Solve the clues to fill in the grid! Type in the answers to the clues on the right side of the Hypercross puzzle below. Clicking a thumbnail image will enlarge it. You can Tab through the clues while the image is enlarged. You can also click on the first space of a word in the grid to view the clue for that word. If two words begin in the first cell, click the cell again to view the downward word. Be sure to check your spelling! Click on the "Check your Answers" button when you think you’ve got them all.

Aargh! I've got it all filled in, but it's not taking.
Edit: I had two possibilities for #3, and they were both wrong!

I was in the same boat. Had one misspelling and #4 completely wrong. You can TG with what you have.

That was a lot of research. I think I knew about 4 of them without looking them up. This site helped:

Too many obscure breeds. Even after finding them all I can say I've never heard of about half of them. and yes, #6 looks like a Maltese.

[8], totally agree, Maltese was my first choice, shih tzu my second, Lhasa my 3rd....
I liked this, only needed to look up #6 because it may not be the best pic of the breed. Funny, I was contemplating getting a puppy of this breed that was also this color!
And I first thought Pharoah hound instead of the sunny beach place....
#3 - Totally obscure for the AKC sites. I did find it on wiki under the type of dog it is - spitz. The AKC doesn't list every dog breed int he world, only the most numerous in America, so a lot of obscure but awesome breeds aren't recognized. Some, like the Jack Russel Terrier Breeders's Group, don't want AKC recognition, as they think it will ruin the breed.
Now, how do I convince my hubby that I NEED a dog?

[12] #3 IS listed in that AKC site. The problem is that the picture above makes it look like a taller dog, more like Malmute size, when it actually has very short legs.
