 4-letter first name. The nickname doesn't fit the puzzle, but the longer version of the 4-letter name does.
142nd...studs is WAY better for Starbuck
[45] The Duck? You need help finding the Duck? Try a shade of red good lookin'.
Don't know the guy standing at the Mr. Do arcade game.
Excellent puzzle. I had to look up quite a few of these.
Any salt for the kid in the blue sweater?
[56] The guy in the black leather jacket can tell you.
For Starbuck, just put the autograph into IMDB and it pulls up the name on that actor's listing.
Lord help me...I knew them all.
OMG. I think I over abused wiki for this one. Off the top of my head, I only knew 2.
Something odd about the Starbuck thing... If that was ever used anywhere, I would like to see the source. Maybe it was in a comic or something, but I'm buying that it's "canon"...
I still have no idea who the guy in the hat is in the Black & White photo. Any salt?
62, try googling Molly Ringwald movies.
Thanks Sylvia! That helped! Now if I could get Pat's Name spelled correctly I'd be in business!
Wiki, IMDB, Wiki, IMDB, Wiki, IMDB.....
P.S. would have been better to have some clues on some of the characters as to what they were in, I only found out from the salt on a couple. The one with the blurb about the character was not needed for me, but that would have helped on the others.
Yet another "identify these people you've never seen before in your life" puzzle. Uncle!
I must type REALLY fast...

Now that it's only worth one point, someone want to tell me the name of the guy at the arcade game?
He's from Saved By the Bell. He was generally known by a one word name but the puzzle doesn't want that name. I hope that helps!
"Saved By The Bell" definitely helped ... thanks!
The one thing I hate more than solving these types of puzzles is researching enough to get 13 out of 14 and having no clue about the last one.
Sorry about not being around to give some salt. I got the email about it getting posted on Friday, but was out-of-town... poor timing.
In any case, I figured with the title of the puzzle, nicknames would be omitted. I was thinking of giving more clues, but I thought most of the shows/movies were fairly well-known from the 70s, 80s and 90s, so I didn't think it was necessary. I guess I was wrong.
I hope my next one will be a bit better received.
Good golly - I only recognized 5 of those - and only knew 2. Painful!
