    Answers checked.

Too many choices on some and not linking...making this a bit less obvious that I had hoped.

  3. Phi3CornPhilana on Sun May 25, 2008 03:10 PM

Hmmm, I've figured out some, but others don't work.

  4. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sun May 25, 2008 03:20 PM

Many of them don't match up to any of the given names I've found...

Edit: Okay, got it finally. Some of them are tricky, and hard to find.

  5. FileEggRPardoe on Sun May 25, 2008 03:16 PM

Got stuff to fit....ugh...now to find the error as it won't take.

  6. Phi3CornPhilana on Sun May 25, 2008 03:17 PM

I have answers that seem to work for all but #4 and #8.

  7. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sun May 25, 2008 03:22 PM

My first time at first...too bad it's not worth anything...

  8. FileEggRPardoe on Sun May 25, 2008 03:23 PM

Ugh...sometimes its the specific animal, sometimes it a more general term for the animal(s)....

  9. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sun May 25, 2008 03:31 PM

Anybody who needs a link that actually lists all the groups in question is welcome to TG me.

  10. Phi3CornPhilana on Sun May 25, 2008 03:34 PM

    Phew, that was painful!

  11. FileClockJewelia on Sun May 25, 2008 03:34 PM

The animals in #2 are too wily to be wolves.

  12. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Sun May 25, 2008 03:35 PM

[6] Those aren't vultures, think of another name for them.

  13. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Sun May 25, 2008 03:52 PM

    The words I have for [1] and [14] don't work together. :(

Edit: Got it, but it took 5 different websites to find it. And the ones I was using were pretty comprehensive.

  14. Phi3CornPhilana on Sun May 25, 2008 03:48 PM

I'll bet your answer for #14 is one of the many correct options for that animal, but just not the particular answer required for this puzzle. TG me.

  15. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Sun May 25, 2008 03:54 PM

[14] Thanks, but I finally found it. Frustrating that the other answer, which is an odd one too, fit perfectly there.

  16. Ag1Potatojeep on Sun May 25, 2008 04:17 PM

I'm a big fan of collective nouns... TG me the other one that fit, if you don't mind.

[11] Thanks, Jewelia. Your comment helped me. :)

  18. EarlyCarrotxanadudan on Sun May 25, 2008 04:23 PM

finally had to use a crossword solver for #8. nice idea with not so great execution - too many variables.

  19. My-icon-largeSailboatTheRizz on Sun May 25, 2008 04:42 PM

Ugh ... I've got "correct" answers for everything in the puzzle, and everything fits, but it still won't take. The only ones I'm really unsure of are the fish and the blackbirds (because they only cross at one letter).

  20. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sun May 25, 2008 05:10 PM

[19] You can TG me your answers if you need a check.

  21. FilePumpkincherylo on Sun May 25, 2008 06:42 PM

I have a little list...but it's not correct in some way. I tried a variation on one of them (#12) with still no luck.

  22. FileEggMurdoctor on Sun May 25, 2008 07:36 PM

[19] I'm in the same boat here. Filled in all the answers, everything fits and crosses well... but it won't take.

  23. Ag1Potatojeep on Sun May 25, 2008 07:43 PM

TG me your answers and I'll help out

  24. FilePepperdajagr on Sun May 25, 2008 07:48 PM

[11] Thanks. I'd never have gotten it without that. (Especially since the page I found had a word that fit in the blanks for wolves.)

  25. Img_0189Egggst on Sun May 25, 2008 08:44 PM

The answer for #1 applies only to wild pigs; those in the photo are clearly domestic.

Great idea for a theme. Probably should have stuck to the ones that only have one choice.

  26. VaderhardtimesEgggchild469 on Tue May 27, 2008 02:11 PM

Wow, that was a lot of work for 3 points!

  27. Avatar_profileKiwitaznjazz on Tue May 27, 2008 08:03 PM

    too much work for me

  28. Bp3Raspberryendel3 on Mon Sep 27, 2010 04:23 PM

Oh what a PIA.....this website has the most unusual one that wasn't listed on most sites....

  29. FileDuckiedharmaRN on Tue Jan 10, 2012 11:40 PM

[28] has the list you may need, especially if you have 'draft' for the Goldfish....
    PIA, but educational!!
