  2. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 06:19 PM

Ok.. weird.. I got it, but it's not going to save my answer :-S

  3. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 06:21 PM

Yeah, heather, it is early. I think that may be why it's not accepting my answers as when I navigate back to the daily fun page, it reverts to Jewelia's puzzle from yesterday.

  4. FileBananarenfurdson (Tanga Admin) on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:04 PM

  5. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:05 PM

  6. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:07 PM

  12. FilePancakesCWarrior on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:13 PM

  14. FilePancakesCWarrior on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:14 PM

[11] Try to read the text behind the object pointed to by the arrows ... that might help you figure out the object pointed to be the arrows. The husband of Jennifer Lopez would get it right away.

  15. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:14 PM

Great! Salt on the snake like thing in the indian pic?

  23. FileSailboatyelowflower on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:17 PM

    [19] thanks, now the butterfly?

  24. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:17 PM

[15] the arrows identify the exact same thing, don't try and find differnt parts. just try and look past it for your clue on what it is.

  25. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:17 PM

[18] You'll grab onto it sooner or later.

  26. FileDuckienrkii on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:18 PM

  34. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:26 PM

[32] I often use it when I talk about changing money from GB£ to US$. It's the exchange.

  35. FileSailboatyelowflower on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:23 PM

    [34] lol great minds

  36. FileAcescarver on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:24 PM

[31] Thank you. You're welcome in my puzzle home any time.

  37. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:24 PM

[35] Exactly what I was thinking. I just need to work on my typing speed. I blame it on the early morning hours.

  38. FileAcescarver on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:26 PM

AwpH, nice puzzle and theme. I enjoyed it. It gets the scarver seal of approval.

  39. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:25 PM

[all of you] The number took me forever, but got the rest as well, 57th, fun concept.

  40. FileSailboatyelowflower on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:26 PM

this was a fun one, took a few minutes to get the theme and a little salt from my friends, but fun to work out. Thanks AwpH

  41. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:27 PM

That was a good puzzle AwpH, but a heck of a theme to get. I was lucky to have seen it when it was up the few minutes earlier.

  42. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:27 PM

This is two nights in a row I'm just not seeing the theme - Blah! : (

  43. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:28 PM

I must be blind. I still can't see what I am supposed to see in that egyptian poster with the funky snake-like thing in front of it. Any more salt?

  44. FileAcescarver on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:28 PM

[42] Repeat aloud: Jeepers, what could it be?

  45. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:28 PM

[42] Look back at post [13] and see if there's something unusual about it that might lead you to the theme.

  46. FileAcescarver on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:29 PM

    [43] Think Cleopatra

  47. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:30 PM

[46] I got that part. I don't know her except she was the original queen of denile.

  48. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:30 PM

[43] Oh no, being stuck on the serpent one could.. make one draw in the breath sharply, as from shock.

  49. FilePepperpepperhead on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:31 PM

    [43] [47]hey i asked you a question look where i asked

  50. FileAcescarver on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:33 PM

[43][47] How did Cleo die? One might say she was snakebit.

  51. FilePepperpepperhead on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:32 PM

[43] [47] You know me always being sssssssssssssilly

  52. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:32 PM

[48] Is THAT what that thing is?

Thanks for the rock salt. We could use more for our roads here in Michigan.

  53. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:32 PM

Thanks scoutmom! I was out playing NLOS Cannon Challenge (see scoutmom's link on the discussion pages) killing time and I missed this puzzle coming up; hopefully, I can solve quickly and salvage some points!

  54. FileSailboatyelowflower on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:33 PM

[43] another name for a similar creature? nm you got it.

  55. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:34 PM

[52] Should I edit that post? Is it too FMHGy?

  56. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:37 PM

[55] Not for someone like me :-)

  57. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:41 PM

Oh Boy! I solved all the other puzzles tonight without a hitch, but even with the salty seasonings, I'm just not getting this one. My brain is just not seeing what I'm supposed to see.

  58. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Sat Mar 01, 2008 08:53 PM

Any salt on the heart & cupid? It's all I have left.

Edit: As soon as you ask for help - that always seems to trigger it in your brain!

  59. FilePeppercyncat on Sat Mar 01, 2008 10:03 PM

    Fun and clean puzzle, awpH!

  60. Current.deal.avOnionmonocle on Sat Mar 01, 2008 11:28 PM

meh.. not a fan. If not for some sledge hammer salt on the theme, I would have never been able to see it. None of the answers are actually what is in the picture and I am amazed anyone was able to make that leap.

  61. FileEggMurdoctor on Sun Mar 02, 2008 05:28 AM

Took a while to figure out the trick... and even with that, some of the answers were difficult to discern. But it was a fun puzzle. Well done.

  62. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Sun Mar 02, 2008 06:51 AM

Any salt on the tools? What they are is not what the answer includes.

Nevermind... I've always heard those called 'files'. The puzzle wants a similar tool with a little bevel part on the end, I think. But the same dilemma as #7 in the hard puzzle tonight. :)

  63. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Sun Mar 02, 2008 08:03 AM

So, when did this one come back up last night? I left about 30 minutes after the usual post time, having already finished the other 3 dailies.

  64. FileRocketokmaybenot on Sun Mar 02, 2008 09:40 AM

[63] It ended up being reposted just over an hour late. Maybe they were making up for the oops in coming out an hour early.

  65. FileCarrotpitamuffin on Sun Mar 02, 2008 12:39 PM

Very nice puzzle. Guess it helped that I caught onto the theme right away.

  66. FilePotatoAwpH on Sun Mar 02, 2008 02:48 PM

Sorry to everyone who found the theme difficult to catch on to - I honestly thought the title of the puzzle would be enough coupled with one clue that clicked to immediately suggest the theme.

Thanks for the multiple positive comments, too! Glad people enjoyed it!

  67. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Sun Mar 02, 2008 03:00 PM

[66] I enjoyed it, too. And, like you said, all it took for me to figure out the theme was the title and one particular clue. I think I figured out the Cleo one first, and that opened the floodgates.

  68. FileSailboatRunAmuck on Sun Mar 02, 2008 03:26 PM

Golly Gee - it only took me the whole day to figure out the theme. After the a-ha, the puzzle only took me about a minute to complete.

  69. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Sat Sep 11, 2010 03:36 PM

Puzzle and theme ok, except for a plural on the files that shouldn't have been and a poor last clue that didn't clue anything; it was only cuz of the theme that it was obvious...
